Installing Photoshop CS6 Extended

I recently purchased Photoshop CS6 Extended from Best Buy, but I can't seem to install it to my MacBook Pro. I've never had any kind of Photoshop trial on this computer so that's not part of the issue. When I put the disc in the computer it makes the sounds like it's reading it, but then it does nothing. No messages pop up at all, it's like there's no disc in my computer. This is the first disc I've ever had in the computer and the computer is pretty new, so I don't think my cd-thingy is broken.
In short..
I put the disc in, nothing happens.
Need to use photoshop tonight for an assignment so help ASAP would be appreciated!

If nothing happens could be multiple reasons. Did we try to use the same disk on a differnt computer. ? just to check if its woking there!
However you can also download the trial version of photoshop cs6 and then enter the serial number which you got at the time of purchase , if its urgent to use the application.

Hello to whoever is reading this - I have a problem installing Photoshop CS6 Extended (as you can guess from the title) due to the fact that I download a pre release version of it (not the beta) And I've looked everywhere on my laptop and I still can't install the trial even though I've deleted everything relevant to the pre release version, it can't be my normal version of Photoshop CS5 can it? It'sonly occured to the Photoshop CS6 Extended trial, all the other Creative Suite trials from Adobe Download Assisstant work.

How to install Photoshop CS6 Extended for Mac with no DVD drive?

I have bought the Photoshop CS6 Extended for Students for my new Mac and realized that I don't have a DVD drive to install it on. Is there a way that I can install the program without the cd? I have looked into the "free trial then activate" route and Adobe no longer offers a free trial for Photoshop CS6 Extended.

Hi I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended a year or so ago and I am trying to install it onto my new computer. My new computer doesn't have a disk drive so I am unable to insert the disk and I cannot find where to download CS6 on the website, I keep being redirected to CC instead.

I used the Adobe Support Advisor to check why and it said it had no errors.
It is the Education Edition.
I have windows 8. recently bought PC.

Photoshop CS6 Extended is compatible on Windows 8 64-bit. The error which you have mentioned Ïnstaller Failed to Initialize"occurs when the Application manager is not updated. Hence please install the latest version of Adobe Application manager from the below link and try to install the product:

How to install Photoshop cs6 extended?

I bought two different cs6 software packages at different times. I bought and installed design standard first. This included photoshop cs6. I then found a good deal on production premium so I bought it. Production premium is supposed to come with photoshop extended. I installed prod. premium and I still only had the regular photoshop (opening splash screen was just the photoshop version with the circles instead of the photoshop version with the paint splatter).
I tried uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling from the prod. premium disc but it will only install photoshop it seems.
How can I go about installing the photoshop extended version that I should have access to?

Please follow the below mentioned steps:
Open Photoshop
Choose Help > Deactivate
Select Deactivate Permanently from this computer after deactivation completes
Click Deactivate.
Reopen Photoshop. You are prompted for a serial number. Enter the Extended serial number.

the link works but the set of "instructions" doesn't change anything...

Control-click the folder and choose Get Info.
In the Sharing & Permissions section, click the Details option to show owner and group options.

I'm familar with PCs, this is my first Mac. I guess the biggest problem i have is I'm familiar with iOS system and terminology. ive tried to change the file name and creatinga file to install as well as changing folders to read and write, but what is the parent file????
Does Adobe have tech support agents that i can grant remote access so they can fix this for me on the backend? I've had Norton do this for me on a PC, money is not an issue.

if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps. the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

Disc Space error on Photoshop CS6 Extended install

I am attempting to install Photoshop CS6 Extended (win version) on my Windows 7 ( 64 bit) machine. Core 2 duo CPU @3.16gh with 8 gb or ram.
The machine meets all the minimum requirements and has more than enough disc space.
This is the error I get during initial extraction. "A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and write privileges on the destination folder. "I am the admin, the folder has permissions set correctly.
Also, I tried to read the "installation instructions" found in the CD and am unable to read the file as it says it is corrupted. Anyone else running into this issue?

No 3D options on Windows 8 in Photoshop CS6 Extended!

Hello everyone! Recently, I have installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended trial from Adobe.com (Yeah, I am sure it was the EXTENDED version). In the setup it says that it is installing ”Photoshop CS6 Extended” and I could saw that yellow leaves -or what that is- girl in the image. But everytime I open the program, it says only ”Adobe Photoshop CS6”, I have no 3D options displayed and if I go to About Photoshop, it says that it is only ”Adobe Photoshop CS6 (not EXTENDED-as I could see on some youtube videos)”! So, what is the problem? I have a 32-bit system and Windows 8 Release Preview installed. I read that XP does not support 3D, but about Windows 8... Or, it does not support 32-bit systems, it only support 64-bit systems??? What should I do? Thank you in advance!

You may even want to check how the other GPU features work on this video card. It is at the minimum requirement for Ps CS6, and given the age of this card it may not be supported.
The minimum required GPU must have 512 MB VRAM for Ps CS6 Extended. We have some cases for GPU with 256-512MB where the 3D menu items aren't disabled, but problems may still occur. The suggested VRAM is 1GB or higher for 3D the feature set.

3D Menu not displayed Photoshop CS6 Extended

Hi all,
I have just installed Photoshop CS6 Extended from adobe.com as the trial, but after installing it I don't see the 3D menu at the top.
I have tried reinstalling several times but still no 3D menu.
I have a ASUS GTX550Ti graphics card with 1gb of ram so I thought this would be sufficiunt.
Also running windows 7 64bit.
Any help appreciated.

People report this from time to time. Adobe's response has been along the lines of "of course the trial will show you the 3D menu", ignoring the fact that a user is reporting that it doesn't.
Did you get the Photoshop trial software directly from Adobe.com?
It's not a problem with your hardware being insufficient, because if the GPU or OS/driver weren't up to the task the 3D menu would be there, just grayed-out. That you're not seeing it says that the installer has done something wrong and has set up the trial to run as the Standard edition somehow.
Unfortunately, no one has reported a sure way to make the Extended features show up in the trial so far, since mostly the problem has been dodged, but here's what I'd suggest.
Uninstall the trial, then run the Adobe Create Suite Cleaner Tool, then try a reinstall.
