Installing the IDE Kit

Hi,
I am very new to programming. I was told that Eclipse is the best IDE which is available for free download and good for begineers. I tried to download and install it by myself. As I was going through the installation process, I found it a little confusing because it is asking me to install Java run time engine first and do some setting after installations. Can some one help me on this. Can you share some kind of installation manual/procedure if you have so that it would walk me through it. you help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Sekhar

You need the Java Run Time Enviroment and SDK(Sun Development Kit) in order to compile and run Java, google Java SDK, as the SDK also has a matching JRE in it, install it and you should be good 2 go.

  • Error when installing the Integration Kit for SAP

    Hello,
When installing the integration Kit I get the following error:
The installation of BO XI Integration for SAP Solutions cannot continue because WACS has been installed with BO Enterprise.
i have seen in BO-SAp Integration Kit Installation Error that I have to had selected the point Install Tomcat application server option, but I was not asked to.
I'm following the blog BusinessObjects and SAP - Part 1 of 4, and my installation screens are similar but not equal. for example, I fon't have the installation type new, but the quickk type. And I cannot select the database, too.
Of course the screen asking about the Web Application server with the option of installing the tomcat application server doesn't appear.
    What have I done wrong?
What is the solution? Reinstalling everything but doing what?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ana.

    Hi Ingo,
    Yes, it is BO Edge.
I have deinstalled the BO Edge sw and now I have installed it again. This time I have selected the export installation type and I have select the TOMCAT. The installation has finished successfully, but when installing the SAP integration Kit, I have the same problem. The message about the WACS already installed appears again.
    What else can I do?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ana.

  • Can't install the overvoice kit on my ipod nano 5

    Hello,
i have ipod nano 5 for several years. i got a new computer and i wanted to transfer songs for my ipod.
i installed itunes and wanted to install the voice over kit. after downloading the kit the installation  faild with an 32 error.
i want to mention that i am a blind user so without the overvoice the i ipod is useless for me.
i tried to reinstall the itunes and it didnt help.
i use windows 7 on a dell laptop.
    thanks!

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • ITunes was unable to install the VoiceOver kit.  An unknown error occurred (1260).

I now get this error after getting the latest version of iTunes on 2/2/2015.
    I have a 4th gen shuffle.
I've tried restarting the computer.  I've tried getting the latest Microsoft updates.  Nothing works.
Is there a log I can check for more information on this error?

    Hey!
I have the same problem but with different specs.
I'm using the latest OS X Yosemite 10.10.
And also the latest iTunes version 12.1.0.50.
When I enable the VoiceOver on my iPod shuffle, the language dropbox is not accessible.
Then, it prompts the terms and conditions and also the details of the VoiceOver kit version, and it says the new update has now support for OS X Lion... But I'm using Yosemite...
Then, I get the annoying error 1701...
Already tried to uninstall the VoiceOver kit framework, but no success... Already restored the iPod, no success. I've been searching all over the web and this used to be a problem but it was solved with a OS X Lion update... Well, we have Yosemite now, it's about time to come up with a fix!
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Maybe someone using Yosemite with the VoiceOver kit working, could copy the framework file and let us download and replace ours, to see if it's any good... Other than that, really dunno what to do...

  • Installing the j2ee kit

I could not intsall the java enteprise development kit which just had 1 download -
    j2eesdk-1_4_01-windows.exe of 101.MB.
I get the following message "Extracting Installation files" then "
j2eesdk-1_4_01-windows.exe file appears to be corrupted" and the installation is halted.
I downloaded the software on to a cd - rw. Could it be the cd?

Although the file size seems OK, you seem have a bad download. Windows file properties show 106 521 349 bytes (106 524 672 on disk).
Note that if all you need is the application server 8 update 1 (assuming you already have a JDK 1.4.2 and don't need all the samples), you can download it separately in a 34MB archive.
I don't believe the problem is related to the CD as the installer creates temporary files in the default user or Windows directories.

  • Unable to install the BusinessObjects XI Portal Integration Kits on shrepoi

    Hi all,
I am attempting to install the following kit onto my sharepoint 2007 installation:
BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit
Download BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit - ZIP 5MB
My Sharepoint is fully up to date and is version      12.0.0.6335.
Each time i try to install, I get the message:SP3 Patch is required to install Sharepoint 2007 Integration Kit. I believe that this is already installed as whenever I try to install the SP3 Patch I get:
The expected version of the product is installed on your system.
I have checked and it looks to me that version 12.0.0.6335 is the most up to date and surpasses the SP3.
    Can anyone assist?

    thank you for your help

    Hi,
Please let us know whether you are using NWM 7.1 or 7.3
If you are using 7.3, then you cannot find these files. The procedure is different from that of 7.1, just you need to extract all the plugins into the eclipse plugin folder.
For 7.1, refer the following document
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/8f/0b674240449c60e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

  • Attn: Installing the Sample Applications from the ifs Development Kit

There are a number of problems with the sample Applications included in the
Developer's kit. These need to manually fixed in order to get the demos to work.
    #1: Solaris Only
The install of the iFS Development Kit, replaces the existing adk.jar with a new
one containing some additional classes. Unfortunately the install process does not
set the correct privileges on the new version of adk.jar. Please ensure that the
    file $ORACLE_HOME/ifs/lib/adk.jar is world readable.
    Bug # 1304730
This issue will be resolved on the next drop of the Oracle Internet File System
    development kit.
    #2: Generic
There is a problem with the way in which the login.jsp establishes a connection to
the repository. The current code makes incorrect assumptions about the name of the
iFS Service and the schema password.
    The following changes are required.
In order to connect to the repository 4 pieces of information are required.
    1. The iFS User Name
    2. The iFS User's password
    3. The properties file to be used
    4. The database password of the user who owns the iFS Schema
The Login.jsp needs to be altered so that it requests these four arguments before
attempting to establish a connection to the repository.
(The current version only requests username and password).
All four arguments need to be provided as arguments to the login method on the
underlying JavaBean that the JSP invokes when it want to open a connection
    to the repository.

Stop and Start all of the protocol servers.
This issue will be resolved on the next drop of the Oracle Internet File System
    development kit.
#3. Making the BaseRendererClass available to the Protocol Servers
Note this step is not required if you have the 1.0.8.3 patch set installed.
Install the BaseRenderer Class. The BaseRenderer class is delivered in the jar file
ifsdevkit.jar and can be used to simplify the task of creating a custom renderer.
Unfortunately the jar file containing this class is not referenced in any of the Classpaths
used by the iFS protocol servers. This means that they will not be able to load any
customer renderers that extend BaseRenderer. In order to make BaseRenderer available
to the Protocol Servers it need to be placed in the appropriate directory under
    <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/custom_classes.
Extract the class from the ifsdevkit.jar.
ifsdevkit.jar is located in <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/lib after the devkit has been installed.
    jar -xvf ifsdevkit.jar
    extracted: META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
    extracted: BaseRenderer.class
Create the following directory heirachy in <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/custom classes
    oracle/ifs/server/renderers
    Copy <ORACLE_HOME>/ifs/lib/BaseRenderer.class to
    <ORACLE_HOME/ifs/custom_classes/oracle/ifs/server/renderers
    That should do it.
