Installing Opatch tool

Please can some one lead me in the following text, on how to install oracle tool OPATCH?
My question : After reading the below text, I download the zip file of the OPATCH tool, I unzip the file under oracle home. When unzipping the file, it created another directory under orache home.
But how can I do next to upgrate my oracle OPATCH from the unzipped file resulted?

Patch Details
Patch summary:
README file for OPatch(10.2.0.1.4), the Oracle Interim Patching Tool.
This patch installs the "OPatch" utility. OPatch is used for patching
Oracle software. If you have an older version of opatch it is strongly
recommended to back it up.
OPatch is Oracle's only supported method of installing Interim
patches. It updates the central and per-product inventories with the
details of the patch.
How to install the utility:
To install this patch simply extract the file p4898608_10203_GENERIC.zip
using unzip or winzip, depending upon the platform. You should extract
the zip file directly under the ORACLE_HOME.

which oracle version are you using?
opatch should be installed automatically by the oracle runinstaller...you may have to patch it...you then have to apply the path to the opatch directory + install perl v.5.8
for example (AIX and Oracle 10.2):
edit the corresponding .dbenv-file (on unix user ora<sid>, on windows user <sid>adm) by appending the line:
> set path = ( $path $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch ) #for c-shell
or:
> PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/OPatch; export PATH #for standard shell
exit and login again to make the changes effective...then use the opatch tool in the following way:
test version:
> opatch version
check for patches applied:
> opatch lsinventory
apply interim patches:
> opatch apply <opatch number/directory> -force -silent

Install glassfish tools in Luna M7

Hi all
I installed the latest eclipse Luna milestone and tried to install glassfish tools for eclipse but it failed due to a "missing dependency"

Apparently the issue is that Luna comes with ant 1.9.2
Any workarounds ? Any plans for an update ?

You are referencing Kepler repository when installing into Luna. You need to use the following URL instead:
http://download.oracle.com/otn_software/oepe/luna/

Logic 7.1.0 Won't open after installing Pro Tools 6.9.2

i just installed Pro Tools 6.9.2 and now Logic won't open at all. i get an 'send error report" window. I'm using a G5 dual 2.0, OS10.4.2, 002r, Logic 7.1.0 and Pro Tools 6.9.2. Is the Pro tools version i'm using not compatible with Logic. i can't even get into logic to change settings.
I was warned about digi hardware but i went with it anyway. Please help. Thank you.

How to install vmware tools in cucm on Vmware Player

I'm running CUCM 8.0.1 and Unity Connection 8.0.1 on VMWare Player. I need to install the VMWare Tools. I'm using the COP file from the CCO (ciscocm.vmtoolsUpgrade4.1-8.3.2-257589-v14.cop.sgn). However, it's not loading. I Clicked Install VMWare Tools from Player so the CDRom is mounted and has the COP file in it, but I can't seem to get the path. The connection is use physical device /dev/cdrom and I have a burned COP file in the dvd drive. I keep getting "The directory could not be located."
I have NTP enabled and "the NTP Service is accessible"
I tried the Remote File System but keep getting the error: "An unknown error occurred while accessing the upgrade file." I tried different files, e.g. locale file, but get the same error. Is there something else I need to do on the VM? The Host machine is Ubuntu 12.04 32 bit.
Is there a document on this? VMWare Player is ver 6.0. The VMs were built in VMWare server 2.0 a while back.

Thanks for the link. It is for vSphere and I'm using Player so Step 2 is a little different. I choose Virtual Machine>Upgrade VMWare Tools. The settings are set to "use ISO file" and the path is to the linux.iso file.
When I run the 'utils vmtools upgrade' command, it says: "Executed command unsuccessfully, no valid command entered"
Any other procedures to try?

First terminology:
patch - fix for some bug
patchset - collection of patches (many).
Opatch utility is only for applying patches not for patchests.
Btw specify OS for future.

