Installing SkyDrive Pro

Hi there, I am trying to install SkyDrive Pro on my Windows 7 Entperprise SP1 desktop and am getting a problem in the shape of a "We found a problem" dialog box: We found a pre-release or Beta version of an Office product on your computer and can't
install becuase of it. Please Uninstall ... and try again".
Any ideas on where this might be coming from? We have a fairly standard MS suite of products, none of them Beta that I know of. We are trialling Office365 for roll-out to the whole University, hence my desire to be able to use SkyDrive
to acess my work folders via O365.
 Any help appreciated.

Sometimes this issue occurs when there is either a corrupt installation or remnants of a trial installation are still existing. Have you tried uninstalling using the Microsoft Troubleshooter?

  • On-premise SharePoint 2013 and SkyDrive Pro Sync Issue

    Hi all,
    I'm not sure if this is the correct forum between SharePoint and SkyDrive as the issue is related to an update on SkyDrive Pro.
    premise SharePoint 2013 installation (migrated from 2010) and Office 2013 installed. SharePoint is patched up to the latest CU. Syncing documents from SharePoint worked fine until KB2817495 was installed. The syncing still seems to work but we cannot add
    any new libraries, either directly from the browser using the "sync" button or adding the URL to "Sync a new library". I've tested it with an Office 365 account and the libraries add fine so I'm not sure whether it's a SkyDrive or SharePoint
    issue. If I uninstall the update then I can successfully sync new libraries from our on-premise installation.
    At this point the only solution I can see is to prevent that update from installing via WSUS.

    Yammer already have Single Sign On with Office 365, but SharePoint Server for on-premise does not follow a 90-day release cycle and it won’t yet. Also we are looking for Yammer integration with on-premise
     soon. There are improvements coming.

  • SkyDrive Pro and SharePoint 2010

    Why SkyDrive Pro can no longer sync SharePoint 2010 libraries? I was using Windows 8 with Office 2013 and SkyDrive Pro had no problems with synchronizing content from SharePoint 2010. Now I installed Windows 8.1 with Office 2013 and it doesn't work anymore.
    Is there any way to fix it? My colleagues (with Windows 8 and Office 2013) still can synchronize content from SharePoint 2010.

    Note that SkyDrive Pro does not support SharePoint 2010 so any issues you have with it won't be looked at by Microsoft.

  • SkyDrive PRO Error & Updates (upload center)

    First of all, i'm confused about Upload Center vs SkyDrive PRO. Are they the same? Does the other one need the other to exist?
    So I've been getting a lot of errors just trying to figure out this software: SkyDrive PRO or Upload Center.
    The error is this:
    "Upload Failed"
    "Server File Updated"
    Thats it.

    1)So what is the problem above? I have no clue. Upload failed? But the server Updated? What?

    2) Is there a consolidated version of SkyDrive PRO which has all the updates+fixes? So that we won't have to install each one in each of our enterprise's computer. OR if there is an update button in the client itself to update everything!

    According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot keep sign in Office 365 and the error occurred when syncing files using SkyDrive Pro.
    #1 To keep sign in Office 365, I recommend to go to add the following entries to the trusted sites in Internet Explorer:

    If you are using SharePoint 2010, then please understand  SkyDrive Pro is not supported with SharePoint 2010 platform since you installed KB2825633 in October,2013.
    If you are using SharePoint 2013, then please try clearing browser history, then run IE as administrator and resync the SharePoint.

  • Skydrive Pro - Credentials Not Remembered

    Skydrive Pro - from Office 2013 install - pointed at a local Sharepoint 2013 server - will not remember credentials
    Doesn't matter the combo - happens on a Windows 8 domain member computer where the credentials that are required on Skydrive are the same credentials just entered to log on to the domain
    The check box to "Remember my credentials" does not work
    Is this expected behavior ?
    Something wrong in the Sharepoint server config ?

    Does it work after you reset your IE?
    Try to logon your account to another machine and set the permission as local administrator to check the result.

  • Does anyone use Sharepoint to only host SkyDrive Pro?

    Hi all, 
    Just wondered if anyone else had put in Sharepoint 2013 with the sole purpose of using it as backend storage for SkyDrive Pro?
    We don't want the Sharepoint web site functions but really want to use the SkyDrive Pro product for "cloud sync" for personal documents
    thanks in advance.

