Installing Photoshop on Windows 8 Tablet

We have installed CS6 on a PC and the employee now needs to travel more.  She has a Windows 8 ASUS tablet and would like to install just the Photoshop portion on the tablet.  Is that possible and how would we do that with the same serial number?

does the tablet meet specs (64bit processor etc)? http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
if it does and it lacks a dvd drive, copy the install files from the dvd to a usb stick and install from the usb stick or:
if you follow all 7 steps, you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, a failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.

  • Need help installing Photoshop on Windows 7 computer

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended with Windows 7 and it keeps saying that Adobe Acrobat 5 is not compatible and it won't give me install instructions

As Pat said, where is that Acrobat 5 reference coming from? If you really forcibly installed an old version of Acrobat (which should be impossible, but you never know...), the globally shared PDF libraries would not be compatible and trigger this warning...

  • Installing Photoshop on Windows Vista....HELP!

    Can someone PLEASE help me?
I had a PC which got hit by lighting and now it is d-e-a-d dead. It has Windows XP on it and it also had all my programs. I have Photoshop version 6, with the CS2 upgrade. I have product key and paid for it.
I went out and bought a laptop, and it has Windows Vista on it. I can't seem to install my Photoshop because it won't even read my ver 6 disk. It will read the CS2 disk, but since it is only an upgrade, it keeps asking for anther ver and stupid Vista won't read my ver 6! ARG!
What am I do to? I downloaded a patch for Vista and PS, but it is for ver 7 and higher......but I have 6! It's not like I run 6 anymore, I use the CS2, but i need to install 6 to get CS2 on the machine.
Does ANYONE know what I can or should do? I soooooooo need my program working, I am losing work over this!
    HELP!

    > You have to have version 7 for the upgrade.
Not for CS2. But the problem is that the OP is using a DVD drive. This
was a known issue installing CS2 upgrades. The installer couldn't read the earlier version from a DVD drive.

  • Can install photoshop on my tablet using the same subscription from the one i have for my computer?

i have photoshop on my laptop and i have just obtained an 8in tablet. could i intstall the same photoshopcc on this tablet without having to buy another licence for it?

Your CC subscription allows for installation on two machines.  If your tablet happens to meet the system requirements for the software then there is a chance you can install it there.

  • Could not Install Photoshop in Windows 7

When I Run Setup.exe, it checks system profile or whatever, after entering Serial it says "insert photoshop CS4 into the Drive"
so, please tell me What is the Problem in the Installation ??

What is the Problem in the Installation ??
You are not running with sufficient permissions and/or are low on temporary disk space, so the install files never get extracted properly. Make sure, there is ienough room left in C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Local\Temp and you run any installs as admin.

  • Just installed Photoshop CS5 and cannot figure out tablet sensitivity...

    Hi everyone.
Previously with my computer running Photoshop Elements 7, I had no problems using the brush tool with my Tooya Pro tablet. The harder I pressed, the thicker the line would become up to the full diameter of the brush selected.
Just yesterday I installed Photoshop CS5 (wahoo!), and the brush works fine with the tablet- except there doesn't seem to be any pressure sensitivity. Clicking "Tablet pressure controls size" box on the top tool bar doesn't appear to do anything, and neither does setting the size jitter to "pen pressure" in shape dynamics in the brush menu.
Does anyone know anything else I should try? I've gone back to PSE7 and found out it still works as it used to, but just for some reason it won't work right in CS5.
    Thanks for any advice!
Additional details: running Windows 7 64 bit.
I have tried the solutions in this troubleshooting section: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop/cs/using/WS7EE7587B-452F-4271-8252-898FCA43C27Ca.htm l#ionCTAAnchor

Did you try it with the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5?
Normally both a 32 and 64 bit version are installed on an x64 system.

  • How to install Photoshop 5 in Windows 7 64 bit machine

My Windows XP laptop quit.  New laptop is Windows 7 64 bit machine.  When I install Photoshop CD and select Install Photoshop 5, nothing happens.  I found this link: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5162
but I cannot open it.  The instructions with it say to copy into Files (x86\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop, but since I cannot get Photoshop 5 to load, there is no Adobe Photoshop files in x86\Adobe, only Adobe Reader.  Help!  I have lots of files I use Photoshop 5 to edit and now no way to edit them.

    a. enable file extensions to be visible:
To show file name extensions in Windows Explorer, follow these steps:
For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008
Start Windows Explorer, you can do this by opening up any folder.
    Click Organize.
    Click Folder and search options.
    Click the View tab.
Scroll down until you notice Hide extensions for known file types, un-check this line by clicking the check box.
Note To hide file name extensions, check this line.
    Click OK
    b. open the photoshop directory/folder and attach a screenshot of its contents.
    c. open autorun (setup info) in notepad and copy and paste its contents here.
    d. open readme.wri in wordpad and see if it contains anything useful.

  • Using Photoshop CC 2014 on a Windows Tablet without a keyboard and mouse

Using Photoshop CC 2014 on a Windows Tablet without a keyboard and mouse can be quite a challenge. Even if you use the experimental 2x UI. You can not use your fingers or to quickly change tools and change settings. You have no shortcut without popping up Windows touch keyboard or leave it up taking a great deal of screen space.  If you're using the 2x UI Photoshop uses the screen at half resolution so it displays 1/4 the amount of pixels it could.
Fortunately I found a little touchkey utility on the web the lets you design your own touch keyboards. The can be transparent and you can even paint under them as long as you start the stroke  outside the keyboard area. The keyboards can be toggles on and off so you can actually use Photoshop.  The utility is small and requires not installation can be run form anywhere.  I purchased a Surface Pro 3 a week ago.  Its a full fledge PC.  Through the home group I can access all machines in my house and using network shares I can access all files on my machines and the network drive on my router,  I can print on my Epson 4800 printer. I can show slideshow on my HDTV via   Bluetooth using a Microsoft wireless display adapter.   I can plug in my Wacom Intuos Pro wireless receiver into the USB  3 port and use my Wacom tablet.  Have a very touchy machine.  Touch on the keyboard touch pad touch on the Display display and on the Wacom tablet.  Could have touch on a mouse but I prefer the Microsoft comfort bluetooth mouse that has six buttons and a four way wheel.
As a tablet its under two pounds.  Its quite impressive cost why mor the an iPad but worth the cost to me for with windows I can get at the file system.   If you have a Surface Pro 3 you should check out  "Touchkey" its handy.

