Installing Project 2013 on multiple computers

If Project 2013 is installed on a laptop, and later that laptop is replaced, can the same license be used on a new laptop, if the original project installation is uninstalled?

Hi,
As far as I can understand from this
blog, Office 2013 products (such as Project) are now transferable.
Hope this helps,

I have the Creative Cloud membership. Can I install an app on multiple computers? I wouldn't use the app on different computers at the same time.

You can install on as many machines as you like, but the account can only ever be active on 2 machines at any given time. If you need to move to anotehr machine, you need to sign out with a full deactivation on one of the two machines in use.

  • Acrobat XI no longer works after installing Project 2013

    Hello All,
This one is really odd and I can't find any documentation anywhere.  I have a client that has Office 2010 and Acrobat XI Standard.  I just installed Project 2013 on the machine and now right clicking on any Office file will not show the option
to create PDF.  He can right-click on a Project file and create one but not on any other Office file.  I have never seen this before.  Any thoughts?
    Regards,
    Rob Battaglia

Yes I have - no luck.  This system is using Office 2010 x64 and Project 2013 x64.  This all happened after installing Project.  The right click on a file works for Project just not for Office.  I did check to make sure the add-in was
present for both Excel and Word - PDFMaker.dll is selected in both and the user can create PDF files from within Word and Excel - just not when right-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer.

  • Install cisco connect on multiple computers

    Hello all,
I've installed the cisco connect software on my laptop because I thougt it was only for the installation of the router. But now I found that you can also change settings with the software.
So I want to install the software on my desktop pc. But everytime I start up the software it wants to set up my router for the first use.
Isn't is possible to install the software on multiple computers?
    Greetings,

I was interested in installing this utility on more than on PC at home so I called Cisco tech support. Let me tell you Cisco's customer service quality is not what it used to be. The rude representative who I ended up talking to said, I cannot install Cisco Connect on more than one PC. Then she kept telling me my free tech support 90 day period is over. Once I heard that, I forgot why I'd called them in the first place as it hasn't been even 30 days since I bought the router.
Anyways, next day I tried to chat with Cisco support. First person said I can then since I had lost my confidence, I chatted again and this time the second person I chatted with told me "YES you can install it on more than one PC". Honestly, I don't trust them and have to continue my research. I am very interested in the answer.

It IS long, but it is neccessary you get all the info. NOTE: the emails shown FIRST are actually the emails recieved and sent LAST Go down the page untill you see a block of white space with words saying "END OF EMAIL SECTION" and go up from there. IF you don't want the chunks of info, go to the first email you see below for the catch to the whole deal of putting it on multiple computers for free. Otherwise a summerized and refined steps list is shown below the "END OF EMAIL SECTION" notice. I do recommend you at LEAST look at the last email here (shown below). an explanation of the last email (shown below) is at the end of the post.

In this matter, I will quote you the terms and conditions of the mac app store that the Mac OS X Lion is bound by,  Apps from the Mac App Store may be used on any Macs that you own or control for personal use. You may be asked for your Apple ID and password the first time you use an app. You won't have to provide them again unless you use the app on a different computer.
Since you are indicate that there will be no use or control and then no it would be a violation of the terms and condition, if there was some personal use well then it would meet the conditions  If you have any further questions, please let me know and I would be more than happy to address them for you.

Chris here again, from the iTunes Support team. I want to thank you for your quick response.
First off any computer this applies too needs to have the Mac App store on it, to share the app that you purchased  you will need to log into the account that you first purchased Mac OS X Lion on in the first place to and then redownload the app onto the new computer and install it. This applies  to any app that you wish to share on another computer.
Apps from the Mac App Store may be used on any Macs that you own or control for personal use. You may be asked for your Apple ID and password the first time you use an app. You won't have to provide them again unless you use the app on a different computer or there is an update.
This does not apply to purchasing other apps as you can have multiple account on one compute, once again, the only exception would be if there was an update, then you will be require to provided the username and password of the account that the app in this case Mac OS X Lion was purchased on.
I hope that I have been able to clarify things for you.  If you have any further questions, please let me know and I would be more than happy to address them for you.

