I have installed Photoshop CS6 64 bit from a disk, but I need an additional 32 bit install for my scanner. Can anyone tell me how to do that, please?

Use the add windows feature from the windows control panel.
    Or use PowerShell:
    Add-WindowsFeature BITS

Tried installing itunes for 64 bit Windowns on my PC several times but each time soon after download starts the box disappears and nothing happens. Any ideas?

11.Once the updates are done, make sure you are booted into Windows and call Microsoft support and explain the issue (doing a clean installation with an upgrade disk.) The issue is very common and not specific to Mac users so they will pass you to Tech support and help you activate your copy of Windows.
Not always. I tried. Easier to reinstall Windows 7 over itself, activated fine. Or just do the legal thing and buy full copy. Mac Pro owners that want dual processor support need Pro or Ultimate (Enterprise also) rather than Home Premium.
I would NOT use Boot Camp 3.1, it causes problems for number of Mac Pro owners, though maybe not all so unclear what/why) but just stay with Boot Camp 3.0x from the Snow Leopard DVD (which can have trouble with AppleHFS)

  • I've downloaded Adobe Captivate 8 64-bit Free Trial, installed but the program won't open.

I've uninstalled and re-installed, tried the 32-bit version with the same result.  It says it's installed  successfully.  I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit PC.

  • Unable to install iTunes for 64-bit Windows 8

Hi guys, I'm having some problems right now, as I am unable to use my iPhone with iTunes. I get the error message; "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes."
I have been able to sync my iPhone fine since i upgraded to Windows 8, this problem MAY have arisen after i last updated iTunes, but I cannot be sure as i haven't synced my phone in a little while.
After uninstalling iTunes myself, i tried to download the 64-bit version for windows from the apple website, but upon opening the install .exe file, i was confronted with some sort of combatability error, which i was unable to solve.
I then tried to re-download it using the Apple Software updater on my computer, but it seems to have not installed the 64-bit version, which I find a tad strange!
Upon writing this, i tried to replicate the compatability error i experienced, so i downloaded the install file from the apple website again, but uninstalled iTunes using that install file rather than using add or remove programs. After I did this, i ran the install file again, and followed the steps- 'Success!' i thought to myself, but alas. Upon plugging in my phone, "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes." comes up again.
This is very annoying for me as I have some CDs that I'm itching to add to my iTunes library on my phone, and i am unable to update to iOS 6.1 OTA so i can only do it through tethering with iTunes!
    Can anybody help me?!
    I am running:
    Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200)

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Install problems with PSE 8 free trial

I downloaded the free trial of PSE 8 from the Adobe site to my new computer running with VISTA.  I then was told I needed to unzip so I successfully downloaded a Winzip program which, as I guess is supposed to free up these large files.  I can't figure out what to do next.  When I go into the Winzip program, I see a bunch of unzipped files that, taken together, add up to about a 1.1 GB large download which is what PSE 8 is.  How do I proceed to install so I can finally get to the program?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Ankush
    1. Download successful
    2. Launch EXE - no UAC, no AV, run as administrator
    3. As extraction reaches 100% a failure error displays (step 2 image below)
    4. Never actually get to start PSE installation. If the setup.exe file is run another error shows. Interestingly, setup.ini is empty 0 bytes.
My take is that the file for download is corrupt the .7z, possibly by the download manager or maybe in extraction.
What is very weird is that this has happened on both an old Vista install and now a fresh W7 (64bit) Pro install.
Could it be machine related? Maybe, but it would have to be a hardware conflict of some sort ...

  • Billed for VZW Navigator Free Trial

My wife tried out the VZW navigator feature on her phone on 2/19 because it was a 30 day free trial.  I noticed on my bill that I was charged for this service for the partial month in February plus the entire month of March.  I cancelled this service today but I want to know why I was charged for a free trial.  I also want to be credited for these charges.  I'm surprised to see that navigation isn't included.  I switched from another provider and they included it.
Is there an email address to contact customer service?  I don't want to wait on hold, chat, or use facebook to contact customer service.  Email would be preferable.

We definitely understand your concerns spdGT! I do offer my apologies that our email support service has been discontinued. • How do I get the serial number needed for 30 day free trial for Adobe Captivate?

You will need to buy the software.

  • Charged for premium on free trial

I've been charged 9.99 when I cancelled well before the 30 days were up. After trying to find a number to call, I find that I can only contact through the contact forms. After doing more research, I've seen how poor Spotify is in getting back to people with these problems. So not only can I not call to get immediate results, I have to wait for Spotify at their convenience to give me my money back. Which could be a couple months and another  9.99 charge. Yes, I filled out your form to get help, but I don't get how an organization can get away with not posting some kind of customer service number. Especially when they're wrongfully taking peoples money. I've read a lot of cases having this same problem just in the past couple weeks. I was a happy Spotify user until this happened, and this really puts a bitter taste in my mouth.

Spotify keep chargeing me for premium although i cancelled it. In my account it says im on free trial and i have deleted the information to My creditcard, but that doesnt stop me from being charged. Feeling really angry and disapointed!
    Hey! :)
It sounds like you actually have two accounts, one of which is still on premium. If you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form they will be able to make sure it is all cancelled and make sure your not out of pocket.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Windows 7 64-bit - how do I install Photoshop CC 64-bit, because the 32 bit version was installed automatically?

I am running window 7 64-bit and the version of photoshop that CC installed is 32-bit. I want to install a 64-bit version of photoshop so that I can access all of my RAM (I keep getting error messages). Apparently CC should install the correct version for the operating system automatically ...

    Thanks for the reply.
I just re-opened Photoshop after it crashed and now it is a 64-bit version and in preferences I can now see all of my RAM. That sounds odd but I checked Help/About Photoshop and earlier it was x32 and now it says x64. Fairly sure I'm not going mad.
I think I need to re-phrase my question.

  • How to Update/install Photoshop CC version 14.2 (TRIAL)

    Hi there,
I was really glad to see this new feature in Photoshop CC that exports PSD's to adobe reflow, So I decided to try out this trial to see if I like it and if it works good. I have been a very happy customer and adob product fan for years now.
So downloaded Adobe CC. by using the Creative Cloud app. and I find out I have this version of Adobe:
    Adobe Photoshop Version: 14.0 (14.0 20130423.r.221 2013/04/23:23:00:00) x32
    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
And I read, if you want to be able to generate an export to Reflow, you need to update to 14.2, so basicly I am 2 versions behind.
    1. Updating in the Creative Cloud isnt possible as it states V. Up to date.
    2. Searching for a update in Photoshop CC gives no results.
    3. Some on the forum suggested to use the CC cleaner, deinstall the program and Creative Cloud and reinstall. This gave me the exact same version.
    4. Contacted Customer Service Chat, they are not whilling to help on a trial account, and suggested I should purchase the product before they help you (how stupid is this, telling me to buy a product that doesnt seem to work in trial periode.
    5. I wanted to talk to somone so I decided to call Customer Service. and to make a long story short,  they came up with the same solution. As they dont know the right answer, they told me to go to the forums for a solution or buy the product AND then they will help me.
    6. More people have this issue on this forum, some problems are solved some are not. suggested solutions didnt work for me do.
On the website, adobe  states clearly: we want everyone to have a chance to try out this new product, if you have a version 14.0 and update it to 14.2 your trial periode will even restart back to 30 day's.
Ok well i would love to try out all these new features, but now I am running out of options. So  I sincerely hope that someonee can help me and provide me with a better solution then " buying this product"
    Kind regards

Not having had any problems with the Creative Cloud application getting the updates myself (but I'm actually subscribed), I can't advise you directly from personal experience, though I have always thought that the Creative Cloud application would update you to the latest.
Have you tried closing and re-opening the Creative Cloud application, then checking again?
I believe ProDesignTools has made the individual updates available online.  You could run the 14.2 update that way (no need to run the ones in between).

  • How do I uninstall Photoshop Elem. 6 free trial download that expired?

I just purchased Photoshop Elements 8, installed it on my MAC running OS10.6+ and, so far, it appears to be OK (after doing some simple trial editing).
But I want to remove a legacy TRIAL version of Photoshop Elements 6 and well as a CV3 and an early version of "help."  I never bought the trial version before it expired, thus it has been an unusable memory hog for over a year or so.
I read several questions/comments regarding removing legacy Element versions.  One commentator (an employee) said you could find an uninstaller in the library adobe folder for 6.  So I followed his sequence and found the uninstaller for my new version, but not for Elements 6.  Nor did a spotlight search turn up anything located elsewhere for version 6.  Other users (with paid versions?) apparently found the uninstaller in the suggested location and were successful in deleting the program.   I'm not sure why my trial version is lacking the uninstaller, so how can I uninstall without doing the naughty thing and dropping old adobe files in the trash?
It would be great if any removal suggestions would leave my installation of the new Elements 8 intact so I don't have to also uninstall and reinstall it!

Thank you Jon99.  That was actually the route I previously took (through utilities, not library--sorry for my mistake).  When I got there I saw PSE 6 installer right next to my PSE 8 uninstaller.  I figured, logically, that if PS8 had an uninstaller, that PSE6 would also, and I certainly didn't want to install 6 again since it was already present.  NEVERTHELESS, I opened it and, as expected, I got a message that I could not proceed with setup so I closed it. Thus my original consternation.
Your email motivated me to try again, thinking I must have overlooked something.  I again came to the same dead end, but I hesitated a moment before closing the installer, when, suddenly a new screen appeared telling me I had to quit a CV program I didn't know was open.  So I did as instructed and finally found the uninstall option.  It worked and better yet, my new Elements program is still intact.  I'm glad the new program has been improved so that those of us who are "logic-constrained" can easily find the uninstaller.  Perhaps others may benefit from my mistakes and your suggestion.

  • Trouble installing Photoshop CC 64 bit windows 8 - internal file signature incorrect

I had a problem and fixed it, and thought I'd post in case others have the problem. I have a new Win 8 machine.  I subscribed to CC (LR+PS), but couldn't install PS 64 bit. Well, when I installed, I got a message it installed ok but had a problem. Adobe showed a log file I could access, but I couldn't access it, and I didn't want to look at a log file anyway. I was hoping for an answer in English.  I tried to open PS 64 and got this message:  "internal file signature is incorrect".  I googled the message, and the majority opinion was to try and reinstall.  Well, I had already tried that and failed.  Then I got an idea I wish I had had before.  When you get a new PC, first thing to do is update all the drivers, etc, and then go to Windows update.  There were many Windows update.  My PC is HP, so I went into it's support center, and clicked the button to update drivers, etc.  There were a lot of updates, including the bios.  After restarting the computer, the install of PS 64 worked, but then I got the other error I posted today (and fixed).  Hope these posts help some poor souls.
