  • How to install the sdk?

    hi,
i installed adobe workflow server 7.2
after i started the workflow designer i noticed, that there were no qpacks.
i downloaded the workflow sdk 7.0.5. this is a zip file with some folders.
i have no idea ho to install the sdk.
    please help
    Andrej

    Hi Andrej
The QPAC's (Components) are not deployed by default.
The 7 Core QPAC's are included with the LiveCycle Workflow Server install and are in the QPACS directory.
To deploy any QPAC, follow the instructions on page 74 in the Creating Workflows.pdf guide which is in your documentation directory for both the Server and Designer.
The SDK is not installed. If you simply want to use the SDK QPAC's, then follow the same instructions as above.

  • Should I uninstall the jre before I install the sdk?

I'm wondering what the best practice is here. I've had the jre 1.4.1_01 plugin installed and working fine with Mozilla 1.2.1.
Should I uninstall it before I install the sdk? I really don't want any conflicts but I'm sure if the jre in the sdk is for the sdk's use or if I can use it in my web browser as well.
    Thanks.
    sb

i you uninstall or not it doesn't matter, your sdk will jus work fine. But in the browser you got to select which jre you want to use.

  • How do I install the SDK?

It'd be nice if there were just a nice old-fashioned install
file but they want to make it as complex as possible, I guess.
Anyway, I need to get the Flex SDK3 installed so I can use
FlashDevelop. I have the thing downloaded and unzipped to a folder.
I just uninstalled Flash Player using the file provided by Adobe. I
can't find any .exe file or anything that actually installs it.
What do I open to actually use the thing? Yes, I need to be spoon
fed the instructions because I know nothing about SDKs.

Ok. The confusion arises from the fact that it wants me to
delete Flash Player and not reinstall until I've installed the SDK.
But if the SDK doesn't have a formal installation, how would Flash
    Player really know either way?

  • Installing the SDK from .dmg

Hello. I was wondering if the old SDKs get uninstalled or overwritten when we install the new SDKs? The only reason I ask is because I had the 3.0 SDK, then upgraded to 3.1 which said it would take like 4 GB or something about a wk ago, and then upgraded to 3.1.2 which said it would take another 4 or 6 GB and it seems odd to take up that much space unless the old ones are not getting overwritten. Thoughts? Thanks!

    jwfc wrote:
after installing the 3.1 SDK, and then the 3.1.2 SDK, I saw they used 10GB of space.
Yeah, I didn't pay enough attention to those version nos. in your original post. Was 3.1.2 a release when you downloaded it? Dunno if the install policy is different for a subversion. Your disk usage seems a little low for all 3 SDK's, so can we assume the 3.1 install overwrote 3.0?
Is there a way to manually uninstall the SDKs on the MAC and just reinstall the newest version of the SDK.
The uninstall directions are toward the end of the readme that came with 3.1. If you threw away the dmg, you should still have a copy in /Developer/"About Xcode Tools.pdf". I think it's also online at the Dev Center, but if you can't find it anywhere, let us know and I'll paste it here for you.

  • How Can I Install the SDK 3.6 Data Visualization Components?

    Hi
I upgraded my Flex Builder 3 SDK to 3.6 today. I'm on a Mac.
I'd like to use the data visualizationcomponents as well. I downloaded them here . But, I don't understand how to install them. It says follow the instrucitons here .
To install the library and related assets do the following:
Unzip ‘datavisualization_SDK3.5.zip’ onto the  SDK 3 folder (e.g.
C:\Program Files\Flex Builder 3\sdks\3.0). This will extract  the
following into the SDK 3 installation
    datavisualization.swc into the frameworks\libs  folder
the datavisualization RSL into the frameworks\rsls folder
datavisualization_rb.swc into the appropriate  frameworks\locale\<locale> folder
I don't have a directory called sdks/3.0 ? Should I go ahead and make one? The instuctions are for 3.5, but I'm installing 3.6-- I assume the instructions are the same.
    Thank you.

  • How to install Acrobat SDK?

    Hello,
Sorry for the stupid question, but I am really confused.
I went to the Acrobat SDK website and downloaded the zip file for SDK X for windows and after unzipping I have found a folder structure with no clue where to begin.
What do I need to install? Or should I just copy a certain dll somewhere?
Probably there are instructions somewhere in the documentation files, but could someone point me where? I really do not know where to begin reading.
A small overview of the folder structure (down to level 3) is as follows:
    Adobe \
         Acrobat 10 SDK \
              Version 1 \
                   AccessibilitySupport
                   Documentation
                   InterAppCommunicationSupport
                   JavaScriptSupport
                   OtherSupport
                   PluginSupport
    Thank you,
    Ionel

It is a very good tip, but to be honest, the information in the Documentation folder is overwhelming.
First of all there are two pdf files: pdf_reference.pdf (140 pages) and U3DElements.pdf (48 pages)
Second there is a zip file Acrobat10_0_HTMLHelp.zip which contains around 3500 html files.
Third there is a folder called Javascript that contains 5 other pdf files (batch_sequences.pdf, js_3d_api_reference.pdf, js_api_reference.pdf, js_developer_guide.pdf, Tracker.pdf)
What should I start reading first and how far should I read in order to be able to install the SDK?

