Installing Photoshop and Premier Elements 12

I just purchased the CD-ROM for Photoshop and Premier Elements 12. I already have Elements 8 installed. Question do I do an uninstall of 8 and than do a fresh install of 12?
If I do the uninstall are there any remnants of files that might not uninstall when going to control panel and uninstall and if so where might they reside?

you can deactivate (help>deactivate) and uninstall pse 8 if you no longer need it and you can do that before or after you install pse 12. or you can leave it installed and use both versions.

Let us go through the usual drill on this...Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8.1 (assumed 64 bit)
1. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges? Go to Local Disk C/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Elements 13, find the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file, right click it, select and apply Run As Administrator from the pop up menu that appears, and then double click that file to determine if you can open the program from it.
2. Does the problem issue exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
3. Are you working with a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
4. How many video cards/graphics cards do you find under Device Manager/Display Adapters, what card name, driver date and up to date version number?
When you say it will not run...how far into the program do you get...
a. no further than the Welcome Screen and Video/New Project
b. other
If non of the above gets us anywhere, we may go for
a. deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and, if necessary, the whole 13.0 Folder in which it exists
and, if necessary, then
b. the uninstall, free ccleaner run through, and reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
Details to follow if needed.
We will be watching for your results and then decide what next.

It's a 64 bit and this is the message I keep getting when I try to install:
*This installer does not support installation on a 64-bit windows operating

64”. If you are not installing from the disks please download the 64-bit
version of Premiere Elements 12.*
The Adobe folder on my computer has downloads for both 32 bit and 64 bit,
both of which I tried...any suggestions?

Or, how many of your computers can have a same purchased activated serial number at the same time for either of these products?
If the former, I know of no limit.

How do I get past error400 in photoshop and premier elements?

I installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Premier Elements 8 on a Vista PC several years ago, buit hadn't usedd them. Recently, I bought a photo/slide/film scanner tihiat came with Pihotoshop Elements 10 and installed it on a Windows 7 Laptop. I tried to use them now that I am starting to scan, but I get error 400. Ian't find out what to do about that. Issomeone able to help me?

Is there any "simple" documentation on the steps to download and install Photoshop and Premiere Elements V13? The downloads seems to work but there's nothing clear on what do you do next.

I've been messing with computers since 1958 and I've never seen such a mess as trying to download and install the recently purchased copies of Photoshop and Premiere Elements Version 13. Slow downloads? Sure, but I can live with that. But once downloaded, what next? Look for a xxx.exe file somewhere in the pile? Read the "ReadMe" file? All I seem to get is unzipping some files with nothing leading me into the proper steps. I can't even seem to get off the ground. Everything I touch unzips and just lies there. I hate to think I've gone dumb after all of these years, but "user friendly" this is not. My "Your order confirmation" sheet gives me "Follow the instructions below to start using it today" and the first three steps work as you'd expect. Step 4 states "After you have completed the download process, your serial number will be displayed in the download center." Step 5 is "You can log back into 'Adobe Account Management' in the future to re-download your product or retrieve your serial number. ...." I have no problem with my serial number but there seems to be a lot missing between Steps 4 and 5. It would be nice to have this information as pretty standard "stuff. Computers are supposed to do super stuff without a lot of time-consuming problems with a simple process like installing the software. I'm feeling a bit hostile about this but it is a time-consuming, frustrating process.

Why are photoshop and premier elements so laggy?

I have an i7 3770 comp running Windows 8 with 32gb RAM and a 128gb SSD + 2tb hard drive. I run plenty of other intesive programs without any problems, but for some reason both premier elements and photoshop elements run stupidly slowly. What's up with this?

First, check to see if the auto analyzer is running. (Organizer>preferences>media analysis) See if shutting it down makes any difference. Also, if you've imported a huge number of photos (like in the thousands), PSE will run slow till organizer is done generating thumbnails. Sometimes it helps to let it run overnight to finish up.

I purchased Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 in July this year. I have since had problems with my computer and have had to do a factory restore. Now I seem unable to find a download for my products. When I log into Adobe it shows that I have them in my products list.

a. going to Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com
b. signing in with Adobe ID and Password
c. Typing "My Orders" in the Search field
d. Following the My Orders link to your specific version 12 order
e. At the My Orders, your specific order, location there should be the opportunity to download new installation files
Best to have antivirus and firewall(s) disabled when you do the download and install.

Hi, I have problems reibstalling my photoshop and premiere. The serial numbers work. It starts to upload properly. Then when its almost finished an install wizard error message flashes up.

Do you know if there is a basic reference somewhere on adobe for performing tasks on both pieces of software? Thanks to you I know how to replace the teeth whitening function, but what about for instance the "slimming" tool, or the eye lash darkening tool etc? I know I can google each tool I am sure. But is there a single "bible" like reference for the various commands or tool functions shared between the two? Are there any books you recommend etc?

Can't install Photoshop and Premiere Elements 10 on an iMac

Hi, failing miserably to sort this out. I had downloaded trial versions of both products previously but these became time expired. I purchased the disks from a vendor but on trying to install get an initialisation error. I downloaded the support advisor and it reported ''cpsid_83572r4: Error committing command when installing - Creative Suite 5.5.''.
I believe I've removed all elements of the previous install(s) but not according to the errors when trying to install version 10.

I tried creating a new admin account and they installed ok. Still won't install under my usual admin account which had the trial installs on. Still stumped!

I'm assuming it's an issue to do with the fact that there must be some remnants of the old trial installations but can't find any other Adobe files that might be still there. It still won't get past the ''installer failed to initialize'' stage. I'm IT literate on Windows but fairly new to OSX so this is doing my 'head in'. Never known something so easy prove so difficult!!!
I don't really want to go about creating new accounts just because of this issue. Can you explain what you mean by a permissions issue? Reader X installed fine from the DVD. It's just PSE10 and PPE10 that seem to fail.
Sorry if it's a dumb question.