    I already have Sharepoint installed so am comfortable to use that installation, but I don't want to put any effort into the development of the front end (Web parts, document libraries etc)
    I'm quite open to buying Office 365 if you think that will help? Although I can't see why that is relevant.

  • Standalone Skydrive Pro admin file

    Skydrive PRO was not part of my Office 2013 rollout.  I need to create an admin file for this one program to deploy to existing Office 2013 and 2007 users.  When I run setup /admin it tells me the setup files are not present.  This makes
    sense since the EXE is standalone and not part of the suite.  Any ideas? I don't even need an admin file.  I could use some flags to simply use the defaults.  I want to make this as silent as possible to the users when the run it manually.

    I remember having this issue as well.
    If I remember correctly, you can copy the admin file from the Office 2013 install to your standalone SkyDrive install folder, and re-try setup /admin

    No limit on reinstalling to the same machine, it will work fine.

    Somewhere at either Macworld or here I learned that DVDSP 2, DVDSP 3 and now DVDSP 4 "internally" are major re-writes.
    Support for HD among a few other items along with QT 7 which comes with Tiger means sincerely that one set of applications/OS is not going to be stable.
    Personally I think of all the issues possible its DVDSP vs QT.
    Unless you move to DVDSP v4 the alternative is to wipe the disk and go back to Jaguar (10.2) or perhaps Panther but avoid upgrading QT beyond 6. I advocate wiping the disk because I'n not sure an archive and install to down shift to an earlier version of the OS is possible. If it is I'd still worry about mis-matched files in all sorts of locations.

    Hello. I had to reformat my system drive and did a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and then I did an anytime upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I then re-installed Premiere Pro CS5. Here's the problem. When I open any of my projects that I worked on BEFORE I re-installed Premiere (when I was using Windows 7 Home Premium), the video files on the timeline all look corrupted when I play the timeline now. They have these weird block artifacts and also a constant pulsing thing going on. I deleted all the media cache files and all the media cache database files but, nothing changed even though Premiere conformed every single video file in the project again. Then, I went to "Sequence" and hit "Render Entire Work Area" and after Premiere was finished rendering, I noticed the artifacts and pulsing are completely gone BUT, the video files look like a VHS tape that has been recorded over a few times. The edges of people and things in focus aren't nice and sharp like they were before I re-installed Premiere. I DO NOT have the time or patience to have to delete all the video files and import them again into the project and re-edit the entire scene! Can someone please help me resolve this problem?! I am about done with Premiere!
    Is there a way to delete the video source files that are on the left side of the timeline (next to the "Source" window, where they got imported into the project) without deleting the edited video files on the timeline and then re-import the same source video files into the project, kind of like "refreshing" the video files? If this is possible, it seems like this would fix the problem without me having to re-edit everything again.
    *Update*  My idea of just re-importing the source video clip won't work either. I deleted one of the source video clips, which deleted its reference clip on the timeline, and I re-imported the video source clip to see if it would play all weird in Premiere and sure enough, it has the same exact block artifacts and pulsing effect like all the other source clips in the project. It seems that if that's the case, it might be a codec problem. But, that doesn't make sense because if I open the clip on my hard drive with Windows Media Player or Allplayer, the clips plays perfectly fine and looks like it is supposed to. So, it must be a codec problem in Premiere??? Could it be that Premiere Pro CS5 doesn't work well with Windows 7 Professional? I find that hard to believe. Can someone please help me?
    By the way, all the video clips in the project are from my Panasonic GH1 or my Panasonic GH2. They are all 1080p/24 AVCHD. I even made a new sequence within the same project making sure the sequence settings are AVCHD 1080p 24 and still nothing is fixed.

    Have you tried exporting a 10 second section of the footage to see if the issue shows up once the seqeunce is actually exported from the timeline. I edit on CS5 with windows 7 pro at work quite often and have no issues so I assure you that isn't the issue. I also edit with AVCHD footage when at home and work quite freqeuntly as well so I'm positive that isn't the issue. It sounds like a GPU driver has been corrupted in the way it interacts with premiere pro. What type of GPU do you have? If it supports MPE's GPU acceleration have you tried turning it off and seeing if that makes any difference?
    Anyways though try to export a 10 second test section of your timeline to see if when the clip is exported from premiere it will play normally in windows media player or vlc or w/e media player you want to use. If it exports fine then you can almost be positive it's a corrupted video card driver. If that's the case I'd re-install your GPU's driver and also check your gpu makers website to see if they have a updated driver avaiable.
