"Installing support for QuickTime on your computer"

Trying to use PanoramaFactory software, which requires QT support to be installed.
I cannot install the further components as the QT install file (from the US site) that I downloaded defaults automatically to not allow Custom Install. (It also installs a French version of QT7 without any prompt, though I can live with that).
The following web-page gives the instructions from PanoramaFactory for using QuickTime with their software.
http://panoramafactory.com/help/hid_qtvr.html#installing
How do I 'force' my downloaded QuickTimeInstaller.exe file (QT7.1.6) to include Custom Install when the .exe file is run?
(I have looked at the QuickTime Tools and Utilities page, http://developer.apple.com/quicktime/quicktimeintro/tools/, but cannot not find the items I need there, which are
* QuickTime Essentials
* QuickTime Internet Extras
* QuickTime Still Image
* QuickTime Authoring)
I look forward to your advice,

To the best of my knowledge, Quicktime 7 no longer offers options about which components to install. Apparently it always performs a full install. So the information on that web page appears to be obsolete.
If you're not running PanoramaFactory 4.5, try updating and see if that fixes the problem. If not, or you are running 4.5 now, try uninstalling and reinstalling QuickTime. If that still doesn't help, you'll probably need to contact PanormaFactory technical support.
Good luck.

  • Tech Support for Quicktime?

Is there a tech support for Quicktime? I need to fix my problem, or figure out how to disable quicktime. It's really causing a problem for me.

You could uninstall QT7 and re-download QT 6.5.2. I had to do that to keep watching Cisco IP-TV content in a stand-alone player.

  • Getting invalid packages when installing support for stored java objects

I am getting invalid packages notices when installing support for stored java objects in Forms 9i that can with the Oracle 9iDS Suite. In the post installation notes it says to locate a few SQL files, PLB files and a JAR file and run them. On executing the SQL package that will install the rest , I am logged in as SYSTEM as the instructions stated, I get an error when it tries to load the PLB files ( which are encrypted from Oracle). Any one else have this problem or know of a solution?
If you need more information please let me know and I will try to respond promptly.
    Thanks

The PLB package is called ORA_DE_REFLECTION. I forgot to mention this in the previous post.

  • How can I programmatically install support for DAQmx Base to a PDA?

Greetings, I am developing a LabVIEW application for a PDA (HP iPAQ in this case), and a companion VI that will run on a PC. One of the things I need to do from this companion VI is provide a means of programmatically rebuilding the PDA application, including reinstalling support for DAQmx Base. I think I know how to rebuild the LabVIEW application using the Project, but I don't see how to install DAQmx Base. What is the best way to do this?
    Thanks in advance!

How would you programatically rebuild the PDA application? If you are interested in reinstalling the DAQmx Base driver on the device, then you will need to navigate to Start»Programs»National Instruments»NI-DAQmx Base»Utilities and launch the driver installation utility that corresponds to your device. If you are interested in doing this programatically, you could run the executable from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQmx Base\Pocket PC using the System Exec.vi. I don't think there is any other way of doing this.

  • Can you install flash for me thru my computer

Can you install flash for me going thru my computer ? [email protected]

Well this could happen for any number of reasons.
It's a workaround, but you could try the download in this
    link
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash/downloads.html
Technically that's the update for the Flash authoring tool,
but if you unzip it then you'll have a full players folder that you
can install. If you're stuck after that point then open a support
    case.
Flash Player technical support is available via webcase only

There is no phone support for Flash Player.

  • Support for NVIDIA Tesla C1060 Computing Processor

I recently discovered that XFDTD, an electromagnetics simulation program, can utilize up to four NVIDA CUDA-enabled graphics cards to reduce computation time by orders of magnitude. While I have a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, I'd be interested in adding one or more TESLA cards to my early 2009 Mac Pro.
Does anyone have any information on whether or not such a card will be supported in the future? Given that Apple computers are promoted as scientific computing platforms (by Apple and myself), I think supporting such a card is must. I also understand that the manufacturers must provide support for EFI and Apple must write the drivers.
The biggest advantage the Tesla card provides over the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 and Quadro FX 4800 cards is that it has 4 GB of GDDR3 RAM, instead of the 1 GB and 1.5 GB of the other cards respectively.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/producttesla_c1060us.html
Also, does anyone know how many NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 or Quadro FX 4800 cards one can fit into a Mac Pro or if there are any versions that provide 4 GB or memory?

I would like to avoid the Windows/Dell ghetto, if at all possible. As a Unix and Mac OS X user who has spent much of his career keeping a second computer next to his primary workstation just for simulations, I am no longer interested in continuing that inconvenient and costly paradigm. Indeed, I immediately decided to purchase an XFDTD license simply for its Mac OS X support.
With that said, I understand that there are GNU/Linux solutions that support the Tesla C1060 Computing Processor, which if a solution does not exist for Apple hardware, would be the next best thing. XFDTD runs in GNU/Linux as well.
On a related note, I was told that NVIDIA engineers feel that the biggest demand for their Computing Processors is in Linux. If there are NVIDIA employees who might read this, I would like to state that Mac OS X is an extremely competent scientific computing platform and with the addition of OpenCL to the operating system both companies could benefit immensely from compatible Computing Processors. Indeed, if NVIDIA's hardware worked with EFI, I'd have ordered several already.
In October I plan to build a system to add external cards to a Mac Pro using the GTX 285 for now. Perhaps if I can build a proof-of-concept system, it will generate more interest in brining the C1060 Computing Processor to Apple hardware.

