Installing the Windows IoT insider preview on SD card when booting Windows 10 from VHD Native Boot
The setup instructions for the raspberry pi 2 mention that "you
will need to follow these instructions on a physical Windows machine (and not a VM) because you need access to the SD card reader."
Will this work if you boot Windows 10 natively from a VHD (like
this) or does the virtualization still get in the way?
If you insert the SD card and can see it in explorer or when you perform the diskpart command to list drives, then it should work, since in effect the VHD is the native OS at that point. If you don't see the card, then you'll have to perform a local
install.

But i have troubol to finishing installation of window.Originally the Notebook will have the Recovery Partition and that would give you an option to create a set of Recovery Disk. If you have not created those Recovery Disks when the Notebook was in working condition we cannot do that right now
As of now if you need to recover your Notebook with the new Operating System you can check if the Recovery Partition is in a working condition or not, If yes you can easily recover/restore your Notebook
If Recovery Partition is corrupted
You need to call HP Technical Support and request for a set of Recovery Disks , So you can recover/restore your Notebook at the earliest
OR
You need call up Microsoft and purchase an Operating System with the License Key, So you can recover/restore your Notebook at the earliest
I strongly recommend you to Contact HP Technical Support over the Phone for further assistance without any delay

After installing the windows 7 64 bit, it will restart automatically with error in blue screen. in this case what should i do? i have using bootcamp 5
if it's restarting directly into an error, you can try troubleshooting (might be painful) or re-install windows with boot camp

After I installed the windows 8.1 update, podcasts and music won't play
After I installed the windows 8.1 update, itunes stopped playing. When I try to play, it brings up the song but stays at 0:00. My subscribed podcasts still download but they all stay at 0:00 too. I can click on a later point in the song/podcast and it moves to that point but just stays there as if it is paused but indicating it is playing in the controls.

There are no drivers available for Windows 8. I suggest checking in the Control Panel/Sound/Recording to assure that your microphone is selected. It seems that the Sound is one area that gets changed when updating to Win 8.1. At least, this is what happened to me.

I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp already, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now: I've got only BootCamp 3 disk and it doesn't goo even if I start it using compatibility options. And my BootCamp on Mac didn't offer me to burn cd with drivers for windows as I saw in many instructions. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks a lot.
Go back to Boot Camp: on the 2nd page you get this:
Download the support software and as Windows is already installed uncheck the 2nd box. -
My macbook pro (10.6.8 version) the screen turns blue, can not operate, forced shutdown, I installed the windows 7 Home Basic version.
To fix your issue is too complicated and lengthy to go into all of it here, it will require the services of person very familiar and experienced with Mac's to first recover your data and then restore OS X back to a functional state, then hopefully achieve the goals you were attempting.
I advise you hire the services of a local Mac computer support technician experienced in these matters.
Have them look at your Wifi and computer backup proceedures in the process.

My os x mavericks got crashed accidentely while installing the windows 8 and I am trying to reinstall using recovery console, but its take very long time and forcing me to download OS X mountain lion from internet, is there any where can I get offline download of OS file where I can install directely OS X Mavericks.
Hi, original poster here. I did not realize this would generate more discussion so I never checked back. I still had my warranty, so I took it to the store and got it repaired. The original problem I had was a screen with this icon flashing when I attempted to boot it up:
When I took it to the store, they told me that my computer was unable to communicate with the hard drive. I had this same problem three times in two months where this screen reappeared. Each time I went back to the store and they said the cause was different, but they were all hardware issues that physically made it impossible to communicate with the hard drive. After the third time, they simply replaced my laptop and I haven't had the same problem.
So in short: The reason you can't reinstall or move anything when you encounter this screen appears to be because nothing can communicate with the hard drive in the first place. You can't reach the disk or anything on it. So I don't believe it's possible to do anything besides take it to a physical store and have it fixed. -
I just bought a 2013 late model Mac Book Pro Retina and am wondering if it is worth installing windows through boot camp.
If I install the windows component in order to run an exe file and its component "Declans Korean Flash Cards"... will it make my mac suseptible to viruses overall due to having a windows component? also will it make my mac slower as wellIf you are only going to use one or two window only programs then I wouldn't waste the space. Try WinonX it allows you to install exe. Files on Mac without installing windows.

Can't access the recovery console after installing the Windows 7 RC

I recently installed the Windows 7 RC to give it a go but I've found that it kills my battery life so I decided to go back to vista, however when I press the blue button on start up to access the recovery console I just get a screen that asks me if I want to enter the BIOS or choose another boot location... I used the upgrade option in Windows 7 so I don't see how I could have deleted the partition with the recovery console...
Is it posible for me to restore my tablet to it's factory settings?The install of Win 7 removes the TVT boot manager applet and sets the master boot record to Win 7 partition only.
The Lenovo supported method of restoring your preload would be thru the use of Recovery CD's.
You might be able to change the bootable partition from the win 7 partition to the recovery partition, thru some
3rd party apps.

I recently purchased a Nokia Lumia 1020 and I am unable to instal the Windows phone App.
I keep getting this error message when I try to install the Windows App: Windows phone can't be installed on Mac HD becasue Mac OS X Version 10.7 or later is required. Under the About this Mac section it says it is: MAC OS X 10.6.8 but there there are no updates available. Any assisitance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
10.6.8 is Snow Leopard. 10.7.x is Lion. You need to upgrade, at least, to Lion (or the current release, Mountain Lion) in order to use the software.
You can purchase Lion (10.7.x) by calling Apple and getting a redemption code for the Mac App Store. If you want to upgrade to Mountain Lion, make sure that your MacBook Pro meets the minimum requirements -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5444 and, if so, you can purchase and download it directly from the Mac App Store.

"If you made the Windows partition too small
First, back up all the information on your Windows partition. Then run Boot Camp
Assistant to restore your disk to a single volume. Restart your computer and use Boot
Camp Assistant to partition the disk again and reinstall Windows. Don’t forget to install
the Boot Camp drivers after installing Windows."
