Installing Sirius open-source intelligent assistant for Ubuntu on Arch

I'm looking to install Sirius an open-source intelligent personal assistance similar to Apple's Siri or Microsoft Cortana http://sirius.clarity-lab.org/. As of now all of the install scripts and packages are set for Ubuntu. What would be the best way to install this on Arch?

This is the information I needed. Thanks. I have asked because I really didn't know the reason nor could find why it was not on [community]. I thought about non-free dependencies, security issues or whatever, but I really didn't know.

I don't care particularly for this package or for any other...I just picked up an use case which (partially) fails because (1) you can't know in advance how long it will take, (2) system can hangup (it just did!) and then you loose the partially compiled package, (3) the future upgrades will be bloody as well.

Installed it and built "Hello, world" extension, now trying to convert my existing extension project for this. Packaging CS5 / CS6 versions alone is priceless.
Maybe a dumb question, but is it possible to switch .json and output name in command line? I have extension with 5 different versions, they have different licenses etc., so it would be great to type
csxs package config1.json extension1.zxp
csxs package config2.json extension2.zxp
and so on? I'd put it all into one .sh script

Open Source project - request for interest

Hi,
I know this may not be the most appropriate place for this but I couldnt find anywhere else. The project is due to start up in early 2006. The technology is Java based and supports J2EE. It enables developers to work at a high level and generate apps very quickly and more complex functionality can be built using Java to address requirements.
I thought I would post this here for anyone interested in participating in a new Open Source project for a Java development tool.
I apologise in advance if anyone gets upset over this post - but I thought Java developers should be aware of the project.

Hi experts,
I would be obliged if anyone could kindly let me know some open source file/folder upload tools which can be used free of cost and source files of which could be edited and used for customization.
Need to integrate this tool with a php site. I hope multiple folder/file upload tools are best developed and made available only in java.

Why Adobe doesn't use the open source codec x264vfw for Elements as .AVI?

Well we all know who wants to work with the x264vfw that it does not work in Premiere Elements.
But i think Adobe could have make it work with the open source x264vfw or with the AVC-Intra coder.
I am still asking me also why it would work when i do re-encode it with another program to h264 again but as MP4?
Adobe does itself make it really easy and messing with us. because they are saying there is support for h264 but only for MP4 and another one...
Why they don't add .AVI support that goes to the support of Adobe because i can't get into the livechat.... because its only under the week....
This Codec the H264 X264 and AVC-1 are the most used codecs today in my opinion so i don't know why they don't sit their Dev's on that.
ALSO that it does not work on their 600$ Application named Premiere Pro is something that i don't understand...
For me its unbelievable if i am honest.
I now want to know why adobe is such a service desert in this point.
They all yelling about that but Adobe does nothing.
If somebody knows a solution without re-encoding or FFMPEG solution, because it does not work well with my Variable Frame Rate in Premiere Elements let it me know.
Also i want an Answer from Adobe why they don't do anything.
I tried to put the x264vfw .dll into plugins or the folder but the problem is not solved.
I am sitting for Quiet a time behind that and see how many threads there existing... and it's only frustrating.

Need information on open source testing tools for ADF web applications

Hi experts,
I need to investigate on new feasible open source Java testing tools for testing ADF web applications. I have tried to google a lot but getting confused.
My requirements as as under:
1. The tool must be open source.
2. It should be easy to understand and to work upon by the tester and developers.
Selenium based testing approach is already in place for testing the application but need to search for tools other than Selenium which shall prove suitable for testing ADF applications. Kindly let me know your inputs / suggestions.

Whats the best open source verilog simulator for T1 regressions?

Is Icarus good for this? Or, is there any other better than this.

I personally saw many uses of mySQL in production environments.
Generally speaking, lots of open-source solutions are being successfully used by lots of companies in their production environments, and the idea that they are somehow inferior to commercial solutions has no base in facts, in my view.

Open sourcing the skype for linux UI AGAIN

i remember from some time ago i read something about the skype for linxu UI being open sourced to make supporting linux distro easier. but then microsoft bought skype. and now there is a closed source UI. please open source the UI so the comunity can fix the broken UI in skype for linux to a proper qt interface. the current qt web interface is annoying

It should look the same as all the other apps. Which is what most Linux users expect. Qt does offer on-the-fly theming, so if someone feels adventurous they can change it; and indeed the lack of 64 bit often results in some missing themes and Skype running in not exactly the same theme as the rest of the desktop. But otherwise, we shouldn't make Skype4Linux stick out like a sore thumb.

ThanksGrid control or database control will do this for you, there is a rather big however, er however. Being notified is a part of the diagnostics pack functionality (ludicrously and unjustifiably IMO). That means a license cost (unless you are already licensed for it). nagios does this as others have said as do shell scripts. I'm not aware of an open source tool that does all you want without scripting though.

Is there any reporting system like crystal report or any thing for report generation. Using JTable class it is so time taking job. I have downloaded Eclipse with crystal report embedded, and have created a report but can not integrate the report with JFrame with any menu item action. Just installed ilife11cannot open iPhoto always asking for updates when checked no updates available only had this computer a week i am not impressed

PCIe has been an intra-system connection interface of choice for quite a while now, offering a standardized and well-understood way to move large amounts of data quickly between, for example, a host CPU and an FPGA. Efficient, high-speed PCIe screams for DMA and if that’s what you need, the latest version of RIFFA 2.2 (Reusable Integration Framework For FPGA Accelerators) is now posted on GitHub and includes DMA IP you might want for your current or your next design.
RIFFA 2.2 employs communication channels between software threads running on a CPU and hardware user cores instantiated on an FPGA. A channel is similar to a network socket in that it must be opened before it can be read and written. Then it must be closed. However, unlike a network socket, channel reads and writes be made simultaneous by using two threads. Each channel is independent and thread-safe. RIFFA 2.2 supports as many as twelve channels.

I'm from germany so no 'best buy' but I think I will lock around sleeve/bag for a different product with same measures. Any tip?
The clear plastic case is not what I want. I would like to use the player without such protections. I just want a sleeve to protect the player while its in my jacket/pants.
