Installing QT Pro on new machine

I purchased QT Pro on a previous PowerBook G4, but now have a new MacBook Pro. QT 10 (118) is preinstalled. When I try to download QT 7 Pro, it won't complete the install with a message that QT 10 already exists on this machine. There is no "Register" menu item in QT Player 10, so how can I get my QT PRO on this new machine?

Do you know if Apple is going to release a Pro version of QT10?
Only Apple would know and they never tell. (I.e., this is a peer-to-peer user forum.) It more than likely will depend on what Apple eventually considers to be in its best corporate interests. In the meantime, remember that QT 7 Pro is the product of more than a decade of development while QT X is basically still in its infancy. Most of us are simply waiting to see what directions the technology will take as it evolves over the next decade. (Actually, I am wondering what changes may appear in QT under Lion when released.)

If you have the disks for the softwares you can simply put that into the MAC and start the installation from it.

Installing visio pro in new device.

As far as I know, for Visio Pro for Office 365, it allows each user to install Visio on up to five PCs. So if you only installed Visio on one machine so far, then you can go ahead to install Visio on other machines without uninstalling the existing
installation.
Just download and install Visio on the new machine, then activate it with the same Microsoft account that associated with this subscription.

Reinstalling Logic pro onto new machine

I have Logic pro originally with XS key now I want to install it on a new machine but dont have the original disc lost in a house move. Have the serial number and the key but using Migration assistant transfers but wont open also tried copying the application directly from and to the respective app's folders, same cant message... I was just going to write about this as well! I have moved reacently and have a new mbp. I want to move my logic 9 studio to my mbp instead of my imac. I have all my keys/Serial #'s just can't find my disks for 9. Now I found my Logic 8 disks but can't install that b/c it does not work with Lion. Is there anyway to just transfer it from my imac?

I suggest starting over. Boot into Recovery mode, wipe the HD, reinstall the OS, and, on first boot, use the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide to do the migration.'

I own Acrobat XI Pro. I installed it on my new machine, but cannot start it because Acrobat says that the serial number I have doesn't match the software. What should I do next? Can' find any FAQ's on this.

I would really prefer not to reload all 850 CDs, and redownload the 56 movies from iTunes.
Is there something that changed in 64 Bit iTunes ? years ago, iTunes would sometimes boot and really want to find the music under Documents and Settings..... but that seemed to sort itself out.

Problem Installing XP Pro on New Hard Drive

Hi,
I 'm trying to install xp pro on a new Hard Drive and, following formatting, a RED slider went across the screen and a message; re-starting remove any disc from drive 'A' . At that point the screen went blank and hard drive light was lit. I took the xp disc out the CD drive and re-started I now get a screen asking me to shift-tab to display network boot option menu,at which point it is frozen ! Help please

Shutting down is normally - still - a sign of the processor turning itself off to protect itself. It's not alive long enough in BIOS, to make you see the temp?

Fredrik, The difference between home and shop, I keep the PC in a PC stand at ground level. I could improve its position slightly however, it has been sighted there for aroung eighteen months! The shop guy didn't seem overly concerned by the 49c temp, (he thought the fan was ok) which increased to around 56c with 1.5gb ram installed. When i tried to get into bios I was probably too late hitting delete key has it went to windows scan! After the problems I'd had last week with my original hard drive I didn't want to take any more risk's! Its seems obvious the cpu temp is affected with the extra ram, any ideas?

Got an update and a new PC, do I need to install both on the new machine?

I have cs5 on a laptop that I am destroying. I bought a new tower and have an upgrade to 5.5. I downloaded 5.5 to the new machine, (thinking I could just put in both serial #'s) but now it tells me I can't use the update on the new machine because it can't find the old copy. Does this mean I have to download CS5 to the new machine and THEN update to 5.5? if so isn't that just a huge waste of space on my machine? I have both serial #'s. thoughts?

Typcially the program asks for the older serial number as I understand it (I have not done an install this way). Actually 5.5 is an update to 5 I think. Thus you would need the number of the prior version, not the 5 version. At least those are my thoughts.

Installing CS3 Upgrade on new machine? CS2 registered user on old machine

I was wondering if I would be able to install a CS3 Upgrade on a new iMac I plan to purchase....I have a fully registered CS2 version on my current iMac, so therefore I think I'd be eligible to only purchase the upgrade...but would I need to install CS2 on the new iMac first, then the upgrade? Would doing this affect the upgrade because of multiple activations on CS2?

Just install CS3. During the installation you'll be asked for some proof
of eligibility. You need either the CS2 installation disk or the serial
number, but make sure you have both handy.

How Can I install Solaris on a new Machine

I'm not familier with any sun products.
When I tried to install the Solaris 8.0 on a new Sparc Machine I couldn't make the system to boot from CDROM.
In response of my command :
boot CDROM -s
I recieved this messgae:
Can't open boot device

I also have the same problem.
I have access to the Ultra 60 console. At OK prompt type in "boot cdrom". The system evaluate the CD and respond "can't open boot device"

i recently purchased a new mac that does not have a disc drive. i'd like to install adobe acrobat from the disk that i purchased with my old computer. how do i do this? possible to get a download code to do from online?

You could copy the contents of that DVD to a Flash drive and then copy those contents from the Flash drive to your desktop of your new Mac. You could also download the ESD (Electronic Service Download ) of your version of Acrobat from the links below and then install it.
