Installing system driver update for Satellite P75-A7200

I am trying to install system driver 1.01.0002, but it stops after the unpack and gives a message like "an older version is installed, uninstall the older version."  I've looked in add/remove programs and device manager, I can't find where to uninstall the old system driver.  Anyone know how to uninstall system driver? Thanks Edit: Not sure I posted in the correct forum, but I tried this after upgrading to win 10.  I'm not sure if that is related to the problem, however.

Drivers update for mobile machines is pretty limited and it is big difference between mobile machines and desktops.
Due to specific design and cooling system that machine has GPU must be under control. With new driver GPU can offer more performance but result is more heat that can be dangerous for notebooks hardware.
This is the reason why notebook manufacturers don't offer such updates and offer just adapted display drivers. If you try to download driver from GPU manufacturer directly there is always a indication to use driver from notebook manufacturers support page.

It is possible to install the driver from Intel but you have to do this is device manager!
You have to FORCE windows choosing the downloaded driver and this can be done using the advanced installation procedure. This helps to choose the driver from Intel and to finish the installation!

  • Graphic card driver update for Satellite M30x

I need to update the video card driver in my Satellite M30X (ATI mobility Radeon 9600/9700). Where can I find the latest version?
On the toshiba support page there is only an old version (dic.2004). I already tried to install the one supply at ATI.com, but did not work (suddenly stops and says that my system does not support that driver). I really need this Update...
    Please Help me

    Hello!
    I did the following:
    1. I visited:
    http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool/
    and downloaded this tool.
Unzipped it only to read the instructions (I did not start any installation).
    2. Then visited:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=de&FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5
there I downloaded .Net framework 2.0 (the minimum required version) and installed it on my computer.
    3. visited:
    http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
selected: WINDOWS XP (Profeional/Home) ---> RADEON ---> RADEON 9700 Series and clicked on GO
in the new window I selected: Catalyst Software Suite --34.6MB--7.1--Jan. 10, 2007--Display Driver&Catalyst Control Center&WDM Drivers
    3. Following to the MOODTOOL manual, I started installing the driver gotten at ATI webpage (with the expected result ERROR, please dont give up at this stage)
    4. Started The MOODTOOL following the manual (some scary windows appeared telling what we all know, it is that the driver you are installing is inconsistent and you can continue on you own risk)
    5. I accepted all questions.
    6. BINGO! the last version of Catalyst was installed on my notebook and the software that was experiencing problems with my video card started working....
Remarks: I hope there wont be any problem with my video card in the future.
    Thaks a lot!

  • Are there any graphic driver updates for Satellite L850-162

Are there any driver updates available for the L850-162?
I'm just running with the ones that came installed with the laptop but the display is pixellated and jumpy when watching video.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated

Sat L850-162 is a part of the PSKDGE and it has been equipped with an Intel HD (INTEL HM76) Express chipset (graphic chip)
There are more Toshiba series which use the same chipset so you could also use the drivers released for such notebook models.
    For example:
    C850 PSKC8E
    C855 PSKC8E
    C870 PSC8EE
    L830 PSK84E
    L870 PSKBGE
    P850 PSPKBE
    and others
At least you could also try to use the Intel HD HM76 driver from the Intel page.

  • Display Driver Update for Satellite L30-105

Could anyone give me an idiots guide on how to update a display driver for my Satellite L30-105 ( PSL33E ) PLEASE?

LOL. You need a idiot guide?? Come on man ;)
    Ok, here is my guide;
Download the graphic driver for your notebook model.
    Unzip the package.
Then access the device manager, mark the graphic card, update driver.
Then a new window will open.
There you have to use the second Advanced option.
Then choose the option called Dont search. I will chose the driver (or something like that)
Then point to the place where the driver package has been stored on the HDD and finish the installation.

  • Satellite P75-A7200 hard drive mount connector

I am missing the hard drive mount that secures the additional hard drive on the Satellite P75-A7200.
Does anybody know where I could find this piece?

