Installing PhotoShop CC stuck on 0%

I try to install PhotoShop CC in Creative Cloud but my progress gets stuck on 0%.

Nobody can even begibn to guess without system information. And the download/ install not even starting points to security issues or an external process blocking things.

  • Problems installing Photoshop CS4, keeps getting stuck on "installing Adobe Air." Tips?

I'm trying to install Photoshop CS4, but it keeps getting stuck on "installing Adobe Air" every time. Freezes, makes no more progress, eventually I have to force quit. I've even downloaded and installed it (Air) separately, but it keeps getting stuck on it in the CS4 install. Any tips? I'm running 10.8.5 on a MacBook Air. Saw something about deleting Adobe FlashPlayer to maybe fix it? Any and all tips welcome. Thx.

Googling only comes up with a couple things where someone was trying to
install a cracked version they downloaded, so it could be a corruption
    problem.
If this is a downloaded installer, then redownload it and try installing,
    again.
If you are inserting a DVD and autoplay is starting up and you get this
message, you can shut down the installer process as you've done then instead
of double-clicking the DVD, use right-click Explore to view the files
directly on the DVD without running AutoPlay, then find the setup.exe or
something.MSI with EN in it's name to run the installer, directly, without
goint through autoplay.  This would only make a difference if the autoplay
is corrupted somehow but everything else is ok.  Since your error message
talks about autoplay then maybe that is the case.
If you are calling Adobe for support, it can take hours, depending on when
    you call.
This "open letter to Adobe customers" was posted within the last few days
and basically apologizes for poor support, recently, while they change from
    support-provider to another:

I just downloaded and installed Photoshop cc and the Camera Raw version is not the latest one available,so now I can no longer open files from my Nikon D750!  Can I update ACR?
I have been using the new version of ACR with PS6 and have been able to open the D750 files, now I'm stuck.
    Thanks,
    Greg E

You were probably using the Release Candidate version of camera raw 8.7, which one gets from Adobe Labs.

  • Invalid signature when trying to install Photoshop CC extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC and default installed Photoshop CC extensions won't load

I have a Creative Cloud subscription for Photoshop CC. All Creative Clouds products are updated to the latest versions. When I tried to install Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3 Photoshop extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC on my PC desktop, I received an error message that the extension contained an invalid signature and wouldn't be installed. I had previously installed the extension on my laptop without any problems. At the same time, I also noticed the default installed Photoshop CC extensions (e.g., Adobe Exchange, Kuler, Mini Bridge, Behance) could not be loaded using the Windows/Extension command. I receive an error message that the command could not be completed because the extension could not be loaded. After contacting Tony Kuyper, he suggested that I try the steps mentioned in the following weblink: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6029768. The steps basically consist of uninstalling and reinstalling all the Creative Cloud apps associated with Photoshop CC. I tried the steps multiple times, but I am still having the same problems. I can find the default installed Photoshop CC extensions on my machine, so I don't know why they can't be loaded.
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Mark Curtis

    Hi Mark
You say everything is up to date?  And you have tried reinstalling all the CC apps?  Is Windows also fully up to date?  Hmmm...  That could be tricky.
What version of Windows are you using?  Have a look in Task Manager > Processes and see if 'CEPServiceManager.exe *32' is listed as running?
If not, I don't know where it would be installed from, and we'd need someone like Chris Cox to join the thread to tell us, but my guess is that it would install along with the CC Desktop Application Manager.  Windows 8.1 can be problematic, and a bit fussy about the order of things, and it is definitely worth adopting best practice when installing your CC apps.  That means restarting your computer, and right clicking the Desktop Application manager and running as Administrator.
How many CC apps are you running?  If just Photoshop, Bridge, Expansion manager etc. then - and I hate to say this - perhaps have another go at reinstalling, but run the Cleaning tool after uninstalling.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Try some other Extensions before the Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3.  GuideGuide is a favourite of mine, as well as Dmonzon tools, and maybe Russell Brown's Flypaper Textures.
I have to say that I have had problems with the CC Extension Manager a while back, but simply reinstalling just the Extension Manager fixed it.  Perhaps CEPServiceManager.exe *32 installs with Extension Manager?  Heck, maybe start with just trying that before reinstalling all your CC apps.
If you are still stuck, I'd risk sending Chris Cox a PM, but not until you triple check that your video card driver is up to date from the card maker's website.
Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you get on.

  • Cannot install Photoshop CS2 on Intel Mac 10.4.6 or 10.4.7

    Hey,
I have just tried to install Photoshop CS2 on an Itel MacBook Pro but it gets stuck while installing "Shared Packages" of "Adobe Help Center".
    Any idea out there?
    Thanks

Please don't say that CS2 doesn't work under Rosetta, when it does. There are performance issues, and for those who use CS2 for large, system intensive purposes have good reason to not want to upgrade to Intel, but that doesn't mean CS2 won't work.
I haven't experienced the install problem personally, but googling "cs2""intel""mac" yields this article:
    http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060524084530919
To summarize, it may be an issue with either Quicktime 7.1 or Adobe Version Cue.
    Good luck.