So wait. To download other apps I wouldn't have to be logged into the computer using the initial os lion accounts I'd? If I get lion and i log into the other computer and select install from the purchase history, after authorizing of course, I won't have to log into my account, the one initially used to buy and install lion, to buy and install other apps onto the other computer?

Moving forward,  I understand that you would like to get some answers about installing OS X - Lion onto another computer. I can definitely appreciate how eager you are to get some answers to your questions. I would be happy to assist you today in this matter.
I do first need to mention that I was unable to open the link that you have provided  and thus unable to address any concerns related to that discussion.
You can redownload any apps including Lion that  you have purchased from the Mac App Store without incurring additional charges.
To learn how to redownload apps on the Mac App Store, please refer to the steps in this article:
Mac App Store: Backing up your app purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4482
If you continue to have difficulty downloading any applications, please reply to let me know or consult this article:
    Troubleshooting the Mac App Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3624
So in summary, yes after you have initially downloaded it you can then goto another computer that you have access to and redownload it and install it there. That computer will have to be apart of your authorized computers which again is up to 5 authorized machines at one time per account. This is shared with iTunes so five maximum for both, as far as what I believe the store rep meant fur OS updates you would need to log into the account the OS was purchased to get upgrades.
Other than taking up one of the authorized computers this should have no other affect on your purchasing ability. If you have any issues with this or more questions, please let me know and I would be more than happy to address them for you.

INITIAL EMAIL SENT: by me to apple representative
: So I had questions about os lion. Here is what an apple store representative told me.

(note) for some reason this link doesn't work...
    sorry for the gigantic link....
Basically, to download on multiple macs without buying 3 times I would :
    1. buy and install on my mac
    2. log into my account (the one i bought lion on)
    3. authorize my account for use on my parent(s)' computer(s) (do i need to do this? didn't get this question answered)
    4. either check purchase history for os lion or click buy now while logged into the account I initially bought it with and install on that computer
From what i've gathered from the store representative I've found that I need to use the account I got lion under for any further purchases on that computer. Is this true? If so does it affect iTunes at all (buying music and such)?
Are these steps valid and legal? There has been talk about doing it like this
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15676536#15676536
here is a discussion on the matter.
    END OF EMAIL SECTION
    HERE ARE THE SUMMERIZED STEPS:
    1. go ahead and buy/download os lion on the account of your choice (make sure you know that this account needs to be used whenever you want to download os lion on multiple computers)
    2. before going on, perhaps backing up the installer file upon completion of download would be good. This applies to people who have spotty internet as the installer file apparently disappears (self destructs) after installation but you can always re-download for free using the account initially used to install/buy/download.
    3. Go to the computer you wish to install os lion on. Open up itunes then log into itunes using the same account that you used to purchase lion on. then go to the store tab at the top left of the screen (there should be an apple symbol, then iTunes in bold then there should be a tab further along the right side called store. and, under that, go to authorize this computer. If you do this and it says it's already authorized then thats good.
    4. Open up the mac app store. Log into the account used to initially purchase lion. Go to purchase history and click install.
Now here is the catch. According to an email sent by an apple representative for the mac app store, there are limiations:
"This is what i had said before receiving the email: what i mean is that the computers in question belong to family members and not to me. I would not use them."
Thank you very much for being part of the iTunes Store family, Dylan, and I hope you have a great day.
This means that if you are not using this method for personal use on your OWN computer it is a violation of terms of service. For example: there is a feature in OS lion that allows you to drag and drop files from one computer with lion to another computer with lion. If you were to do that so you could store files on another family members computer (and then proceed to access them now and then) it is ok.

yes you would have to log onto her computer using your own apple id if you want it to update (assuming your id was the one downloading lion) and no for the second question. The itunes Representative said it shouldn't have any impact on your purchasing ability.....
By the way, i don't think you're allowed to install lion on your friend's computer. Unless you are using it for yourself. As the rep said "if there was some personal use well then it would meet the conditions." so if you were to transfer, say, pictures for storage on your friend's computer then i think it'd be fine.

  • Install Creative Cloud on multiple computers

I wish to install Creative Cloud on two of my computers. I plan on upgrading my laptop sometime this year. Is it possible to unistall Creative Cloud from my old laptop and install it onto my new laptop or would I have to purchase another license?