What ways are conceivable to install AIE-Tools?

out of my blog How to get your colleagues into ABAP in Eclipse it started a discussion why the installing of AIE-Tools is a lot of work.
Can it be done in an easier way?
In my opinion there are two ways:
First way is to have it, as delivered right now.
In my opinion it is a good way, for sure, not that easy if you do it the first time, but it is ok (my personal view)
Second way: Get a "All-in-One" Package delivered.
One download with a installer included, Start it -- be happy.
What ways are conveivable to install AIE-Tools, what do you think would be good (or the best) way to get the AIE-Tools installed?
A colleague and me just tried today, if it is a possible scenario to create a "out of the box" scenario. It is possible, so that means in bigger companies there is a scenario, that one goes through the installing-process and create the "Initial-version".
This advantage is just possible for the AIE Tool and not for the HANA-Studio. Maybe this is a good way to onboard others fast and easy.

This is my result:
From your error code, it seems this is relate to your windows update, please use following command to fix corrupted files:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
In the meantime, you can delete temporary update files in the SoftwareDistribution folder:
Stop Windows Update service.
Open File Explorer.
Double-click the local hard disk where Windows is installed, typically drive C.
Double-click the Windows folder, and then double-click the
SoftwareDistribution folder.
Double-click the DataStore folder to open it, and then delete all files and folders in the folder.
Note If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the Back button. In the SoftwareDistribution folder, double-click the
Download folder to open it, and then delete all files in the folder.
Restart Windows Update service.

I own Lumia 930 with Denim and I tried to install Phone Tools Update Pack so I would be able to monitor my device but unfortunately I cannot. When I am trying to install I am receiving error 0x80070057 - Unable to scan for packages from the update server. In
another topic there were hint to check date and time, I checked mine it's ok, on default I have set for automatically but I even tried with manual settings - no solution. I am using Visual Studio 2013 with SP 4 Community Edition. I tried do this on both my

Work offline enabled. Also, you cannot connect through a proxy server that redirects to a login page; for example, in a hotel or an airport.
Is the phone turned on and the screen unlocked?

If the above information still can not help, please try to restart your phone and computer to see if it works.

Garageband Not Responding after Installing Pro Tools 8 LE

So, after having installed Pro Tools 8 LE, I want to use GarageBand, and after clicking the icon, it keeps bouncing. The program does not open and on the Activity Monitor it shows and "Not responding". Any ideas? Thanks! I'm running Mac Os X 10.7.5

este driver es el que crea conflictos entre Garageband,Logic y Protools, hoy lo he echo y todos mis programas van de maravilla...Protools 8.0.5, Logic 9.0.5 Garageband etc...Espero se de gran ayuda ya que estuve por muchos foros y nunca encontre la respuesta,pero mis pocos conocimientos de audio me hiceron llegar a esta conclucion....saludos y Feliz Dia De Gracias......

Why won't garageband open after installing pro tools?

I have recently installed pro tools 8.0 which worked at first and now will not at all. Also garageband will not open either, it opens when I change users but I cannot access my files this way.
I have read all the other threads on deleting various things from the LIBRARY> Audio>Plug ins folders but had no luck at all.
Someone else must have had this problem that can help, please!

What is your Mac OS X version? If you are using Mac OS X 10.7.x, you may have a problem with the Audio Drivers that may need updating, see: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=307155

I have attempted to install the exchange 2013 management tools on my 8.1 machine (which also contains the 2007 mngmt tools)
and I get the error "Exchange Server 2013 can't be installed on a server that has an Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010 server role installed. For more information, visit:http:// technet.microsoft.com/library(EXCHG.150)/ms.exch.setupreadiness.Exchange2013AnyOnExchange2007Server.aspx".
Has anyone been able to install mngmt tools side by side...????
As I will be out of office for a period during coexistence and coexistence could be awhile...I would like to have the admin tools (for both) on my machine.

In addition to Mike's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Windows 8.1 is supported only with Exchange 2013 SP1 or later version. It is not supported to install Exchange 2007 management tools on Windows 8.1.
