Installing pictures as a wallpaper

Hi all,
I would like to create a little application to install
pictures as a wallpaper. First I would make the app to get the
screen resolution and decide which version to show (800x600;
1024x768 and 1280x1024) but that shouldn't be a problem (I think)
On the screen would be a few thumbnails and one big version
which is selected at the moment with a button "set as wallpaper". A
simpler version would be to include an instruction 'right-click on
the picture and set as wallpaper' but apparently right-click menus
aren't shown in the previous applications I made (or is it just a
setting?) A cross-platform solution would be great but I get the
feeling that it requires dedicated authoring on PC, OS9 and OSX
since it's interacting with the system settings.
I'm not an experienced Director user but maybe you figured
that out already...
Big thanks in advance!

I've done this before using the DirectOS xtra from
DirectXtras:
http://www.directxtras.com/DOS_home.asp?UUID=1691016
It worked finre for Mac and PC. Also you should use the
BudAPI xtra to get the file pathnames. Took a little work figuring
it out, but it works well.

  • I accidentally took a picture of my wallpaper!

As I was trying to turn off my iPhone, somehow I accidentally took a picture of my wallpaper.
I am not sure how I did it, but I have the evidence in my camera roll.
    How did I do that?

Thanks! I was able to reproduce this phenomenon!

    6) Take Screenshots Anytime
You can take any screenshots at anytime easily on your iPhone. First of all, press and hold the “Home” button and then click the “Sleep” button once. The screen will flash white and the screenshot will be stored in your camera roll immediately.

  • Installing pictures to smart phone

how to instal pictures down loaded to elements 12 on computer to smart phone with out using revel?

I suppose that depends a bit on what/whose navigation software you have there; Wayfinder, Navicore, TomTom, Route 66, or something else by some other software provider.
Secondly, it is whether it is a version of the software that is compatible with the phone (the E61 is based on the "S60 3rd Edition" platform, and needs a version of the app designed/developed for S60 3rd Ed.).
Normally, the software developer would provide you with a .sis or in the case of S60 3rd Ed. a .sisx file that you install first, before the app appears in the phone menu.
If you have the proper .sis or .sisx file to install on the memory card, then you should be able to launch the installation using either the Application Manager or the File Manager programs on the phone. Note that on S60 3rd Ed. phones some folders/directories are protected, so you should not put the .sis/.sisx files for installation under /sys, /system or /private folders/directories (if you, e.g., used a memory card reader or "USB mass storage" mode to copy the installation file to the card).

  • Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Why does IOS 7 enlarge pictures for the wallpaper and then disallow you to make them smaller to fit the screen?

Now correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure I have read that the parallax effect in iOS 7 is the main reason behind wallpapers not being able to be shrunk. However, even disabling the effect will not allow you to resize the pictures like you could in previous versions of iOS, so as Skydiver119 said, it kind of is a glitch. If you are like me, and don't regularly change your wallpaper, then it may be worth creating a photoshop document which is slightly larger than your screen resolution(400px in each direction or so) and then placing your picture to suit, before copying it your device. Obviously, this would not be ideal if you were changing your wallpaper daily or very regularly as it would be a bit of a hassle having to do this every time you wanted to change your wallpaper.
    Hope this Helps!

  • How can i use a picture as a wallpaper without being zoomed in ?

Ok this is the problem before iOS 7 was released my wallpaper looks weird
Meaning . I had a picture of my daughter and the picture was perfectly adjusted
To fit the screen . Well when I updated to the iOS 7 software it zoomed in and it's not
Adjusted to fit the screen so I can view the whole picture it's just zoomed in and
I dislike that very much I hope there's an answer to my problem or hopefully Apple fixes
This problem with the wallpapers .

If you want that feature, let Apple know by using this link:
Apple - iPod nano - Feedback
Apple does not follow the discussions.

  • IOS 7 Changes Picture Size For Wallpaper

When I set a new picture as either my home screen or lock screen wallpaper it automatically stretches it out to fit the whole screen. Does anyone know how to change this?

Ok, I just found the solution Thank God
You see how with the new update the icons move as you tilt the phone to give you that "fancy" 3D look, well because of this the wallpaper gets distorted.
I turned this option off, and the wallpaper resizing issue went away
Here is how to turn that dumb 3D option off (which also drains your battery):
Navigate to the iOS 7 Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion -> ON
    Yep, that's all.
    Enjoy

  • Why does pictures used as wallpaper on a previous gen 4 IPad become too big for my current gen 4 IPad?

After a refurb gen 4 iPad 32GB lost it's display, it was replaced. The current gen 4 IPad 32GB is running  version 7.1.2. The same pictures from the same source that were used for wallpaper on the old IPad, are "over zoomed" on this IPad. The attempts to "Move and Scale" when assigning to the lock or home page doesn't work and can't figure out if the "Perspective Zoom" is affecting anything. Attempts to save new and different pictures and use them as wallpaper results in the same "over zoomed" picture. Are there any fixes or adjustment to this predicament ?

Take a look at some of the "More Like This" posts below. It's explained in great detail in other threads already.
