in past there were more SAP NetWeaver demo systems available for linux. However with current "cloud push" SAP's strategy they do not exits anymore. What you can check at the moment is following:

I dont have an Export DVD of Netweaver 7.00 EHP3. I just downloaded the application from SDN and I got this files (IMAGE) after descompressed.
I started the installation from beginning. This is not an upgrade of system. Its my first time that I install this application.

Error when installing SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Trial

Hello,
I have tried several times to install "SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Trial".
But i always get an error during install.
I get this error:
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System
( Last error reported by the step :Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 2. For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log.
My System specs are:
Windows XP Professional SP3
2GB RAM
JRE 1.5.0_22 or JRE 1.4.2 (i have tried both)
Maybe there is a problem with the correct file size of "Part 2 file" on the [download location|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/f03b3428-91e5-2d10-5fae-9afaad060b0c]
The file size of "part 2 file" should be:
"SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Trial Version Part 2 (1.838.392.707 bytes)".
But my file size is always only "1.837.289.009 bytes".
I have tried to download the file with 3 different browsers on two different computers.

Install License Key for SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition.

Hello.
I have two installations of the SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition (on desktop and laptop). After the expiration of the original 30 days license; now I need to install the extended License (90 days). I am using SLICESE transaction from SAP* user account to install the new license. I have got the "License Key" from SAP website. However, the installation of the new License Key fails to complete successfully (it fails to add the new license key) and ends with an error prompt. This problem is happening on both systems! Has anyone experienced such problem? What did you do to fix it?
Note: no errors in typing in the new Key, as I used the copy and paste!

Thanks again for your help. I found out that if you try to install the new license key (first time) with any error (such as wrong expiration date), it will fail as "invalid key", naturally. However, the subsequent attempts also continues to fail despite the fact that the correction are made. the only way I could fix this was to stop and restart the SAP Application server and make sure that the first attempt has typos. It seems to me that once an error flag is set, it is not removed unless the server is restarted. well, the problem is fixed now and thank you for your help.

i was trying to install the SAP Netweaver 7 ABAP Trail version. i successfully configured the Mslookup Adapter.
After that, when i click the installer, it checked for the java virtual machine and then prompted the following message
The installer had to update some MicroSoft runtime libraries.
For correct operation, a system reboot is required. Do you want to reboot now?
i choose yes and then it rebooted. Then again when i start the installer, it asks for reboot. If i click no, it terminates the installation. I'm fed up with this.. Can someone help me out of this ?

Issue Regarding SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP

Recently I have downloaded SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 trial SP6 32-bit and installed on my machine.Despite having met all the systems requirments and settings I am not able to work with Web Dynpro for ABAP. At the beginning it asks for activating some services using t-code SICF. There is one service path which it ask to activate do not exist in the service hierarchy due to which I am not able to load the view designer. Please can anyone suggest me any solution to solve this problem?
My next issue with the same version of NetWeaver is that it provides only Airline Database tables and tcodes. If I tried to work with some other applications like SD, MM, FI the system prompts me the message saying the specified t-code or table in ABAP dictionary does not exist.My question is which version of NetWeaver would help me get fullfledged IDES system? Please if anyone aware of it kindly help me. Currently I am downloading SAP NetWeaver Application Servicer ABAP 7.03 SP04 trial 64-bit. My only problem is I should get to work with Web Dynpro ABAP and with other applications ie SD, MM, FI and not limited to only Flight Database. Which version of SAP NetWeaver would provide me fullfledged IDES System?

Can you specify what is path in TA SICF that needs to be activated and it not present in your test NetWeaver ABAP system? As per documentation it is service called: /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro please double check if it is present in your installation.
To your 2nd point. Actually none of test versions of NetWeaver have applications like SD, FI, .. installed in. As you said you need to have full flown SAP ECC installation or IDES system to run those. There are some companies out there which offer IDES access. However some of them are not SAP partners and their services are most likely illegal. Be careful while dealing with such a sites.

I've read your entrys.
Saw that the solution is missing.
It can be found in the manuals:
1. Download the "Registry Clean Tool for SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and use it.
2. Download the latest Version of "SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP" and un-rar it.
3. Install the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" an activate it.
4. Retry to install.
Summary:
So the error 200 was caused for the first time from trying an installation without a Loopback Adapter, and after that from trying to re-install without cleaning the registry.
Now its working fine.

That does not automatically start your instance. Have a look at the shortcuts SAP installed in your startmenu. There's both a startscript and a stopscript.

GUI error on SE80 in SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition

I have SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition installed on WinXP. one problem is that when I run T-code SE80 (Object Navigator) the middle section of the left part of the screen (where it would normally allows you to select object type for display) is not painted. it is just a block of white space! Other parts of the screen seems to work fine (both Top and Bottom sections). Has anyone had such problem? What can I do to fix it? Thank you for your help

Hi,
I'm using SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit - Developer Edition on which I have installed the License Key (using http://www.sap.com/minisap page). On this system I'm trying to install the BI Content 7.04, but I have some problems because I still get "no valid maintenance certificate found for system".
Is it possible to install the package on the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit ? What do I have to do to install this package?
I have installed the maintenance license (using SLICENSE). The is from http://www.sap.com/minisap page. After installing the new license, the status it is a green square which indicate that the licenses it is OK.
After installing the maintenance licenses do I need to do something ?

I dont know about the developer version which sap has shared but after the application of maintainence certificate you need to install that add on using saint.Thanks.

Hallo to all.
First of all I have to thank to all people that help me during the installation of "SAP NetWeaver 04s ABAP".
I'm now able to develop ABAP Applications at home.
But Ive also a new problem which I couldnt solve yet.
when I'm try the F1 - Help no help files appear. I only get the message: "There are no help files available".
I've looked the whole SAP "NetWeaver 04s ABAP" .rar File for the help files but I did not found them.
Are in this version no help files? Or is there a possibility to download the files and integrate them to "SAP NetWeaver 04s ABAP".
If someone has an idea, please post it.
