What if the 2 apps involved have different themes? When I do the final step (f) in his procedure, that page will have Theme X and the rest of the pages will have Theme Y. How is this handled?
Will the new page just use the templates it needs from whatever theme the app it is imported into happens to be using? Or would it bring along the templates it uses from the old application?

Raj's technique predates themes and has no connection with themes. A page has one numeric attribute that references a page template or is null.
Raj's technique never handled the case where the referenced page template didn't exist in the target application.
It's your job (see the caveat in that threat) to ensure that you don't reference non-existent shared components from the page being copied.
What if you do anyway? That isn't part of the solution that was presented but the answer is you have to repair the damage.
What you are saying, in effect, is that that technique for copying pages across apps really works best only if the 2 apps involved have the same theme, right?There are at least four cases: 1) the page template attribute is null so it will use the app's default page template which I believe is adjusted when you switch themes; 2) the page template attribute is not null and locates an existing page template which is a template in the current theme. In this case everything should work correctly; 3) the page template attribute is not null and locates an existing page template which is not a template in the current theme. In this case the referenced page template will be used at runtime, but the theme reports and/or switch theme functionality may not work as expected with respect to that page; 4) the page template attribute does not locate an existing template. I don't know what the result is in this case.
I also don't know if the template a page uses is considered to be part of a given theme based on the template's name or numeric ID.

Loading text from one app to another

If we are using text members and we want to transfer comments from one app to another.
our steps are as follows.
1) Export indicators in Essbase
2) LCM text members out of one app to import into the other.
3) load indicators in new app
4) load LCM file to new app.
The wrinkle is the following
App 2 already has the exact same member for text and there is already text in separate spots (no overlap - think 2 different versions). But what about the number system when we bring it back in.
Has anyone done this where you have to reallign the indicators in the relational database and essbase so that nothing gets crushed?
We are thinking of editing the files and create new numbers. Will that work?

ZCUBE_2 already contains data from Aug. to March
My problem is m not able to move March onwards data.
Till today my delta was working fine.But i had to delete April data. Now i want to reaload it.
Before deleting i tried to load 10 daya data all together, it reloaded successfully. Now i have to reload 48 days data, its not loading.
I also to restict period in filter option, then also no data availabe is coming.

Then you can't transfer files between apps, you'll need to use iTunes.
If you do not have the file on your computer, just connect your iPad, download the file into the computer from the original app and upload it to the other/new app.

Have you tried a reset to see if that fixes it ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

That moves only the iTunes media, not the iTunes library (which is really kinda nebulous).
iTunes library = iTunes folder and all the media, wherever it is located.
The /Music/iTunes/ folder contains the iTunes library.itl file, which keeps track of everything in iTunes.
I do however still have the original MAIN startup drive still in the computer, it's just not the startup.
This is good you still have it.
Try this...
Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the /iTunes/ folder on the original drive. It should be in /Users/your_user_name/Music/.
Don't mess with anything. We can get it cleared up.

Pass data from one VI to another one

Hi,
I try to control a event structure in a VI with a boolean command from a second VI. I have been advised to "build a connector to pass any data from one VI to another one".
Below an simple example: my goal is MyVItwo gives the result of a 2 numbers addition only when the boolean "MyBooléen" value changes in MyVIone.
How can I realise this?

It is not entirely clear what you are trying to do. I think that what you want is a main vi/subvi setup. The boolean control would be in the main vi and would be monitored by an event structure. When the value of the boolean changes the subvi would be activated. I have attached an example showing how this is done.
In order to use a vi as a subvi you build a connector box. In order to do this you just right click on the vi icon at the top right of the front panel and select show connector. You then wire connections on the connector block to controls on the front panel. You insert the subvi into your main vi by choosing "Select a vi" on the functions pallette and browsing to the subvi.
If you absolutely have to pass the data from one vi to another while running in parallel there are a number of ways to do it. Global variables will certainly work but are generally avoided by experienced LabVIEW programmers due to their potential caveats and the break in data flow. An alternative to global variables is the functional global, also called a LV2 style global. This is basically a non-reentrant subvi with an unitialized shift register which allows for data to be stored. For more information search this forum for LV2 globals.
Another alternative is to obtain a reference to the control and operate on that reference. You could also use queues, notifiers, or occurences. Search the examples which shipped with LabVIEW for examples on using these operators.