  • IPad won't charge?  Install Asus Ai Charger onto your computer and try that!

Use Asus Ai Charger to boost the power to your USB port and it should charge it then.

The iPhone charger is 5W, whereas the iPad charger is 10W.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter. When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes.

  • IS THERE ANY CUSTOMER SUPPORT FOR QUICKTIME?

I've been reading many posts that basically have the same problem: namely, quicktime doesn't properly install. In my case it happened both with the itunes + qt download and qt alone. I can't fully install qt, but then it keeps trying to update itself as long as my computer is on. It's very annoying. I have an IPod, so I need some version of qt. Microsoft at least seems to employ people to answer forum questions. I don't see anyone at Apple doing that. DOes anyone know of how to get in touch with customer support?

    Hi,
We were selling LCCS to enterprise customer under a different licensing program, but have since stopped the sale of that.
You should check out this thread - http://forums.adobe.com/message/4110049#4110049 for a discussion on this.

  • Installed update for Quicktime for Leopard.  It indicates successful installation but actually hasnt installed. Did it a few times and also deleted my existing version and all QT preferences.  Still doesnt work.  any ideas?

I have downloaded Quicktime for leopard fo rmy iMac (2 years old).  It indicated successful installation.  Then I purchased Quicktime Pro.  It didnt work.  So tried a download again. The same thing happened.  So I deleted absolutely everything including my old version of QT and also any preference files I found.  I tried again but the same thing happened.  It indicates successful installation but a search doesn't reveal anything anywhere.  I have had no previous trouble downloading any new programmes . They always install with no problem straight into applications.  there is lots of available memory.  Now I have no Quicktime whatsoever.
Any ideas anyone?  Have tried speaking to the apple call centre in India.  He couldnt understand me and vie versa.  No use at all and it cost me a fortune for the phone call.  On the phone for an hour while this chap kept going to his supervisor. Why do companies continue to use call centres overseas?

I have used Firefox since Firefox 0.7 or 0.9 but may have been 0.5. Seems like it was called something else but my memory is not that great.
Before that I used Seamonkey and other variations of Mozilla. Before that I used Netscape. I even have/had a CD that I sent off for with the different releases going all the way back to the beginning (I think).
I was a Mozilla crusader. When I saw someone using IE I would talk to them like they must be dumb until they switched haha. I have converted everyone who is close to me to firefox except my wife and I think she uses IE to irritate me.
I work on the Internet. I spend no less than 12 hours and up to 18 hours a day with my fingers touching a keyboard that is connected to a computer or phone that is interacting with the Internet. I have Firefox on my Android phone, two laptops and my desktop. All of them crash constantly.
When it crashes I lose work and time. Not to mention getting big headaches.
I am very appreciative for the browser and yes I have made money donations. Not saying that makes me good. I look at it more like I am paying for great software.
I never thought the day would come that I would say no more to Firefox. The day has come.
When Firefox first came out it was small, good and fast. As time has went on it has become big, bad and slow. I feel like I am turning my back on a good friend but i can't take the crashing any longer.
I am using Chrome now. Dang I hate to use anything google. Since I can't make my own browser I have to use what's out there and Chrome is fast. Sort of like Firefox used to be... except of course Chrome has all those phone home goodies.
I won't be trying to convert anyone to Chrome but neither will I try to convert them to Firefox.
I am not trying to start a flame war or anything here. As nuts as it sounds I felt like I should tell Firefox bye.
Bye bye Firefox. it was good knowing you

  • ATI Radeon HD 4870, support for quicktime using video card to decode h.264?

Does anyone know if Apple decided to use some of the fancy hardware in the new ATI RADEON HD 4870 to allow quicktime to shunt the h.264 decoding off to the video card?
I've got a 8 cores (and they don't seem all that busy). Even with the Perian quicktime plugin I still run into some HD movies that don't get a constant 24fps.

If the MAc Pro 2.66 comes with Snow Leopard, why would I have to upgrade my OS?
OK. So, if got the MAc version, it would work A-OK without overheating?
    Thanks for your input!

  • Problem to install itunes and quicktime on the computer

    Hi.
I had a problem to update itunes, so i did uninstall it.
But when i shall install it again, quick time started to make problems.
So i did remove that one too, now i can't install anything of it.
I was told to delet everything in my temp file, i did, but it didn't help.
Then i got problems with other things too.
Does any one have a solution for me, i would be very happy.
Can this problem also make problems for my cd-writer?
Because after this, nothing works at it should do anymore.

You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you prefer you can keep the original installation intact.  If you prefer not to then the minimum you need to do is deactivate it.

  • Installing codecs for quicktime

I downloaded some xvid movies, and when I try to play them on QT, it displays a message teling me to install the codec. I followed the link, downloaded the file, but I can't do anything with it. Do I need to move it somewhere

If you go to this link http://www.xvid.org/FAQ.14.0.html and click on FAQ at the top of the page it seems to indicate that the Xvid may not work well with QuickTime for Windows. That's about all I know about it from doing a internet search, goodluck.