  • Problems Installing J2SE SDK on Win XP Home

Hi, I'm having serious trouble trying to install the Java 2 SDK onto my
    PC.
    I have tried installing 2 different versions;
    j2sdk-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p, and
    j2sdk-1_4_2_04-windows-i586-p.
Both are the offline installation versions which I burned to separate
CD-ROMs in the last 4 months or so. Whenever I try to install either version,
I get the following error message during the "copying of files" stage of the
    installation process:
"Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is
corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error
reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."
Also, during one of my failed installation attempts, I received the following
error message instead of the one above:
"Error 1772. There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program
run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support
    personnel or package vendor."
I have only received the Error 1772 on one occasion, every other attempt to
install one of the packages has resulted in an Error 1335.
The system I am trying to install it on is an Athlon 2600 with 256mb of RAM,
running Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack One.
The strange thing is, is it that it is only this PC which the problem occurs
on. I have successfully installed the 1_4_2_03 version of the
SDK onto my (rather antiquated) laptop, which has an AMD K6 400MHz, 96mb of
RAM, and running Windows 98. Also, I have just successfully installed the
1_4_2_04 version onto another different PC, which has an AMD K6 450MHz,
96mb of RAM and running Windows ME. Both of these versions were installed off
the very same CDs that are causing me all the problems mentioned above with my
PC running XP, so it suggests that there is no problem of corruption of the
    installation files.
I have only managed to find information about this problem on a couple of
other sites, and I have tried every one of the suggestions that people in
a similar predicament have tried. These failed attempts include:
    - Performing a 'clean boot' before installing the SDK.
    - Swapping the slots that the PC's memory modules are in.
    - Format of hard drive and complete re-installation of Windows.
I really am at a complete loss as to how to get Java up and running on my PC,
so if anyone out there knows how to fix the problem, please, please let me
    know.
    Thanks,
    Steve.

I can't offer resolution of the problem, but a couple of alternatives come to mind.
Obviously, this one computer has something in it that is causing the problem. It's probably an interaction involving Windows and the hardware. Windows SP2 may be a solution; install it when available, and try again.
The SDK installation in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_0x does not involve any Registry entries - they're for the public JRE installed in Program Files. You can copy the j2sdk1.4.2_0x directory from another machine, avoiding the install; you just won't have the public JRE. Copy java.exe and javaw.exe to System32 to allow naked java/javaw commands to work.

  • Help: Install of SDK 1.4.1 has broken XP!

    Hi all,
I have had the standard edition of Java for a while, had no
troubles. Recently upgraded to version 1_4_1_02, no troubles. Now I want
to try programming some Java, so I installed the SDK from
j2sdk-1_4_1_02-windows-i586.exe. I didnt bother to uninstall the standard
edition first - since it is s subset of the SDK I presumed I wouldnt have
to. However, Win XP now only gets as far as the login screen before the
boot fails and the monitor goes into standby mode. Only a reset produces
anything. Does anyone know what might have happened, how to fix it, or how
to repair my XP. I have the XP command console installed, and can boot
into that OK. Any suggestions welcome - I am desperate!
    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

Problem solved, this was actually caused by an evil MS Hotfix: (SP2) Q811493 that I installed in the morning of the same day. Avoid this Hotfix.

  • Fb 4.7 air sdk 15.0.0.349 Error occurred while installing the application

    Hi
Im using fb 4.7 air sdk 15.0.0.349 with Macosx 10.9.4, xcode 6.1 (ios simulator 8.1) and i keep getting the following response when debugging with ios simulator:
Error occurred while installing the application:
Session did end with error (null)
Can you help?  Is this a bug being fixed yet?
    Thanks.
    zed0784

Sorry i was refering to my other post. I am on FB 4.7, AIR 15 SDK 15.0.0.356, Xcode Version 6.1 (6A1052d) with the same problem on Mavericks on my MacPro and Yosemite on my MacBook Pro. My App (which uses Feathers and Starling) didnt work at all and even got rejected for Testflight testing because is was crashing immediately on iOS 8.1. I found out that this was related to the new compiler so "-useLegacyAOT yes " solved that problem.
But the problem that i cannot test in iOS simulator at all still persists. (Session did end with error (null))

  • Does the java 1.4.2 sdk install the Java Runtime Environment twice?

I just installed this and I noticed that it appears I have two copies of the JRE one in C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2 and one in C:\j2sdk1.4.2\jre\
The contents of both folders look identical to me. Did the SDK install two copies? Did one copy come with Windows XP or Service Pack 1? In Add/Remove Programs there is one entry for the Java Runtime Environment and one for the SDK. I'd like to get rid of one of the copies of the JRE if possible. Thanks,
    Ollie

The copy in Program Files is likely the Java plug-in used with your web browser. I only have 1.3.1 installed so I can't positively confirm your 1.4 installation. Under Control Panels, you should have a Java Plug-in control.

  • Installing the cs3 sdk on a mac

    Hi,
I just downloaded the cs3 sdk for mac, but I can't find any install instructions inside. The readme.txt file points to the porting guide for instructions but the porting guide only says: "insall the sdk" and doesn't specify how.
So I'd love some help with that, and I guess the documentation should be corrected as well.
    Thanks,
    Guy.

You simply put the folder where you want (I put mine at the root level of my hard disk).
The Sample files are set up to use the API from the parents folder, so there is nothing to worry about.
Just open a sample project that looks compelling and start hacking. :)
