Installing/updating software always generates error message
Every time I update or install software I receive the error message "software failed to install." As soon as I click the message to close it, another message pops up telling me that the software did install. This has been going on for several months and is consistent. I don't notice any other problem with my computer, but I find it quite disconcerting. It makes me wonder if I have something like a keystroke logger running in the background, but I am not savvy enough to know how to determine whether this is the case.
Should I be worried about this?
For a start try this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

every time i try to update itunes i get this error message The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable then asks me to find the folder containing the instalation package ITunes.msi
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Typing SQL in an SQL field in CR always generates error message

I am working with Crystal Reports 2008 (CR Developer, Version 12.1.0.892) Product Type: Full. This software is locally installed on my working computer, running on a Windows 7 system. The database I use is Progress version 10.2B01. I connect through an ODBC connection to the database.
As a software developer, developing reports in CR is not my primary task, yet I have done some good work up to this date in Crystal. I have only one major problem:
I can not create any SQL fields in the report, e.g. despite how I write the expression in the SQL language, it would not compile. The following error message appears: (I couldn't copy the error dialog into this message)
Error in compiling SQL Expression:
Database Connector Error: 'DAO Error Code: 0x03
Source: DAO.Database
Description: Syntaxerror in queryexpression 'SELECT
Customer.'Customer Name".'.
To make it as easy and basic as possible, I have tried the above excercise using C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 12.0\Samples\En\DB\xtreme.mdb database. The SQL just won't work! Not even the most basic SELECT. I have really tried and searched Crystal Reports Online Help. A college of mine gets the same error message.
I would be greatful if someone could give me a hint, what could be wrong. You may post me a simple SQL query which works together with the xtreme.mdb database. (Drawing fields with the mouse onto the report creates nice output - but I really want to accomplish output by creating and inserting an SQL field using SQL!).

Try to see what all tables are accessed by data source. and see if there is any lock on that..
If some other job is accessing that table - then there might be lock on that which is causing failure..
1) Try looking at ST22 dump also..
2) Try to do RSA3 in R/3 and if see if its is fetching any records or not..

I now just have on my screen the round circle with Itunes in it & the connector showing to connect it to Itunes. It is connected. I took it out, turned it off, it is still there. I tried holding in the home & sleep button, it is still there. I think I'm screwed!

When I try to install updates I get an error message " an unexpected error has occured" This involves: Epson Printer Software update 2.11; iTunes 10.6.3; Airport Utility 5.6.1; Remote Desktop Client Update andd Java for Mac OSX 10.6 Update 9. When I try to upgrade and install to iOS 5.1, error message prompt "operation stop running". I have tried several time but failed. Also, would like to know why always need to have wifi access in order to upgrade the version of iPad iOS, what is the purpose of 3G then? This is really nonsense using wifi + 3G iPad. need help ! The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update. -

When I install itunes I received an error message like this:The exception unknown software exception (0Xc06007e) ocurred in the application at location 0x7c812afb. After the installation the computer is showing the message every time.
If you update your QuickTime Player, does that clear up the iTunes message?

After the update to Android 5.0.1 on my Galaxy Note 4, my Galaxy Gear S will not install apps, I get an error message that says "Installation Failed. Try Later. (WO:WO:-1002). I am glad it was a free app I was trying to install (I tried a couple of different ones to see if it was just a bad app and they all failed on the install. The Note 4 and the Gear S seem to be communicating okay via bluetooth (health stuff syncs, Gear S controls the music player on the note 4 Etc. )
Everything that I had installed previously on the gear S still works.
Everthing while in the gear manager seems to be working okay also. I can make changes in the Gear manager on the note 4 and they show up on the gear S. I have an app called watch styler , it let me create a new watch on the Note 4 and that showed up on the Gear S.
The only thing that seems to be not working is installing new apps.
When trying to get a new app it looks like it is working as normal , the dowload shows it is working but it errors out when it goes to install it.

I cannot download and install I-Tunes update. I get error message, "Errors occurred while installing the updates. Choose tools>Download Only". When I do this I get error message that says, "I Tunes has an invalid signature. The download has been removed." What can I do to get update?
Finally got a response from Apple. They suggested I uninstall Itunes, then download and install the latest version. Worked great and I was able to recover all of my purchases.

Installing the latest update on my iPad - error message saying the iPad couldn't synchronize because of an internal error, and then - error message (OxE8004017) when trying to save, and then (2003) when trying to restore - nothing works anymore - On my iPad the only thing I see is a connector cord to iTunes and nothing else.
What can I do ???Same issue for me, recently I started having issues with apps no longer being able to access my Facebook account. But the iPad Facebook account settings will not accept my password, even though the Facebook app and Safari can access my account fine. The only significant events I recall that have occurred that may have triggered this have been that via my Facebook account I killed off a lot of so called authorised connections and I changed my user name, but still have the same email address and password.
I have tried just about every solution put forward on the net, short of a factory restore, back to new, on my iPad.
I have also; deleted my iCloud account, deleted the Facebook app and account, deleted Safari data.
One would think that after I have deleted my account from the iPad that it would ask for both username/email address and password, but it only asks for password, so the username is still stored somewhere that I am unable to delete.
I also see that no one seems to have been able to get an answer from Apple. So I'm guessing they have absolutely no idea themselves.
I am hesitant to put my username on Facebook back to what it was as Facebook only give you a few chances to change your username, then you are locked.
I have iOS 7.1.1 installed.
I did have a lot of respect for Apple and their devices as they just worked, but they are becoming tarnished by ignoring what seems to be a growing issue. -
A recent update download upset my entire itunes program. Unable to use to sync iphone, ipad, etc nor run any other updates. Get runtime error message, Error 7 (windows error 1114) etc...and contact app support team. Says itunes not installed correctly, pls reinstall. tried to no avail.
First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:
