Installing PCUI

Hey !
I am using Portal 7.0 together with CRM 5.0.
I want to install the BP for CRM 5.0, but do I also have to install the Productivity Pack for CRM? Im only interest of working with the Sale and Service Area.
I have tried to just install the BP for CRM (PCUI), but then all the iviews returned the error message: Unable to parse template '<PSID.CRMUnique>'. For some reason, all the iviews had the parameter <PSID.CRMUnique> in the iviews.
After importing the Productivity Pack, all the iviews was overwritten, and they worked. But I see in the ducumentation that this BP is for CRM 4.0. I cant find it for 5.0.
Please help me out, cause i really want to get on with the configuration.
I have the role Default CRM Service, the Backendsystem works (Correct System Alias), and SSO is provided.
one more question.. Should i use the v02 roles like com.sap.pct.crm.v02.servicemanager or the com.sap.pct.crm.servicemanager ?

    If you have seperate BI server also alongwith the CRM system as back end.Then IU can create two seperate iviews of the two fact sheets hitting different servers e.g.if this is telecom perspective then In one pcui screen you can give two iviews one will fetch data from CRM server and populate 360 degree view of the customer whereas the BI iview will have multiple line level display of the last bills generated which we can see in detail also by hitting the same iview.

  • PCUI Installed base -- measuring point exception

    Hi,
    Application: COMM_IBASE ( installed base)
    Path:
    Search for installed base > Select one Installed base> In the tree select one of the attached individual object
    Now Measuring points tab displays.
    Select Measuring point tab -
    > In the drop down select  Measuring point - Ind. Object
    Gives error message
    500 SAP Internal Server Error
    Error message: Basic Customizing in table COMC_IL_UI for structure CRMT_BSP_IL_IOBMP_S_FCAT is missing ( type of termination: ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE )
    Please help me to resolve the same.

  • PCUI CRM Portal Performance Issues

    Hi Folks,
    We are using the PCUI CRM Portal. we done the Customized tab, like Product, Customer and Trade Contract Planner.
    All most all we are used Standard BSP Application, CRM_BSP_Frame. and all class and method also copy from Standard Class, and we add the small code for only one event: Query event.
    Issues are..
    Portal logon is woking fine, and when ever user client the Trade Contract Planner, Its taking much time to load. Other tabs are load very fast.
    Any one please guide me.. How it will work fine.

  • Create Activity from a Lead on PCUI

    Hi everybody,
    I am having a problem, I don't know if anybody has had this before. I am trying to create an Activity from the lead screen on PCUI by using the Standard create activity button, but when I click on it instead of trying to open a popup accessing the portal and one of the roles in it, it tries to open a popup calling the CRM WAS but it sends the portal role and i-view information. Of course with this instead of getting the activity I-view open I am getting a BSP Error from the PCUI BSP application.
    I am not sure why is this happening I am using the standard i-views.
    The exact error I am getting is as follows:
    Business Server Page (BSP) Error
    What happened?
    Call of BSP page terminated due to error.
    Note
    Following error text processed in system:

    The CRM Context Service is already installed, but I don't know if maybe something on it was not installed right and I don't know how I could check it.

  • PCUI - CRM

    In the marketing Planner application in the PCUI, when i click the export button, it saves by default in CSV format, without prompting for template to be selected.
    Before prompting to save in CSV format, it pop-ups message "Install Microsoft Office 2003 or higher version"
    later, I installed the required Microsoft office 2003 version, still the message is pop-up before saving in the CSV format by default.
    Whether any extra component needs to be installed on my pc ?

    Can you specify your enviroment in a little bit more detail? What exact version of CRM / Service Pack are you running? Have you applied the latest version of Marketing Planer form Service Marketplace?

  • How the PCUI event for export button works?

    Hi All,
    After get the order search result in PCUI, when I click the Export button.
    It show me the message that : Microsoft office 2003 or higher is not installed on your computer.
    In fact, I have the office 2003. And I found that the event for Export button is PCF_DL_EXPORT.

    Have you tried double-clicking on the auto complete component in the designer? You should be taken to a method like "autocomplete1_complete". This method is called when the autocomplete gets focus and also for each character typed in the field.

  • Downloading BP for ESS and PCUI

    Dear All,
    Has the file name changed on the Market place to download the packages .sca for ESS/MSS and PCUI.
    Previously the file for ESS were ESS and its patch was BPERP.. like...
    But now the file name has the only difference of P in it and the size is almost the same???
    Can somebody tell me the exact order to deploy the ESS??

    Is this the right one?

    Gents,
    a small question concercing the PCUI.
    If I understand correctly, one needs to install the "business productivity pack (60.1)" to access the PCUI application from the portal.
    Is this installation limited to the EP-system, or do we need to install the BSP application on the CRM SERVER seperately as well? I've been searching for the applications on our CRM 4.0 SP9 installation (under BSP application CRM_BSP_FRAME), but can't seem to find them.

    Hi Michael,
    usually you can start all applications if you go to BSP application CRM_BSP_FRAME and navigate to "Pages with Flow Logic". Open "select_old.htm" and execute it. It should start a browser window, with a list of all available PCUI applications.
    If this doesn't work check transaction SICF if the bsp application "sap\bc\bsp\sap\crm_bsp_frame" is there and configured right. More I don't know you either...

  • Make CRM PCUI avaliable over internet

    Hi all,
    We have recently exposed our EP at internet using a reverse proxy.
    We also have a CRM server and we have installed CRM PCUI on our EP and it works fine in every browser in our intranet. however, a browser outside our intranet is unable to display any CRM (PCUI) content. The browser displays the 'can not find page' error.
    My question is, do we need to expose the crm server to internet? that is, the communication to CRM trough EP takes place between portal server and crm server or directly between client's browser and CRM server ?
    Any help will be appreciated - rewarded.

    Try to the install guides and cookbooks like GAB says.
    You can start in the Portal, by creating a CRM System with Connection and WAS properties pointing to the CRM system.
    Then download the BP for CRM and deploy it on the Portal by using the SDM.
    When this two things are accomplish, you can start configure it folling the guides.
    The main configuration is done in the transaction crmc_blueprint and crmc_blueprint_c

    We want to use the PCUI.
    - What exactly do we have to do to activate PCUI?
    - Are there any more components or installations needed?
    - How can we find the URL of the homepage?

    We are using a standard business package PCUI in portal.
    is their a option where in the user can enter data in offline mode and then later synchronize with server when he connects.
    If yes what are the different components we need to consider and install.

    Hi,
    I don't think it is possible to work with PCUI interface while you are offline.
    If you want to work offline you will have to implement CRM Mobile solution wherein you can work while offline and save. When you connect to the CRM system the data replication is automatically done in that case.

       I installed business package for crm and i am planning to develop some new iviews. Rightnow I am confused to decide on whether to develop the iviews in java or in PCUI/BSP?
    could some one please let me know what is the criteria to decide which one should i use?
    For ex: why did SAP choose com.sap.pct.crm.mkt.Calendar (Marketing calendar) iview to be developed in java, why not use pcui/bsp as used for most of other iViews in the business package?
    Please help me in this regard.

    Hi Hendrik,
    BSP application will be little harder to migrate to different platforms like Web App Server for Java...etc and look & feel is not considered as the greatest.  Where as Java iViews are portable, extendable, migratable and look & feel is quite good.  Last but not least, I believe that Java iViews go well with Enterprise Portal rather than BSP.
    You can choose between Java or BSP based on the resources you have to develop apps and your need i.e. the goal of the application.
    I am sorry to say that I dont know the answer for your last question.  Below you will find some links which might be useful for deciding between Java and BSP.