Do a screen screen capture and post it here so we can see what you stating about a white layout...

Run the cleaner tool and reinstall with sufficient user privileges and security stuff turned off. Your install went wrong because you didn't consider this.

You are allowed to have two activated installations.  If you happened to have one on this Windows 8 machine before, it is possible that the activation used for it was never deactivated (did you deactivate it before you upgraded Windows?).  Talk to Adobe support thru chat.  They might be able to resolve this with you:

  • Can Photoshop 4, upgraded to 5, be installed on my Windows 7 64 bit OS ?

I bought Photoshop 4, 16 or 17 years ago, and upgraded it to version 5 later on, and I never had trouble with this combo, on any other of my Windows controlled computers, but they were all 32 bit. I'm now in my early 60's, so another upgrade is no longer possible, but I have Photoshop CS2 and Imageready CS2, downloaded and installed. And up until now, that has been enough for my use. But this coming Friday, Feb 21, the woman I was married to passed away three years ago, and the last good photo, if it can be called that, was of her in a wheelchair in the hospital, less than 6 months before she passed on. Her skin on her arms and face, has some damage showing, as well as the trachea they gave her, to help her breathe. Thinking about it, I decided to try and remove all the skin defects, using Photoshop CS2, and I did..., except I also removed the lines of her jaw, nose and such, leaving her looking as bad without the flaws, as she looked with them. I researched it a little, and found some tips and tutorials, to BRUSH her flaws away instead of by using the magic wand and skin color, to paint over them. But it seems that what I was reading concerning the types of brushes there are and what I should use, I can't find inside CS2, so I tried to install Photoshop 4, but it came back with an error message, that this version, is not compatible with 64 bits, and said to ask the makers of the software, if there was a way to load it on the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
There are some suggestions I've found on how to bypass this problem and load it in the 64 bit machine, but I decided to reach out to Adobe,to see if there was a way to make this combo of Photoshop 4 and 5, work on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
    Paul

    Noel,
I must admit, your reply at the start of your answer, seems a bit confusing
to me. Photoshop CS2 here in south Louisiana, is a FREE PROGRAM that
someone can download and install..., absolutely no cost to get it.
Photoshop 4 and other upgrades, are damn sure not free. Photoshop 4 ran me
a bit over $800, and upgrade 5 at almost $425. Now, maybe I am an OLDER
PERSON, and maybe being in my 60's, means I'm a bit POOR, but where do you
get this, " there's no allowance in the law that makes it okay for older or
poor people to use unlicensed software". I know what the term PIRACY
applies to, and I'm not aware that I suggested or asked for any type of
illegal answer to my question. Photoshop CS2 was not criticized by me
except if my saying it did not have ALL the tools inside it, that the full
version of Photoshop does, is being TOO CRITICAL? How does it make any
sense, to have a FREE VERSION OF PHOTOSHOP CS2 AVAILABLE, if it has ALL THE
ABILITY THE EXPENSIVE PHOTOSHOP VERSIONS HAVE? So, please don't say I need
not be offended because I DID NOT ALLUDE TO ANY ILLEGAL SOLUTIONS, to my
    question.
If your answer is what I was supposed to get, asked to someone in the
Photoshop community, then Microsoft's Windows error pop-ups, should simply
be ignored. As I had said, there were suggestions I ran across, on how to
convert past Photoshop installs on 32 bit systems into working on 64 bit
OS. One way, was to download an installed version of Photoshop off an older
Windows OS that you may have, on a Flash USB, and then take it off the
Flash USB and NOT INSTALL, but MOVE the files into x86, again, not
installed. That would leave 6 or 7 missing .dll files, which can be gotten
online, put in the Photoshop files in x86, and according to those who were
discussing it, it works just fine. I have Windows XP on my last pc, and it
is still saved up, so I could have gone that route, or maybe even another.
I'm not a lawyer, nor am I an employee of Adobe, but since I already PAID
for Photoshop 4 and 5, I am not aware of STEALING ANYTHING, by taking an
installed older version, and trying to access it on my newer pc. I'm not a
software GEEK, but if Photoshop was made in 16 bit format, and can be used
in 32 bit, but not 64 bit, then about the only loser in this attempt, would
be Adobe, since I'm not planning on spending another small fortune, buying
a Photoshop version that actually works on 64 bits. Is doing this something
that makes me a thief? Being I've been on computers nearly 20 years now, I
have ran across previous software, that was compatible on BOTH 32 AND 64
BIT SYSTEMS. So that is a possibility, but again, I am NOT A SOFTWARE
PROGRAMMER or DESIGNER, so why this software from Adobe is not compatible
with 64 bit, there may be a reason, but if there was, I sure am not aware
of that. But what do I know, asking a logical question as it was suggested
I do, and getting this type of reply for my effort. And all this, just
because I was trying to clean up a photo my deceased wife took in the
hospital, a few months before she passed on and is now with God. Go
    figure...
    Paul
