Installing Premiere Elements 10, Extra Disks?
The program runs but I can't figure out why Adobe has given me 5 DVD's. DVD #2 is for Win 64 (my computer). What the heck do I do with Disks 3,4,5? I thought they were content but Adobe invites me to download content.

Newly installed Premiere Element 13 won't run.
I just installed Premiere Element13. The program launches but when I select either "New" or "Existing" project, a pop-up will show with the message"Adobe Premiere Element.exe - No Disk" "Please insert disk in drive D". The pop-up cannot be dismissed and the program is stuck there and won't even close. I have to go to Task Manager to end it! I am running Windows 8.1, i5 4670K CPU, 8G RAM, 1T HD with DVD burner. Any suggestion?

I just installed the purchased version of Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 and 8.1 64 bit. Interesting....
1. Beyond the usual, there seems to be a problem with this version's Interpret Footage and Properties readings for the .mod widescreen 16:9 file

2. With the Sept 2014 tryout there was a video transition named Funnel which is not there now in December 2014 in the
purchased version.
3. In the Sept. 2014 tryout, there were 2 new Movie Menu themes in the Kid's Corner category (Recital and Back to School). They
are not there in my December 2014 purchased Premiere Elements 13.
4. There are some reports about some .m2ts files having no sound only in the Elements Organizer 13 player. More news on that.
This just might be a problem with AC-3 (Dolby Digital) support in this particular user file in the Elements Organizer 13 player. If you run into this type of issue, please let us know.
But, right now all is moving along nicely. Hope all is going well there.

Error code when installing Premiere Elements
Hello -- I tried to install Premiere Elements 9 (haven't gotten around to it until now) and I got the following. The disk won't install and I have re-started my system twice. Both times my MacBook "spits out" the disk and I get this error message:
Could you please let us know the exact error message that you get while installing PSE 9. Also, if possible please atach the error screenshot along with the system details.
Try to copy the contents of the disk to the desktop and try installing it from there and check if that helps. -

Exit Code 24 - Cannot install Premiere Elements 10
Having downloaded and installed premiere elements 10 i experienced problems with the program and especially the help facility which just didnt work.
I went ahead and purchased a full copy of the program in the belief that a fresh full install would resolve the problem.
However I am unable to either uninstall the faulty program or install the purchased item.
Instead it just states that photoshopserver must be stopped but even when i do this you cannot progress at all!
Any help would be much appreciated.
The installation is on an iMac running OSX Lion and everything is up to date.
I have uploaded a fault report package but have no idea how to link it with any reported error.
Exit Code 24 is all that gets reported when you have to cancel the install process which is the only optionBrian,
I appreciate the clarification. I just got confused with the terms, and needed to know more. Now things make more sense to me, though I am troubled by perhaps the way that Adobe either designed, or implemented their installer module. Usually, the only trouble that one has with an Adobe installer is something fritzed in the OS, like the MSI module in Windows (there were many problems with one - think that it was on Vista - and MS fixed that), or just plain old OE, where one tries to run the installation routine for the Functional Content (Extras), before actually installing the program. Normally, they are very good, though there was one for an update to PrPro, that had to be pulled and reworked. The update feature worked fine upon release, but when Adobe packaged that update with an installation module, things got side-ways. It was pulled, and a new, re-written one was posted to Adobe.com in about 4 working days. Otherwise, it's normally easy, quick, virtually transparent, and no one has issues - that is what makes troubleshooting installation issues so tough - most of us never encounter them, and have to rely of "fixes," that we have read about. Sounds like there is an issue here.

Cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro
cannot install premiere elements 10 on my new macbook pro. keep getting exit code 7 half way through installation and disc ejects. running OS X 10.7.2 (lion). have installed acrobat reader, flash player, tried safe start mode...nothing works...HELP!
Yes ..thats the log in Library/Logs/adobe/installers/
The log is called
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 10.0 12-01-2011.log.gz
it has more entries in that one log but they relate to earlier fails and are identical each time....
there is a photoshop log in there as well (I bought the bundle) but that installed succesfully.
It clearly falls over trying to install Sonicfire pro 5 for premiere elements but WHY is the question
I really dont know what else to suggest...curious that the original poster on this thread had the same error on install as me it seems on a macbook pro
I really would like this to be sorted obviously if possible as soon as possible given I paid for t and cant use it
any other thoughts?

How do I resolve Dialog opens with Adobe Premiere Elements.exe – no disk
i purchased Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 and s/n.
I have a desktop running win 7.
I installed Photoshop and Premiere Elements as a trial and entered s/n's as required.
I can open Photoshop without problem.
Whenever I try to open Premiere Elements, a dialog opens with this info.
Adobe premiere elements.exe – no disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive\device\harddisk1\dr1.
Buttons –cancel, try again or continue
I would like to resolve this issue.

What you describe is a known issue with Premiere Elements 13/13.1.
Adobe has given us the fix which appears to be deletion of the OldFilm.AEX file.
Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit

NewBlue
and in the NewBlue Folder is the OldFilm.AEX file that you delete or disable by renaming the file from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.

I just updated to Photoshop & Premiere Elements 13, by downloading the 64-bit Windows version from the Adobe website. Windows keeps popping-up (multiple times) "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe-no disk" window. Circle X - comment "There is no disk in drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk\DR3. After 6 to 18 times (choses cancel, try again, continue). The window finally goes away. How do I get rid of this problem? BTW, when installing from Version 11, I opted from the preferences from the 11 Version.

