Installing the Business Content Objects from R/3 in to BW

From R/3 system with RSA5 (Installation DataSource from Business Content), I have selected 0PF_FUND_ATTR (Pension Fund in Personnel Management) and clicked the 'Transfer DataSource' and it was successful. Then I have logged on to BW and 'Replicated the DataSource' for Pension Fund Master data and I could see my new DataSource '0PF_FUND_ATTR' after the replication under R/3 Client Source System. I went to the list of Info Objects (AWB -->Business Content --> Object Types --> Info Objects --> Selection --> Input help for Metadata) and I didn't find my new 0PF_FUND_ATTR in the list. If I find it then could click the 'Transfer Selections' button at the bottom and I could 'INSTALL' it afterwards.
Why I am not able to see '0PF_FUND_ATTR' in the list of InfoObjects and what was the problem. Could you please help me. Thanks in advance.

i need to install the business content of the purchase contract ODS and Cubes. now we are using the netweaver 2004s. can any body explain the how to install the . one more i should not overwrite the existing active objects. how do i know datasource of the that ODS. can anybody tell the how to find the datasource for respective ODS.

Hi
To see the corresponding datasources of the particular ODS
u have to view thru help.sap.com.From there you have to go thru BI Content - and click Netweaver2004's.
From there check which industry your ODS belong too and then you will find your datasource and correponding logic , cubes , standard reports..
To install BI content.
1. Use tcode RSA1
2. Select BI Content
3. Find Datastore object
4. select and find teh name of ur ODS and darg to the right pane.
5. Once you drag on the right side, you will find cxertain objects in green status color - theese are the objects which are installed in your BI . make sure you dont check it otherwise it will overwrite.
6. the objects which are not green should be checked. BI Content automatically checks only those components which are not installed.
7. Select Grouping "In dataflow before and after "
and then click Install
8. your BI content will be installed finally.

Error while activating the business content object

Hi guru,
We have installed a new BI system, and hence we need to activate all the business content object as they are available in delivery version.
So as there was an requirement i tryed to activate the business content object ,that is 0mat (MATNR) material number,
but once done with the installation when i try to find the object and display it
that is i select the object 0mat , context menu and say display or change it does not show the complete screen as it appears for a characterstic and gives a error
"_settings for material number conversion not found"_*
so please help me out what is the problem

but let me inform you that i already did that as i need to install this object and now the object is showing with green instead of grey,
Now my problem is that after selecting grouping and collection when i go to infoobject menu under modelling and find out the object 0mat, it shows in green , but as i need to observe the properties of this object like data type , length etc , i select the object 0mat and right click and select display,
then instead of showing me the object properties screen it gives me the error as mentioned above,
so as you say it has to be in active versoin , but i can not view the normal screen which appears after creating any object ,
now i hope my problem is quiet explanatory so please help me.

To transfer and activate a DataSource delivered by SAP with Business Content, in transaction SBIW in the source system choose Business Information Warehouse à Business Content DataSources or Activating SAP Business Content àTransfer Business Content DataSources.
The following figure displays the DataSources in an overview according to the application component.
       2.      Select the nodes in the application component hierarchy for which you want to transfer DataSources into the active version. Do so by positioning the cursor on the node and choosing Highlight Subtree.
The DataSources lying under the subtree and other subtrees are selected.
       3.      To check for differences between the active and delivery versions of the DataSources, choose Select Delta.
DataSources for which differences were found in the check (for example, due to changes to the extractor) are highlighted in yellow.
       4.      To analyze the differences between active and delivered versions of a particular DataSource, select the DataSource and choose Version Comparison. The application log contains further information regarding the version comparison.
       5.      To transfer a DataSource from the delivery version into the active version, select it in the overview tree using the button Highlight Subtree and choose Transfer DataSources.
If an error occurs, the error log appears.
Regardless of whether data has been successfully transferred into the active version, you can call the log by choosing Display Log.
       6.      To provide the active version of the DataSource in the connected BI systems and to enable data extraction and transfer, replicate the DataSource(s) with a metadata upload to the BI system.
and in RSA1 in businuess content search ur required cube and select all the req fielsds in the next colums and select before and after is a must..in the selection field..
this will solve ur issue..

Error when installing the business content (update rules)

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to install the Business Content for Plant Maintenance. When trying to install the update rules UPDR BN10TVY8N84KARHU2FLSSYL56, I was able to see the update rules in the collected objects. But, when trying to install, it throws an error saying that the update rules is not found.
Could you please help me in resolving the issue and install the update rules successfully.

You should install corresponding neccessary object with it, like update rule data target, and connected infosources also.
infosource -> update rules -> data target
Cross check you have infosoure, and data target installed or not, and if not install all these together.
You can also use grouping option as install all neccesary options. It will collect all neccessary objects.

Error in Installing the Business Content for 2LIS_06_INV data source

Hi Experts,
We are trying to install the Business content for 2lis_06_inv. When we replicate the datasource, we are not seeing it in 3.x version. It is only vailable in 7 version. There is no transformation available in Business content for this data source. Please let me know how we need to proceed with this installation. Should we install the 7.0 flow or 3.x flow? Please provide th details if you have implemented th same in your system. Thanks is advance.

Follow bellow steps:
1. Goto RSA1.
2. Select the BI content.
3. Select the Grouping as' In Dataflow before and after'
Then,you can get the data flow which are haveing the DS/TR/Data targets.
4. Select the Install by setting the 'Install in background'.