About a month ago I replaced failed 20GB hard drive in a Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 with a 40GB Samsung 2.5" Hard Drive that I bought from PC World for 45 (ordered via their website using the collect@store option). Since then the laptop has performed without problems. The only minor annoyance is that the recovery CD's formatted the new hard drive with 2 20MB partitions rather than a single one of 40MB. The main thing to check if you are not replacing drives on a like for like basis is that the power consumption of the replacement drive is no greater than that of the original otherwise you could encounter overheating problems.
The smaller (20GB and 30GB) drives originally fitted to the A10 no longer appear to be readily available. A 40GB Toshiba 2.5" hard drive is available from MISCO for around 49+delivery.
    Hope this helps.

  • My Satellite P75-A7200 won't boot

    Hi all,
tried to update my Satellite P75-A7200 to 8,1 .
Now it won't start up anymore. It said no BOOTABLE DEVICE. I've tried to press F12 when turning on the computer; BOOT menu come up, I don't have the HDD RECOVERY option.
Can somebody let me know how to fix it or where I can get the RECOVERY MEDIA?
    Thank you.

I found very interesting document about recovery options after system upgrade to Win8.1
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB4403L30001R01.htm
I didnt test it because I have created recovery USB before I have started to change preinstalled OS and installed Win8.1 upgrade.
Please check it out and send some feedback.

  • Driver update for Win 7 USB issue on nVidia chipset systems now available

This patch is needed for the TouchSmart 600 AIO Desktop series if you haven't installed it.
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Lockups-Freezes-Hangs/Driver-update-for-Win7-USB-issue-on-nVidia-chipse...

The update is not part of the desktop Win7 update disc from MS or HP  - Microsoft has not yet integrated it into Win7, and it is not yet available on Windows Update (it is likely to hit there sometime in January).   It was available too late to get it out on HP Update before the holiday break.  I don't believe there have been any rolls to the Win7 upgrade disks.   I do recommend (while still on Vista) running HP Update and installing all applicable updates  - PRIOR to doing the Win7 upgrade.  Also - I'd double check the drivers page for your system for any Vista updates as well,  best to do any driver/BIOS/Video BIOS updates prior to the Win7 upgrade process.  I know that some of them were created before Windows 7 was out - and may not want to install if it sees the newer OS.
As to the fix - this could manifest itself in many ways - but essentially - this resolves system flakyness with USB devices attached .  Some internal devices (card readers, touchscreens, some Wireless LAN interfaces) connect via USB - so they could be affected, even if you haven't hooked up anything to your system externally.
Not sure just what problems you were experiencing, so can't say this was the cause (and will be the fix) - but if it applies to your system - I'd definitely give it a shot.    I checked a couple of systems that had this update - I see it now on the software drivers and update page for them, so it looks like it rolled out OK.
    Happy Holidays...

