Installing one program from CS

I will be upgrading from design premium CS3 to design premium CS5 and was wondering if it would be possible to install just illustrator from CS3 (after it's been deactivated for the current to computer) to another computer which currently has Photoshop CS5 extended.

Yes, many people run multiple versions of CS (or subsets thereof) side-by-side on one computer.
You may want to double-check the terms in the EULA just to make sure you're doing it right though:

Well I was able to obtain a work around download of Flash and it installed fine but Firefox tells me it needs updating so I go out, thinking I'm "IN" finally to update it and I get that issue of not being able to get the update for it. It's a regular laptop, not a touch screen or one of those new fangled ones for todays world. In fact it's a refurb so it's probably origin date was a year or so ago before all this MS stuff took off fully. So not understanding why I'm feeling like I'm being BLOCKED from getting the updated Flash I need and desire. If I click on the little "X" and tell it to ignore the warning the vid will play just fine but don't want to have to do that every time. Must be a better way.
Again, I'm sorry for posting in the wrong forum, getting this posted in the Flash forum was my desire but the way Adobe has this set up I just couldn't figure it out. I belong to ALLOT of forums and most are pretty straight forward but this one is confusing!

thanks for the reaction. I intend to install the software from Devolo dLAN connector which works over the power cable lines.
On the installation CD it is a autorun.exe file which should run automaticly. It doesnt.
If I double click on it, it tries to open with "Numbers". And of course this is a wrong linked program to run.
Right mouse button, choose program to open shows me other programs wich I could link to open. Which one shall I choose to run a .exe file?
Sorry for this, I am a PC user since 20 years. The MAC world is different and new for me. How can I make a print screen with the Mac to show you what I mean?

I have no problem connecting my i-phone programs to my tv through apple tv. but one program from an application from appstore don't go through apple tv. It says an error occured while loading the content.This is just for one program. All other works good.

My apple TV works fine with my I-Phone 4s. But one program from one of the application I downloaded from the app store dont work. When I load that a message comes "an error occured while loading this program" This is only for one program all other most of the time works good. Any one knows why ?

In order to use the Safari Extensions Gallery you need to upgrade to Snow Leopard v10.6

Installing a program from a CD

Rookie question. I have a G4 Power Mac Quicksilver and I'm attempting to load the Connect Utility that came with my Nikon camera from a CD. I insert the CD, I hear the CD drive run but the install icon does not pop up. Is there a method I can us to manually start the installation? I have installed a couple other programs from a CD so I know it will work with the normal install process. Thanks for any info provided.

You are correct I didn't need the program to download the pictures. The CD indicates Windows/Macintosh but, it must be for a Mac in theory only. The CD icon does not appear anywhere that I can find. I've checked in all the Finder folders and contents without finding it. Is there a way to direct where the CD icon will appear? Thanks for the help!

I have for example 5 programs and I would like to create one program in which i could switch between this 5 programs. One of these should be running all the time and the others should start when i will switch to them. I need solution or something like that.

You can do a search on "dynamically called" sub vi's.
See the tiny example below of how to call it. You can actually call multiple VI's and they will run in parallel, although you have to be careful when doing this.
You would have to wire False to "Wait till done"
You can stop/close the VI using property node. If you wired False to "Auto Dispose Ref", then make sure you do close ALL references before exiting your program.

Can't selectively install one app from fcs2

Why can't I just reinstall Motion? I've deleted the app & the .pkg files. All the other apps are selected & greyed out when I try to just install Motion. The message I get states that there is an older version of FCS (or whatever) installed...it is actually a newer version. Is it possible to just install one app under these conditions?

Ahhh! Got it. I must log in as Admin and run Pacifist on the FCS Install disk. I found the Motion app there & it would let me install it as Admin. Just entering the admin password in my user account didn't work.

In my class, I need to install Virtual lab through Ahima.org (https://cernaes.cernerworks.com/AHIMA/auth/login.aspx ). While installing, I get an error stating ...
"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins. This installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator."
I am the administrator. This is a new laptop with Windows 8. I can install this program on Vista but not Windows 8.

I have a similar situation but the menu item "Run As Administrator" is not offered in Windows 8 for the *.msi item I am trying to install as it is for any *.exe file.
Also I have looked and there is no directory called "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\Plugins\resources" which is the location it says it cannot access due to lack of privilege.

Can I install just one program from CS4 onto my laptop?

I want the whole cs4 suite on my editing desktop, but i only need Photoshop on my laptop. is this possible

Sure. Just do a custom install by deselecting everything you don't want. Note that there are some required components such as Bridge that will be installed, too.
