Installing updates using Tuner
We are going to be installing Acrobat Elements and Reader 7.0 using the InstallShield Tuner for 7.0. I would like to install any updates that are out for those versions during the installation. What is the best way to include the updates with the initial installation using Tuner? I want to be able to package it all up and only have to perform one install, if possible.
Make an admin install point, patch the admin install, then deploy.
1) msiexec /a elements.msi transforms="elements.mst" (transform was made in acrobat tuner 7)
2) then in the admin install directory  > msiexec /a elements.msi /p Ac705EmP_efgj.msp
3) then copy the transform from your original elements folder into the admin folder and install Elements 7

it seems to be the luck of the draw when it comes to having an installation interference problem between QT and NIS 2005 ... it usually causes more problems with the QT part of the itunes installer bundles, but it happens often enough on a QT standalone that i put that advice in there in order to cut down the possibilities of something going wrong.

Should I use HPSA application to install recommended HP updates, windows updates and tune-ups? I understand you can select the updates that you want to install but I always select and install the recommended updates through HPSA.

View Solution.Yes you can except for BIOS update. Rest if you like, you could confirm if the version and date of the driver notified is that which is given in your HP support page.

Hi i have just tried to update i tunes and it has crashed and uninstalled i tunes off my laptop. I have tried to install i tunes again but it wont and comes up with error messages
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Cannot un-install i-tunes in order to install update
Tried to update i-tunes several times. Everything ok until the installation attempted to un-install the old version and the error messages that i-Tunes "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" "Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.msi in the box below" The path shown does contain iTunes.msi. I have also placed a copy of iTunes.msi in the Windows uninstaller folder with no success. How can I delete iTunes? control panel remove function comes up with the same error message. Also an error "The older version of iTunes cannot be removed contact your technical support group.

How do I block this msg from always popping up "iTunes requires Safari 4.0.3 or later to be installed to use the iTunes Store within iTunes. Use Software Update to download and install the latest version of Safari". I cannot download this software bc my lap top is to old. The msg literally pops up everytime I make any moves on itunes and is VERY annoying.
I have a 2006 MacBook with an Mac OS X version 10.5.

Acrobat X Pro hangs when making PDF. Using on Windows 7 64. Just started hanging. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Installed update. Once it hangs, must go into crtl, alt, delete to force close.
As a debugging step, try printing to the Adobe PDF printer. If that fails, repeat with print-to-file selected. Assuming the print succeeds, open the file in Distiller to complete the creation of the PDF. If you get the PDF, then check to see if AcroTray is properly working as a background task.

Who does this iPad belong to? If someone else used their account then they paid for the apps. You will need to buy and pay for apps using your own account which means that you will no longer have access to the apps installed by the other person.

If this iPad belongs to you I suggest you reset the iPad to factory defauts and just use it with the apps that you've paid for. You will be able to re-download the apps from the iTunes app store after the reset.

I can not get ny updates and therefore not use Java, as it only run updates for MAC 10.7. and later. How do i get the updates to install and use JAVA ?
In Snow Leopard you update Java from Software Update (in the Apple menu). You can check your version by opening Terminal and typing
java -version
(don't get creative and type anything else)

I already have ios 7.0 installed in my iphone 4S. Although the size of ios 7.0.2 shows only a few MB, but when i click update using from my itunes it shows it is downloading 1.19GB. Why is this ? Do i have to download 1.19 GB?
If you update using iTunes, the full iOS is downloaded. If you update directly on your phone, this is called a "Delta" update, & only the changes to the iOS are downloaded. That's why you see the difference you see.

When you watch the progress bar trying to sync, can you see at what step the sync is stopped?
If it does not get beyond step one (backup) delete the latest backup in the list in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices and try again after that. To be on the safe side, copy the backup folder to a safe place before you start. It is located here:

I installed update on my IMAC for new Maverick OS X 10.9.2
It will not allow the update on a few Apps, such as IPhotos, it says Apple ID is already in use.

2. What am I supposed to do about fixing it?Have you tried signing out of the App Store and then back in with the Apple ID and password that you used to purchase the iMac?