Dear Friends,
We are in BI 7.0 and trying to install a business content query "Balance Sheets Profit and Loss Statement" but while activating we are getting the error that some Particular Request has not been found or not suitable. we checked for that request in SE09 and found that there is no such request existing in the system. So what could be the cause of the Error and what to do for successfully Installing the Query.

Error while installing the Business Content 2lis_03_bf Transformation

Hi,
I have installed total 0ic_c03 cube and successful.
Data is populating correct. When ever Releasing the Request error getting which Local objects not captured in request which are there in 2lis_03_bf info source, For this Error I have deleted the objects from info source and activated and activated transformation. But those object are there in the ROUTINES and disturbed. KEYFIGURES Routine are disappeared.
Again when have installing the BF infosource and transformations from Business content is getting below error. for Ref below screen shot.
Please advise me : urgent

Hi,
it seems like issue with ABAP routine.
Can you try to get detail error by doing syntax check.
Also if you are in BW 7.31 - I notices while releasing it shows error. I will suggest ignore it and just released. it worked for me.
You always have option to recapture the transport and resend the same objects, if earlier failed.

During the collection of objects in the BI content (for installing the objects from BI content),I am getting error saying that " Info Object xxxx is not active and it is being deleted".What should I do to activate those objects.

when I am installing the BC cube and ODS the particular infoobject and related cube and queries are not installing, it is giving the below error.
Object 0DBMKTC01 (InfoCube,CUBE) could not be collected for object 0DB (InfoArea,AREA)
Object 0DB_MC01 (MultiProvider,MPRO) could not be collected for object 0DB (InfoArea,AREA)
Object 0DB_MC02 (MultiProvider,MPRO) could not be collected for object 0DB (InfoArea,AREA)
Object 0DB_VCDS1 (DataStore Object,ODSO) could not be collected for object 0DB (InfoArea,A
Object 0DB_CHA01 (InfoObject Catalog,IOBC) could not be collected for object 0DB (InfoArea
Object '0DB_KYF01' (IOBC) of type 'InfoObject Catalog' is not available in version 'D'
In the long text it is showing the below message.
this object 0DBMKTC01 of type InfoCube,CUBE is not available in the metadata repository.
Can anyone tell me how to rectify this and install all the obj.

How to Transport the Business content objects using Transport connections

I have installed the BW statistics cubes in BW Devlopment and i want to Transport the same things to Quality using Transprot connection. Please send steps and tips for Transporting the BW statistics collected objects.

While installing have you given any package and created request for this activation? If yes go to SE 09 and release your task and then request. And receive this in STMS in BWQ.
If you do not have created request and saved it in $tmp while activation then you have to go to RSA1 > transport connections> select your cube > grouping> only necessary objects> collect automatically> and press transport button this will give you request no > and then release this request> then go to BWQ> stms> select source system> select your request> and press import request button(white truck sign)> do necessary settings > and say OK. Once your request status is green then its successfully received in BWQ.

Business Content Objects on BI side for the business content data sources

We are doing a fresh implementation, and would like to know the step by step way through which i can know the relevant business content objects on BW side for a BC data sources ,,,,,
0material_attr
and 0mat_sales_Attrt
As Per my understanding, once installed the BC data sources, the data would be feed to the master data info object 0material
But the question is how do i know the complete Business content object on BW / BI side, and use the same building the entire flow.
I have a hint that we can know it through the help.sap.com, and it would be highly appreciated and awarded for your expertises guidence, i have tried sercing in it, but dont know the correct trick.
Even for the other business content data sources.
Example, the relevant infoobject or the DSO or the Cube,transformation, dtp,etc..

Do you mean this way in the meta data repository, it will propose the flow for the business content object, and if yes, then even if they are in delivery version and not in active version, still it shall propose the flow for the business content objects,
And to cut short my requirement, as specified we are doing the fresh implementation,
and i have identified that we would require first to load the material master data, and based on our present requirement, the data source which i have identified are
0material_attr (for the table mara in ECC system)
0mat_sales_attr (for the table mvke in ECC system)
all the fields data would be loaded to which master data info object,
will it be 0material or ????

Business Content objects transport request error

Hi gurus
We have installed the Business content for CRM in development. Now we have moved the business content objects to Quality, but the issue was all the objects went and they are in the unassigned node. First time the infoarea for the respecitve objects were not selected. In development already the info areas were there, so i didnt select the infoareas for quality. But in quality nothing is existing.So my question is if i select the objects again with thier respective info areas, will i get the objects again aligned in proper order in quality. As already objects are there in unassigned nodes in quality will effect the next transport.

By the by:
And also collect respetive Info object Catelogs also.So that Infoobject sits under proper Info area.Otherwise you will get same problem with IO(what you got with Cubes).

How to see the business content workbooks

Hi All,
I have installed some of the business content workbook from RSA1 and want to see them in Bex analyser , i can see some of the already avilable workbooks there with my user id , but when iam clicking on that the system pop ups "Cant find workbook on the server".
Moroever , how can i see the workbook that i installed from business content.

Error while activating the Business Content

Hi BI gurus,
I am installing the business content for the sales overview infocube with the grouping option data flow before and install in back ground option. The back ground job is cancelled with the error msg"STDO: Log could not be written on output device T" and at the end it shows ABAP/4 processor: LOAD_PROGRAM_LOST error.
Can any one give solution for this. This is very urgent,
