Installing Recent Ipod Update - Now it doesnt work - CD and Cable Picture

Please help!
I was installing Recent Ipod touch Update 1.1.2 I think. It all downloaded and started installing, and then for some unknown reason just stoped and said it couldnt continue. So i thought i would unplug and try again. However, it now wont let me do anything. The ipod touch screen now has a picture of a cd and the ipod cable which i cannot get rid of and when i plug it in, my computer doesnt even recognise it is pluged in. Help!
Any help on how i get out of this mess would be fantastic.

Unless your running Itunes 7.6 (the latest) then Uninstall your current Itunes through add/remove in Xp or whatever way they do it on a Mac and then when you have a fresh copy of Itunes 7.6 installed do the following.
1. Turn iPod Touch OFF completely.
2. Plug iPod Touch into PC/MAC while still of.
3. Turn iPod touch on, then IMMEDIATELY do the following steps
4. Hold the 'Home button' and 'sleep/wake' button together for atleast 5 seconds.
5. The Apple logo will appear
6. When this happens release the 'sleep/wake' button BUT KEEP HOLD OF 'HOME' BUTTON
7. Your iPod will reboot (Apple logo)
6. iTunes will recognise iPod in 'Recovery mode'
8. You will be able to 'restore' your iPod Touch now.

DR8-A2 flashed by Live update, now it doesnt work

When i re-installed my system, i used Live update to update all my drivers. I also came acros an update for an Atapi 8Xdvd-r, i thought it where drivers, so 'installed' them. But while 'installing' i discoverd it was flashing instead of a driver update. After the flashing it gave an error that it coulndt write to the drive. After closing down the flashing utility my system crashed, and wasn't able to boot until i pulled the power cord out of my Dvd drive. I found firmware for the DR8-A2, but how to flash it, i tried it in windows text command mode, but when i reconnected the drive, i directly received an error . Anyone an idea what to do?Well, sorry to tell you this, but you damage your drive.
If I was you, I'll download the appropriate firmware and run it in safe mode (if you can), and if not, you'll have to run it with a startup disk (win98) and then run the flash utility.
If none af the above mentioned work, then you'll have to buy another drive.

hi, firstly my ipod touch is working fine in itunes. i reformated my computer so i lost all my old drivers ect ect, so now my ipod shows up as an image device. i have reinstalled itunes several times and installed apple mobile device but still doesnt work, i have also searched for the usbappl or whatever it is and i cant find it, i have usbappl .dll but no .sys or .inf please help
All it is supposed to show up as in Windows is an image device.
If it's working fine in iTunes, what is the issue? -
i updated my ipod ,but before it work completely the screen turn blue,then white and now it doesnt work even if it charge. So, what do i do? My itunes stops working after I try to sync it, I recently just updated my itunes to 10.4 and my ipod touch 4g to 4.3.4

Try resetting the phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release. -
i updated my mac mini and now it doesnt work it goes to load the os x but fails and just turns it self off!

Recent software update ,now limewire doesn't work

Software update popped up today just a safari and java update, cliked update
now limewire wont work, i tried to open, but it "jumps" once then stops. and nothing happens.
from what searching i did do, I'm guessing java is the problem :S
is there anyway i can undo the update

trying to install the newest version of itunes on my pc and am getting "program cant start because msvcr80.dll is missing from your computer" reinstalling doesnt work. and then it says error 7 (windows error 126). Any help would be appreciated. Using Windows 7 enterprise on an hp Z600
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

My iphone is only 6 months old and I am experiencing the same problems. I have already had to have the phone swapped once with a phone that has a blown speaker. (The apple store is 2.5hours away so I havent been able to go back to replace the replacement) Since I did the ios 5 update, my phone says NO SERVICE and drops calls. It was speratic but last night, same ERROR message as you. As you know, if forces you to restore which caused me to loose valuable information and documents. insert loud profanity here _________. lol

If you change the email address associated with your Apple ID there are a number of places that have settings that need to be changed. One is in the Messages application. This article explains how to make those changes -

I installed an iTunes update on my Windows Vista Laptop and iTunes wouldn't start saying it was missing MSVCR80.dll, now when I start Outlook it is going on about a mobileme error? Any advice? I'm tempted to not use iTunes ever again.

Logic's preference files may have become corrupted:
1. Quit Logic Pro
2. In the Finder, press and hold down the "option" key then select "Library" from the "Go" menu
3. Open the "Preferences" folder
4. Drag the following files to the Trash:
- com.apple.logic.pro.cs
- com.apple.logic.pro.LSSharedFileList.plist
- com.apple.logic.pro.LSSharedFileList.plist.lockfile
- com.apple.logic.pro.plist
- com.apple.logic.pro.plist.lockfile
These files will be re-created when Logic is next opened.