  • Photoshop CC stuck at "Waiting-" on Mac unless using default user account

    Hello,
I consistently have this problem installing Photoshop CC 2014 and any of its updates from the Creative Cloud: the file downloads normally, then gets stuck in "Waiting…" indefinitely. Restarting the computer, restarting the Creative Cloud app, etc have no effect – always the same result. With some effort I managed to solve this issue by logging using the first-created user account (uid 501) on my Mac. This account can complete the installation without a problem. However, since it is not the account I normally use, it is extremely inconvenient, and smells like a bug in the installation process.
This has happened to me consistently for as long as I've been a Creative Cloud member (a year now), but I haven't posted about it earlier since I thought it might be something to do with how my computer was set up. But I recently got a new Mac and the same problem appeared again even though the computer was just installed from scratch. Again: the first user account created on the Mac can install Photoshop CC without problems, but if a new local user account is created on the same computer (even if Creative Cloud has not been previously installed on a different account) that account is unable to install Photoshop CC.
Now, the installer does ask for an administrator password, but installation still fails even if I give the user id and password of the first account. Similarly if the second account has admin privileges and I give its password, installation still fails, i.e., the only way to install successfully is to log in as the first user account.

I've got kind of a same problem. Photoshop CC 2014 update stuck at Waiting.. forever.
just tried and here's the log:

  • How to Install Photoshop CC on a Drive Other than C:

I have purchase and installed Photoshop CC on one of my computers. I'm now ready to install it on the second one. But this Win 7 PC is running short of space on its C: drive. I want to install the files onto its D: drive. But the installer does not allow me the choice to do that.
Is there a way to do it?
    Thank you.

Don you can find additional details at http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.
In addition once you access the preferences you will want to click on the App tab.  You will then want to click Choose to adjust the install location.

I have to install Photoshop CS4 extended on a new computer from a disk because my old computer had a hard drive crash.  There is no serial number on the back of the case.  How can I obtain a usable serial number?

    Find your serial number quickly
You can activate software without following up and registering it... at least that was the case in the past.  The serial number is normally located on the disc case or a box inside the main box.  If you did not purchase the disc from Adobe then it is possible you would have dealt with a redemption code, in which case it would have been up to you to keep a record of the serial number, especially if you did not follow up and register the software.

  • How do I install photoshop on the E: disk? (Or any other location on my laptop?)

I installed Photoshop, and it automatically installed on the C: disk (Windows 7). The C: disk has only 11 Gb left, and I think that's the reason that I get warnings about a full scratch disk.
So I rather install Photoshop on E:. So I reinstalled everything, but I could not change the install location. So again, it's on C:....

In the CC desktop app click the little Gear icon in the upper right hand corner and select Preferences. Click the Creative Cloud entry at the top and then the second entry down is Install Location. But that will change the install location for all future UpGrades (Not UpDates) to all Adobe CC programs.
This setting can be changed at any time. So before you install a NEW (UpGrade) CC app you can change it to any drive and folder you choose.

  • How to install Photoshop (already owned and NOT CC) on new computer without CD drive?????

First off, I am going to say that I think it is ridiculous that you can get NO phone support from adobe if you aren't a CC member???? So existing CS6 and LR5 users have to just use the forum?? Honestly, that is the worst customer service possible. I don't need to upgrade to CC because I already bought the programs before CC even came out!
I just got a new computer and it has no CD drive, so I have no way to install photoshop via the disk that I have. Do I just need to get a disk drive because there is no CS6 download? I just need to download it so I can put in my serial number which I have on my box.

LindseyEP you can download the installation files for Creative Suite 6 at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html.
Chat support is still available for Creative Suite 6.  You can contact our chat support at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html.

My Windows XP laptop quit.  New laptop is Windows 7 64 bit machine.  When I install Photoshop CD and select Install Photoshop 5, nothing happens.  I found this link: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5162

    a. enable file extensions to be visible:
To show file name extensions in Windows Explorer, follow these steps:
For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008
Start Windows Explorer, you can do this by opening up any folder.
    Click Organize.
    Click Folder and search options.
    Click the View tab.
Scroll down until you notice Hide extensions for known file types, un-check this line by clicking the check box.
Note To hide file name extensions, check this line.
    Click OK
    b. open the photoshop directory/folder and attach a screenshot of its contents.
    c. open autorun (setup info) in notepad and copy and paste its contents here.

    Hi,
I kepe getting an error message when trying to install Photoshop elements 12. I have re-downloaded the files multiple times from different places and none work so I know it isn't a corrupted file. Tried a system restart. Tried using support advisor but it found no issues.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9 on a 2012 Macbook Pro that meets system requirements.
    Any help is greatly appreciated

I have gone through the install logs and the error I am getting is 'PIM - Error could not create PIM Common Folder Path'. I have gone to the PDApp folder and it does not have any permissions on it. I have gone to the folder PDApp and it doesn't have any permissions, I'm not sure what to do from here. The PDApp folder is a alias that leads to the Adobe Application Managers folder. Sorry for the font being bold, it wouldn't turn off after pasting the error message.