I chose Adobe Elements 11's preferences to be installed into the Adobe Premiere Elements 13
program. It was an options , when setting up the Version 13 program.
Was there something extraordinary about your Adobe Premiere Elements 11 preferences?
It is interesting situation...maybe a coincidence, but 11 was typically hit with No Disc message, and
most of the time the problem was related to SmartSound which was discontinued in versions 12 and 13.
If no extraordinary reason for this preferences transfer which I have not run into...

and, in the 13.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete to "flush" the preferences. If that does not
work, then delete the whole 13.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with
Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete file cited.
Have you installed Premiere Elements 13 to the default location on Local Disc C?

I purchased a copy of Premiere Elements 11 in April, I installed it on my laptop and it worked fine. I just purchased a new dell desktop with windows 8, I uninstalled it on my laptop and installed it on the new desktop. When I tried to create a quick movie I recieved and error that reads "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - no disk, There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:"
I contacted Adobe Support, after everything was said and done. I was told that the dll files on my install disk were corrupt and that I needed to upgrade to a new version for the mire sum of $150.00. Has anyone else run into this ?This error seems to be related to SmartSound. Have you ensured that Smartsound and Sonic Fire Pro are properly installed?

2. Assure that antivirus and firewall(s) are disable for the following. Download and install the free tryout of Premiere Elements 12 from the following web site.

premiere elements 9 blueray disks video format, I only seen h264. In pr el 7 you have h264 and mpg 2 hd settings.
Is the missing hd mpg 2 blue ray settings in premiere elements 9 normal or is it just my demo install?

thanksIf you are shooting in any hi-def format, the video will need to be re-encoded when you produce a BluRay disc regardless. Even if you're feeding HDV in and gettiing MPEG2 out for your BluRay, the video is still being encoded to BluRay format -- so it's not more efficient to create an MPEG2 BluRay.
In fact, since all BluRay players can play H.264 video and since H.264 is a more advanced codec, it makes much more sense to go with this codec for all BluRay discs. -

What are the computer operating systems involved? Are you installing from installation files (from online download purchase) or from installation disc
(from purchase in boxed packaging)? Answers to those questions would probably get you the best possible answer to your question.
If installation files.....
You are not going to be able to install a Premiere Elements Windows purchased serial number on a Mac computer or a Premiere Elements Mac
purchased serial number on a Windows computer.
If installation discs...
Box packaging typically comes with two installation discs....one for Windows and one for Mac. In this type of situation, typically you use one
serial number for them both. If that is the case, then the following applies...
Adobe allows you to use the same purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computers. And, you do not use them at the same time.
If you are dealing with two computers with the same operating system, then you should be able to use that same purchased serial number for that operating system on no more than 2 of your computers. Again, you do not use them at the same time.

Adobe Premiere Elements 9 "No Disk" Error
Please help! I have used PE9 for several months. I tried to open PE9 and I get an error message in a dialog box titled: Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - No Disk. "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR3."
I try clicking on cancel, Try Again, Continue, but the dialog box continues to show after hundreds of clicks. I cannot use my PE9 at all.

How do I install Premiere Elements 9 on my iMac?
I cannot install Premiere Elements 9 on my new iMac from the DVDs I own and successfully used to install Premiere Elements 9 on my old PC with Windows 7. The DVD auto-ejects and I get 5 warnings ("WARNING; Payload cannot be installed due to dependent operation failure") and 16 error messages of various cryptic content.
I successfully installed Photoshop Elements 9 from the second DVD. Note that the installation process for Premiere Elements 9 did not request a serial number.Bob
Disc 2 Mac. This is Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content and does not require or ask for a serial number. As I have said, you do not install the Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content until after you have installed Premiere Elements 9 Mac program from Disc 1 Mac. If you have not installed the Premiere Elements 9 Mac program, you do not install Premiere Elements 9 Mac Content yet.
Both Photoshop Elements 9 Mac and Premiere Elements 9 Mac programs are installed from Disc 1 Mac, one at a time and each have its own unique serial number. These serial numbers are found as stickers on the back of the plastic case that house the 4 disc set.
There is no Photoshop Elements 9 Mac Content disc. Its content comes within the installation of the program. I have never run into the situation where Content disc asked for a serial number.
Just a point of clarification on what I wrote in post 1...I have cited Disc 1, 2, 3, and 4. In reality, the discs read as follows
Disc 1 Mac. For Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 programs on Mac.
Disc 2 Mac For Premiere Elements 9 Content Mac...to be used only after the program is installed from Disc 1.
Disc 1 Windows. For Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 programs on Windows.
Disc 2 Windows. For Premiere Elements 9 Content Windows...to be used only after the program is installed from Disc 1.
Bottom Line:
You need a unique serial number for each of Premiere Elements 9 and Photoshop Elements 9. Do you have them?
But, remember...
Photoshop Elements 9 Mac and Photoshop Elements 9 Windows have the same serial number
and
Premiere Elements 9 Mac and Premiere Elements 9 Windows have the same serial number which is different for that used by Photoshop Elements.
Do you have these serial numbers? If so, use Disc 1 Mac to try to install Premiere Elements 9 on your iMac with your purchased Premiere Elements 9 serial number. I cannot assure the compatibility of Premiere Elements 9 Mac with your iMac but those considerations go beyond an installation considerations.
Please review and consider. I hope that you are OK with the details.

I have installed Premiere Elements 11 from a disc I bought from Amazon. I keeps asking me to re-install or if it does start stops a few minutes after I start a project. I have a windows 8.1 PC. I have tried numerous times to install the program and also to open it as Administrator as suggested by a friend but it still refuses to work.