You mean screen variant, where you will need to anter the GL line items in FB50?
then you can set your desired variant as DEFAULT for all users, when it is configured.
Else thru SU10, for all of your users, add parameter ID SCRVAR and give your parameter value (screen variant name) and SAVE.

on a local network, you could define multiple aliases on the DNS server. For internet facing apps, maybe you have luck with OHS/Apache rewrite or proxy rules that modify the path (e.g. /apex1/, /apex2/, ... requests get re-written to /apex/) or by providing more DADs.

I am trying to overlay one image over another one.

First images 1) This will have complete picture like the passport picture with background
Second Image 2) This will have some specific parts(background of above) whitened
Result picture 3) This should have the passport picture with out any background just the person.
Is this possible using intermedia ??

Can't install purchased app on another mac

Attempting to mgirate from Snow Leopard to Lion. Need to install purchased applications from Mac App Store on the Lion partition. Signed in using same apple id as what I purchased the app with. According to the MAS help, you should be able to find the app in the store and click buy or free but the button shows "Installed". Also shows "Installed" in the Purchases tab. I can hide and unhide apps but can't redownload or reinstall an app I purchased.
I thought I read somewhere to hold down options key when selecting Purchases tab and that would allow you to select install but that didn't work either.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I installed Lion, it required me to enter my apple id and password which then verifies I purchased lion and am authorized to install it.
As soon as Lion (10.7.2) is done installing, I see that the mac app store shows I have updates with red badge even though I haven't signed into the store. It knows what apps I've previously installed and thinks those are installed in my clean fresh Lion installation.
There appears to be no way to redownload a purchased app that was previously installed. I can't believe I'm the first person finding this problem?!?!
I opened a case with Apple, spoke with a technician and he tried to remove file from Library but that didn't help. He had me create a test admin account and that had the problem too.
In MAS, I logged into a different apple id and it correctly showed no purchases but still showed updates available. Also showed apps installed that are not.
Apple technician asked me to reinstall Lion. I erased the partition and installed Lion again. Exact same behavior.
This is a tough one...

My computer has a very small C drive and I could not manage to install the creative cloud apps on another hardrive (D:)

Fabien you can adjust the install location with in the preference option within the Creative Cloud Desktop application. Please be aware that shared components will still need to be installed on your primary drive.

Transfer money from one account to another one

Hi all
I am using EBS 11i, and i have the following modules: General Ledger, Account Payables and Cash Management.
I have different bank accounts in the system and now we want to transfer money from one bank account to another one.
How should i do this in the system. What type of document should i register to reflect this transfer. I know that it can be done by registering a journal with a clearing account and then reconcile this journal to the cash management module.
My question is: Is possible to register in the payables module this kind of transactions. Can i solve this by registering payments in this module. On payment the supplier is mandatory, but i do not have any supplier in this case. I have a payment from a specific bank account and then a refund to the other bank account but not involving any specific supplier.
Please advice if you have any suggestions.

This is what you can do.
1) Whenever there are bank transfers, there is Cash-In in one account and Cash-Out from another account.
2) When you enter the bank statements for these bank accounts, associate the transaction type codes of Misc Receipt and Misc Payment to these statements. Setup the bank transaction codes so that when you perform AutoReconciliation, the system creates Misc Receipts in AR for these statement lines. (You associate a Receivables activity with the transaction code).
3) When you will run AutoRec, the Misc Receipt is created for the Bank account where funds are received and the Misc Receipt (with negative amount) which is equivalent to a Misc Payment is created for the Bank Account from where funds are transferred. The offset to the bank account is the clearing account in both entries which becomes zero at the end.
4) With this workaround, there is no need to setup Dummy Supplier or run any payment process in AP.