    Hi JakeMelara,
Yes, you can install and activate Creative Cloud desktop applications on two computers, regardless of operating system.
You can deactivate the product from the old machine and can reinstall on the new machine.
You can deactivate your installation by opening one of the programs, such as Photoshop CC, and choosing Help>Sign out [Your email address].
Please let us know if that was helpful.

  • Install and set-up multiple computers

I work at a school with a classroom of 21 computers running Final Cut Studio and Logic Pro. We updated to Leopard this year, with only a couple problems, but my coworker was told by a Genius at the local Apple store that we really needed to do a clean install, not an upgrade, especially with the pro apps. A few computers have some quirks, which is making me think I might do a clean install over the semester break. My question is:
Is there an efficient and easy way to install Leopard, FCP and Logic on 21 computers? I think this would involve something like 87 install DVDs... I guess what I'm thinking of is cloning one hard drive and then copying it to the next, etc....
As you can see, our school doesn't offer any "tech" support, so that's why I'm coming here. Thanks a lot!

If you setup an "archtype" for each type of computer, PPC, Intel mainly, I think that will be enough. The amount of RAM is unimportant but must be enough to meet the specs in order to run Leopard.
The only other items might be the graphics cards, but if you get 90% of the computers running using a few archtypes, then you can do the others manually.

  • Install Logic Pro on multiple computers?

My situation is that I plan to install LP on both my Macbook, which I have now, and a iMac, which I have not purchased yet. I am always using my own Apple ID on my macbook. However, I won't be the only one using the iMac and hence we will probably create a separate Apple ID just for the iMac.
I've read a few other forums and what I've gathered is that LP functions like any other application in the sense that as long as the computer is logged into my Apple ID, I can download whatever apps I bought in the past for free. However, for this to work, does the iMac need to be always logged in to my apple ID? (because that's what I don't want...since other people are using the iMac as well!)
In other words, does this mean that if I purchase LP on my macbook using my Apple ID, I can go to the iMac, log into my Apple ID, install LP for free, then sign back into the other Apple ID (the one that LP was NOT purchased on)?
I'm just having a hard time understanding this because it doesnt seem right to me that such an expensive app would be so easily available through 'free downloads' through my Apple ID.
Alternatively, should I create a new apple ID on my Macbook, purchase LP, then when I get the iMac, sign in to that new apple ID and use it? However, if I do that, would LP be able to be used on my Macbook, then? If I log out and go back to my orginal Apple ID?
    I'm very confused :/
    SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!

    nathanielmah wrote:
So what you're saying that I can have multiple users on the iMac logged into separate Apple IDs, and that I can use LP on my user account, yes? However, I have family members who would like to use LP as well on the iMac while at the same time not wanting to use my Apple ID.
    You're right

Would the solution then be to have separate users - each user logged into different apple IDs (is that even possible?) - and then install LP on my user account through my apple ID and then make the application accessible to both users?

  • Can I install on multiple computers?

Where can I find the license agreement that states whether or not I'm able to install Snow Leopard on multiple computers?

The license agreement on the media is generic and has clauses covering both the single-user and "family pack" versions. The Family pack packaging and inserts identify them as such and grant you license to install the software on up to 5 Apple-branded computers that you control.
With OS X Lion, the terms are changed. Per the App Store and OS X Lion license agreement, you may make one purchase of Lion and install on "each Apple-branded computer running OS X Snow Leopard or Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server that you own or control" (i.e., there is no limit to the number of upgrades from one copy).

  • Adobe Acrobat XI CC installs on multiple computers at school

I am having trouble installing Acrobat XI on multiple computers at our school. I have used the packager but it does not install Acrobat because it is in the Exceptions folder and needs to be installed first. So we are installing it using the AcrobatPro.msi file but it is manual install that asks the user for a trial or serial key edition. Our serial key does not work and the trial will ask us every 30 days for reactivation I am assuming. I want to create an install that will get the job done without questions and licensed.

    Hi undbr,
If you do not want to uninstall the apps already installed then I would suggest you to simply serialize the app using prtk and try to launch Acrobat.
