Hi, after installing Adobe CC I tried opening Adobe Photoshop. This failed.
I get the opening window where it says installing plugins searching etc, after which PS opens in full screen.
Just moments after that there's a failure warning, no code number, only the warning that PS failed to open and PS will close.
I tried downloading it for a second time, but this did'nt solve the problem.
Befor the CC version I used a one year student version of Adobe CS6.
    What can I do?

I tried several times to install Photoshop Elements 11 on my new Macbook Pro (10.8.3) but the installer failed to initialize and the Support Advisor inspection could not identify any issue. I went today to the Apple Store to get help and the Genius guy couldn't resolve the problem either. He told me to contact Adobe Support and he gave me an Adobe token number.

  • When ever i try to install photoshop cc on my laptop i keep getting this error "We've encountered the following issues  installer failed to initialize. Please download adobe support advisor to detect the problem."

when ever i try to install photoshop cc on my laptop i keep getting this error "We've encountered the following issues  installer failed to initialize. Please download adobe support advisor to detect the problem."

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
    if cc (win):  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
    if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
    to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
    mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

  • Photoshop CS 6 Fails to install

Hi, I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 trial on a Alienware MX17 Windows 7 64bit laptop, and it fails everytime. My videoo drivers are the latest it's possible to get, I also have all the latest windows updates installed. It goes through to the "Currently Installing Adobe Fonts Recommended x64" and hangs there. It does not quit, the minutes remaining just keeps getting longer and longer. I left it running overnight once just in case is was very slow for some reason, the next morning when I checked it, it was in the same place, same percentage and the time remaining was several weeks. I've tried using the Installer, I've manually downloaded it. Neither work. I've tried with and without Administer rights. The Adobe Support Assistant does give me the "The computer wants to reboot" error a few times, but there was never a "inprogress" entry in the registry as suggested by http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html Here is a link to my latest log file. This is a brand new laptop, the only Adobe products installed are acrobat and reader.
    Link to log file https://www.dropbox.com/s/i5mgi6set61yqkd/Adobe%20Photoshop%20CS6%2013.0%2005-17-2012.log

Well, I did the Akamai first, I've redownloded it 3 times that way to see if maybe it became corrupt during the download. Fails at the same place. Then I manually downloaded the Photoshop install software and ran it manually, same thing, fails on the fonts bit. Can you see anything in the log file that would indicate what could be wrong? I don't know what is a valid error and what is due to my problem. I did not try it with a different browser, since I did a manual download.

  • Installing Photoshop elements 9, update to 9.0.3 fails

    I am new to this.
I bought a scanner that includes the adobe photoshop elements 9 and the silverfast se software.
once i installed photoshop, it tells me to update and the update fails with:
      Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later.
I am supposted to be able to launch the silverfast software via the import, but I don't have an option and i thought maybe the update would fix it but neither item is working.
    Any ideas????

I had pretty much the same error code, but a different font was named. Between the suggestion from Manish_1988 and the page linked by Vikrant Ral, I finally got my installation to work. Here's what I did:
    1. Open a Terminal window and "cd /Library/Fonts"
    2. Remove all of the fonts in the family that the error message is complaining about. In my case, the offending font in the error message was ACaslonPro-Regular.otf. I created a new subdir under /Library/Fonts, then moved all of the ACaslonPro* files to the new subdir. Commands were:
         sudo mkdir old_fonts
         sudo mv ACaslonPro* old_fonts
    3. Ran the installation again and it completed without errors.
I think I was doing all of this in Safe Mode (based on the advice from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/errors-exit-code-6-exit.html), but I'm not sure that was necessary. I did previously have Photoshop Elements 6 on this machine, which I believe is what put those fonts there in the first place.
Also, before I moved the fonts, I had a font called ACaslonPro-Semibold.otf.incompleteMigration, whose size was 0 bytes. Maybe this file was causing the problem, but I don't know. I think this file may have resulted from an error a couple years ago when I migrated an old MacBook to a new machine.
    Hope this helps

I don't know who you talked to, but some of the support techs tend to look at CS5 as "no longer sold or supported" and usually don't want to mess with it.
We are mostly user-volunteers and have time to help you out. Some of us get perks from Adobe, but we are not employees.
I actually gave you the links to the two very important CS5 updates, but you want to peruse this general list Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
and get the Bridge CS5 updates as well. Adobe - Bridge : For Windows
