Installing Photoshop Elements 9 problem

Hi,
I am having an issue installing PSE 9 on an XP vm machine. Keeps rolling back the install with error "the wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements could be completely installed" Its some problem with the Shared Technologies part. Have looked at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/858/cpsid_85843.html but this didn't help. Any ideas?

Its a 32 bit machine. Here is the log file

What's error 1 in adobe photoshop elements configuration? I have a computer with W Vista 8, Windows office home and business 2013. I have done this but the message continues to appear

You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

  • Problem with installing Photoshop elements 9 and adobe support advisor

Hi, I've received a graphic tablet with 2 programs: the first has been downloaded and works perfectly while the second, PSE9, has been giving me problems for at least a week!
I downloaded it and now I have a winzip file full of strange things (one of this is set up exe which tells me that I have to install adobe support advisor) and two files which said 3DF.tmp and PSEP9(1).zip.download and if I try to click them they tell me that I have to find on the Net the program to open them because I can't. And I don't know which program is required.
I tried a lot of times to download the adobe support advisor, I have enough space on my disc and my farewall is deactivated, but when the program begins I saw this annoyant message
cpsid_82829s5 Missing installation file bootstrapper error occured
with this code for a support from adobe 00-67325-032018052012
I unistalled it and retried, but nothing.
Please, I just want to use my tablet with the programs which are comprised in the package, why it's so difficult to download this damn photoshop elements 9????????????
    Thank you

In the error message it doesn't tell me
"Installer has detected that a machine restart is pending. It is recommended that you quit the installer, restart try again,"
neither "Installer failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
and I have enough space and I have Windows xp then I should be able to install it. I tried to unistall and install again the support advisor but nothing. I'm desperate.

I had the same issue and I'm running Windows 7.  Tried working with technical support for several hours but they were no help.  They just had me doing the same things over and over, offering no real answers.  I finally got fed up and have decided to return my product for a full refund.

Elements 2.0 is an old version. The message may be due to the fact that your new HD is much bigger than your older one, and not due to the classical reasons:

  • Error problem while installing Photoshop Elements 12

I received the combo pack of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 this Christmas. I started to install the cd onto my computer and entered the serial number for Photoshop. Midway while installing Photoshop Elements 12, my computer froze. I cancelled the installation and restarted my computer. When I tried re-installing Photoshop, I keep getting error applying transforms. Please verify special transforms paths are valid.
I tried Installing the Premiere Elements 12 and it installed fine. I just cannot get the Photoshop Elements part to work. What can do to rectify this? Thanks for any help!

  • Problems installing Photoshop Elements 11 upgrade

I'm trying to install photoshop elements 11 and premiere elements as an upgrade from elements 6. When I click on 'download' on the order page the next screen tells me that I'm using internet explorer 4 or earlier and have to use a later version.  My browser is IE 10.  I tried downloading IE 10 just in case but it told me that I already have it.  How do I get past this screen?  Thanks.

Personally I prefer the disks that come in a box.
Perhaps you could download a copy of Chrome and use that if IE10 is acting up.

Your right. It won't make any sense to subscribe for a software that I don't own. I have CS5 on my Dell Laptop which has been giving me issues, so I re-installed the Operating System along with all my editing programs and nothing more. So I can toggle between the Mac and the PC to get the job done in the meantime. I will eventually get CS6 for the Mac.

  • Having trouble installing photoshop elements 12

Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with a problem I'm having installing photoshop elements 12 on my vista pc. Basically I have tried downloading the trial via the download assistant but the program will not load or show any signs of working after I download it. I have also attempted to directly download the trial from Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools but file 1 only seems to download a 1.5mb file that will not open (similar to the download assistant). File 2 will download but upon unpacking it, the installer program in the download will not respond.
I have tried turning all of my antivirus off, and have been downloading with firefox as opposed to internet explorer. I have not had any error messages pop up as no programs or downloads I have tried even seem to load up.
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Hardy Tasso,
Are you seeing this problem since first launch of PSE13 after installation or recently?
    Please try:
Keep Ctrl + Alt + Shift keys pressed while launching PSE13 Editor and click OK on the dialog that comes next.
