100,000 Thank you"s!    I tried what you suggested, and can now
watch PLAYON through my Roku on the TV set.   Previously, Roku insisted that I have Adobe Flash Player.   Aaron

  • Get a popup an exception runtime error has occurred in script unable to jit debug

i get a pop up window, just-in-time debugging
An exception 'runtime error' has occurred in script.
However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to JIT debug.

'''I think I solved it myself yesterday, indirectly''' by deleting a Googleupdater.exe file dated 042511. It has been over 24 hours now and no sign of the 'Just-In-Time Debugger' pop-up. Whew...it was incessant.
Not sure how I got the Googleupdater.exe file on my computer. I did download Microsoft Security Essentials to help find the JIT problem, but it failed to install properly and run. The next day I remembered it probably only runs on Internet Explorer (which we deleted in 2009) after testing out Firefox. I then also deleted Security Essentials.
I also downloaded on April 25th the free version of MS Visual Basics because I read on eHow that you can adjust settings in the 'TOOL' menu to stop JIT Debugging pop-ups. However, the free version was 'MS Visual Studio Basic 2008 Express Edition - SP1' which did NOT provide access to JIT Debugging settings (so it was not a solution).
I must say I switched Internet Security programs to AVAST! on TU | Apr26th and love it so far. Highly recommend looking into AVAST! ver 6.0 at CNET downloads - free. The anti-virus program is free, but everything else costs about $30US for a year. WORTH IT Love the options | settings | flexibility|user friendly windows.
Trend Micro was then deleted. It had always blocked usage of our internal CD|DVD drive. To use the CD|DVD drive we had to shut off Trend Micro and then turn it back on again after we finished using the CD|DVD drive. NOT a preference - for sure. Jaykay

  • After Effects CS6 won't open: "After Effects warning: An unknown Adobe Player Engine error has occurred. Scripting will be disabled."

I cleared my computer but I managed to get After Effects CS6 back by looking in Windows old on my hard drive, every time I try and open AAE I get this error message "After Effects warning: An unknown Adobe Player Engine error has occurred. Scripting will be disabled."
    What should I do?
    Thanks.

Does it launch after that error message?
What version of CS6 is it? 11.0.4? If not, try updating to it.
Why not simply reinstall from your original disk or download?

    ======================================================
after run this bat , the air file is successfully built , but when i want to install this air , it says "sorry ,an error has occured .....  bla bla installer file is damaged....bla bla "
but when i remove the red part -target native  in the command above then run it again , the new packaged air file can install successfully, but the application can not call other windows apllication anymore, nativeprocess.issupported always returns false when running
so seems like the problem is all about -target native , deos anyone know whats wrong ?
this problem really bothers me long time , any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance!

Nice! I swear I tried that URL (substituting "mac" for "win" and "MAC" for "WIN" in the one relaxatraja posted), but I guess I missed something.
Ironically, it doesn't include a binary either, but a simple alias works:
    alias pfi='java -jar /path/to/PFI/lib/pfi.jar'
And it did indeed produce an ipa without error. I don't have my hardware with me, but I'll be able to test it tonight. Meanwhile, I think I'm in business. Thank you all!

  • Every Firefox action works, but brings up a window saying "A javascript error has occurred."

for several months now, every Firefox action works but brings up an error message, "A Java script error has occurred." I cancel out the error messages (two identical error messages show up each time) and Firefox continues to work normally.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • I can not load i Tunes on my laptop  running    windows 7  I get a message that the installer has insufficient priveleges to access this directory  C:\Program Files\ i Tunes

I have tried reducing the pop up level on my browsers. No change.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Uploading my new 96pg photo book - keep getting "error has occurred" - but I don't know what the error is or how to fix it.  Please advise if you know.

I need help sending my iphoto book for printing.  When it is uploading, the bar reaches approx. 3/4 of the way, then an "error message" comes up suggesting I cancel or retry.  I've retried several times but it still won't go.  What can I do?

set the wake-on lan on the main computer
The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

  • HT1338 why am I getting "error has occurred" or "timed out" every time I try to update?

I have used different wireless connections in different locations so I don't believe it is my connection.  Running Lion 10.8.3 Any ideas?

If you mean that you can't update the OS, download and install this:
OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo)

  • Since installing OS X Lion, I get a message that Community Toolbar will not run on this setup every time I open Safari.  How do you eliminate this message?

Since installing OS X Lion, I get a message every time I open Safari that states "Community toolbar-We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar."  I am using version 5.1.  How do I get rid of this message?

Delete the app, add-on, or extension that loaded the community toolbar. Try a search for community toolbar to learn the details.

  • I can't install Bundle for MS Office into my Macbook Pro. I've bought it but once I start to install it says "An error has occurred" but it doesn't tell me what's wrong.

I've bought the Bundle however, it won't fully install. It keeps on saying "error has occurred" but it doesn't tell me what's wrong. I have a new harddrive in my computer so it's not like I don't have enough space.

The newest version I think? Idk it's the only version on the APP store. I also have the newest version of OSX that I just installed. I thought maybe because I hadn't installed the newest OSX version that it wouldn't work so I installed it and still nothing.

  • Mac app store 'an error has occured'

    Hello,
I've seen quite a lot of discussions similar to my question but I haven't found any answer yet.
Yesterday I bought 'Empire: Total War gold' on the mac app store.
I got a few errors concerning too little harddisk space but after freeing up to around 20 gb(!!) the download continued.
Now, when I try installing the game from within the app store it says 'waiting' for a few seconds and eventually I get the error
'Empire: Total War - Gold Edition failed to download.   Use the Purchases page to try again'
Next to the install button there is written 'an error has occured'
    I already tried:
    - logging out and back in
    - restarting computer
    - deleting cookies from apple store
    - turning off firewall
    Non of these worked.
Some help here would very much be appreciated.
    Kind regards

    Ok...
Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo reinstalls the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Launch the App Store and try downloading that game.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select the app you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed  then click Install.
