Installing PowerPivot, Setup is missing prerequisites

I'm planning on installing PowerPivot on several computers running Windows 7 x64 and Office 2010 x86. When trying to install PowerPivot on the first computer, the installation fails with the error message:
Setup is missing prerequisites: This add-in requires Excel 2010.
If you have 32-bit Excel, you must install the 32-bit version of the add-in. of not, you must install the 64-bit version. This
add-in requires that the Office Share Features component of Microsoft
Office 2010 is installed.

The prerequisites are in place, the installer is 32-bit, and the Office installation is 32-bit and has the Office Shared Features installed.
Is this error caused by me running a 64-bit OS?

I can connect with the Active Directory Sites and Domains and other applets to the AD. So Why these errors???

Hi, thanks for the answer.
I restarted the server and did the "run as administrator": same result.
The first errormessage in the exchangesetup.log is:
[ERROR] Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: Active Directory server is not available. Error message: Active directory response: The LDAP server is unavailable. See the Exchange setup log for more information
on this error.
When I run dcdiag /s:DC01 from EX01 it passes all tests except:
DFSREvent "The RPC server is unavailable"
KccEvent "The RPC server is unavailable."
SystemLog "The RPC server is unavailable."
Could these be of any influence?
Running dcdiag on DC01 passes all tests.
The only thing I changed after setting up DC01, was changing the fixed IP-adres from 192.168.25.3 to 192.168.25.2, but I ran ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns and dcdiag /fix afterwards.
The only roles installed on DC01 are AD DS (I tried installing exchange before and after adding the AD DS role), AD, DNS, DHCP and Fileservices
I don't know where to look anymore....

Run the cleaner tool and reinstall with sufficient user privileges and security stuff turned off. Your install went wrong because you didn't consider this.

Just before letting changes (installation in this case) be made on the system, Mac OS prompts for password & this has to be the Mac system password. This password prompt is the system's own native prompt & would accept the system password only. Please make sure it is the right system password (all/admin rights) and the installaion should run.

Can we install PowerPivot for SharePoint on a SQL cluster?

We are going to deploy SharePoint 2013 with PowerPivot for SharePoint (installed from SQL Server media). According to what I've read out there for a small or medium farm, the recommendation is to install PowerPivot for SharePoint on
every SharePoint application server in the farm. However, accoding to the licensing doc I've pasted below, PowerPivot can be run outside the SharePoint farm. We are going with SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition. PowerPivot requires a SQL
Server license for each server. To save money on licenisng, can we install PowerPivot for SharePoint on the 2 SQL Server cluster nodes (as a separate instance of course)?

PowerPivot for SharePoint is an Analysis Services instance in tabular mode. This
whitepaper mentions that clustering Analysis Services in SharePoint-integrated mode is not supported (page 8 under SSAS Server Modes.) You can, however, install it as a standalone
instance on the nodes of the cluster and let SharePoint handle the load balancing.
My apologies for the confusion on installing the SharePoint binaries on the PowerPivot instance. You don't need to install the SharePoint binaries if it is outside of the SharePoint farm. I was looking at my build documentation where I have both Reporting
Services and PowerPivot on the same machine with the same reason - reduce licensing cost - and similar to the 3-tier topology but with all of the service application and content databases on the database tier.

Setting up encryption on an already installed Arch setup?

Recently I have been thinking about setting up encryption on my already installed Arch setup. I would reinstall and encrypt it that way, however I do not have an external HDD big enough to back up everything, so I was wondering if it is possible to encrypt a hard disk on an already installed Arch setup. I have two partitions, /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2, and would like to encrypt both while not having to reinstall.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

I use rsync rather than tar to do what Stebalien is suggesting here. I use btrfs, and my root filesystem is actually a subvolume. So I mount the entire btrfs filesystem (from subvolid=0) at /var/lib/btrfs-root. By doing this, it makes it much easier to simply rsync (or tar) from that mountpoint to the backup mountpoint. This makes it so that I can actually backup the system I am running off of without explicitly excluding all the volatile directories (like /sys, /tmp, /proc, etc.) Though I think a more sane approach, since I use btrfs, would be to snapshot each subvol and rsync those instead.
I guess what I am trying to get at, is that if you were to create something like /mnt/system and /mnt/backup. If you mounted your rootfs to /mnt/system (and then possibly your home partition to /mnt/system/home), then mount the backup destination to /mnt/backup, you could simply do something like:
# rsync -aAXv /mnt/system/* /mnt/backup
Then of course you would have to put it all back after you set up Luks/dmcrypt.
This installation I use has been through a few different drives and trying and removing Luks/dmcrypt. I have also changed filesystems, switched to LVM2, tried mdadm RAID0, mdadm RAID1, and eventually went back to btrfs. So as mentioned above, there is really no need to reinstall just to change the underlying layout of the HDD/SSD. Of course this assumes that you have a spare drive with the space to copy your entire filesystem to... but then you should have backups anyway, right?

When creating a domain "... automatically configured to support the following products" and selecting the ORacle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 [oracle_common] option, I get this message:

Missing prerequisites:
DEP for emai Template: 11.1.1.0
[C:\Oracle\MW10320\oracle_common\common\templates\applications\oracle.emai_template_11.1.1.jar] (Oracle BPM Management Extension: 11.1.1.0)
the oracle.emai_template_11.1.1.jar is there.
What is missing? and where do I get it?

If you own any verson of iPhoto '11 then there is a free update to version 9.5.x in the App store
If you own a previous version of iPhto (iPhoto '09 or earlier) then as always an upgrade to a new version (in this case iPhoto '11) is a paid upgrade and you purchase it in the App store
and no OS update/upgrade contains a version of iPhto - it is a seperate program and although it is included as part of every new Mac it is not a free program and never has been sinve version 1 or 2 (I forget when it changes)

My OS is Vista SP1 (Version SE : Microsoft Windows Vista edition Familiale Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1).
Initially, the version was 1.48.0.11C. I made a mistake. I removed it from my notebook X200-245.
When I use Toshiba diagnostic tool, the displayed serial number is good. When I try to install Hardware setup utility, the message error says that it is invalid.