  • Toshiba Satellite p75-A7200 stuck on toshiba logo after bios change

My Toshiba Satellite p75-A7200 is stuck on toshiba logo after bios change.
entered bios fine changes from UEFI to CSM boot and now i cannot enter bios or boot past toshiba logo.
Ive tried F2 tapping and holding while powering up the laptop(tried every Fkey,DEL,ESC, with and without FN key)
    cannot re-enter bios.
Also i tried to run the bios update cd created multiple  1.50 1.40 even 1.00, it doesnt seem to read any media.
i tried holding C, FN+C and f and just about every key on the keyboard to get something to work. i had dvd as top of boot priority for a while now so i shouldnt have to try f12 or holding C before boot but i tried . it doesnt seem to read any media
i tried windows 8 install cd, Ubuntu, centos, nothing goes past toshiba logo and no errors, i dont get the non bootable device error so its seems to not be reading the dvd. (dvd does spin and make read noises) im trying to find my usb floppy drive to try a floppy version but it acts like its not reading any media.
I also pulled the HDD and all usb devices to make the dvd the only media available and with the HDD out it spins then toshiba logo then black screen with solid white  horizontal curser on top left of screen.(only happens when hdd out)
is there some type of key combination that will force a bios update or a crisis recovery mode for bios.
I also Pulled the battery for 2 solid days(battery, cmos battery, and power supply and held power button for about 10 mins while watching tx to make sure the thing was drained before the 2 day sit with no power at all.
this happened the second i changed from UEFI to CSM boot so its not a motherboard problem or anything like that because all was well before this setting change.
I already pulled the HDD and backed it up to another drive and swapped it to elimiate that.
any ideas on a secret key combo to force a bios read from dvd or usb or anythng.
or another combo that im just missing to enter bios after CSM boot.
    UPDATE
to do a crisis recovery on this laptop
1 get a usb stick and format it in fat or fat32
2 download "7zip" and install it if you dont have it.
3 download bios from toshiba website.
4 run the installer for bios but dont choose and option just close it we just want to extract the files to the location normally  c:\splnvxxx where xxx is the version number like 150
5 goto the installed locaion "c:\splnv150" or whatever number.
    6. find file os2014273a_150 or something similar. it will be an application, it will end in version number _150, and it will also have a disc image file of the same name. but we want the app.
    7. right click on it and you should have an option 7zip then extract
once extracted there is a folder now archesxxxxxx_bios_v150_win
8 copy the bios file located in archesxxxxxblahblah/X64/BIOS.fd , BIOS.fd is the bios and just copy that to a BLANK usb thumb drive that was formatted with fat or fat32.
    9. put usb into your satellite and unplug the power from it.
10 holding FN + ESC key together plug the power back in and press power button.
    11. release keys FN and ESC if all is right it will have the power button and led on from blink abut every 1 second while it searches for the bios. once its done it will reboot and you should be good to go.
if it keeps cycling with the power button then the bios is named wrong or something is not right with the usb. try reformatting it again and make sure that the bios file is the ONLY thing on the drive.

Ok a little research and digging into the bios exe downloaded from toshiba shows this has INSYDE BIOS witch should have a recovery process wich i prepared a usb stick with just the bios.fd on it found some post around toshiba forums with different models using win +B or Fn + F but neither of these worked for me to force bios update
anyone with this model know the key combo to force recovery

  • Satellite P75-A7200 Wireless Card Upgrade

    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has upgraded their Wireless Card in their Satellite P75-A7200. Until I got it home, I didn't realize that it was only a single band card and doesn't support 5ghz wireless N which is all I run my network on at home for bandwidth purposes since my neighborhood is flooded with 2.4 ghz users. It appears its a simple swap to change, but I need to know if if the Antennas support 5ghz.
    According to Intel's Docs:
"Before installing Intel® wireless adapters supporting IEEE* 802.11a, verify with the laptop manufacturer that the laptop includes a 5GHz (802.11a) capable antenna..."
I was going to switch it out with a Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 or Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth
I'm just not sure about the midle antenna port that the 6300 has since the P75-A7200 only has 2 wireless
Attached is what adapter I currently have installed. (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230)
Any help is appreciated. I am a very technical person, so I'm not a noob at this. Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I was finally able to extract the screw very gently with a power drill and #1 screw extractor. I then installed the new card in under 15 seconds. Booted right up and I had 5gz connectivity with upwards pf 160mbps (and I'm not even close to the router). No need to update any drivers. Definitly worth the $30 investment. Thanks to priuscat for providing the information on what card to get.
Attached is exactly how the new card looks from Amazon

  • Satellite p75-a7200 error on boot. Please help ASAP.

Just bought this laptop for my daughter on Christmas. Here is the error information.
When I power on the system I get a blue screen with this on it.
    Recovery
Your PC Needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
    File: \BCD\
    Error Code 0xc0000034
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. (And so on)
Press ESC for UEFI firmware Settings (This only puts me into system BIOS)
How can I make this recovery tool(s) when I can not even get into Windows 8?
Note: I have another laptop that I can use, but im not able to make a Bootable USB for some reason in Windows 7.

    Satellite P75-A7200
In case Windows does not boot, you should be able to enter the recovery environment, which in Windows 8.x looks like the picture below.
From Troubleshoot you can go to System Restore, Safe Mode, Startup repair ("Automatic Repair"), a command prompt,  the BIOS/UEFI, or even restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents from the recovery partition..
According to Microsoft, trying and failing to boot several times will eventually take you to the recovery environment instead. According to Toshiba, you can also get there by pressing F2 or the zero key on powering up.
    Try many times.
Have you upgraded to Windows 8.1?
