Installing voices into Adobe Captivate 7 (subscription)

Any instructions for how to install voices for TTS in the subscription (Cloud) version of Captivate 7?
Also, any other instructions as to the differences between the standalone version and using the subscription service version, would be appreciated.

Hi ChallengerTroy,
Please follow these steps to get voices installed.
1) Launch Captivate 7.
2) Go to Audio : Speech Management. You should see download voices link in the bottom left hand side of the dialog.
3) Click the link to download it. Once you download it, unzip and run the installer.
4) Re-Launch Captivate
Standalone and subscription versions are SAME. There is no difference in functionality.

You can buy a subscription for captivate from Adobe.com. Select the Subscription option when you add the product to your online cart. You are given a serial number at the end of your purchase. Just copy and paste the serial number when you launch your trial and follow the onscreen instructions to start using your subscription product.

If you own, or are the primary user of, a single-user or volume license Adobe product that is installed on a computer at work, you can also install and use the software on one secondary computer of the same platform at home or on a portable computer. However, you may not run the software simultaneously on both the primary and secondary computers.
No more than one user can use a single-user license Adobe product.

You can open a word document on a button or on an object but you cannot import it. You can import a PowerPoint Slide.

Installing Loquendo Veena Voice for Adobe Captivate

Hi all,
We are intending to purchase Loquendo Veena voice (Indian English). We are using Adobe Captivate 5.5.
After installing this Veena voice will it get automatically listed in the Audio --> Speech Management --> Speech Agent list?
Further, I did check the Loquendo site regarding Veena voice and there is no specific option to BUY or PURCHASE. How to do the purchase of this voice? Any idea?

Installation Problems with Adobe Captivate 6 Subscription

I am running Windows 7 (64 bit). I have a subscription to Adobe Captivate 6 and successfully downloaded the files. However, when trying to install I am running into problems. I have 3 options (install with serial number, start my subscription, install trial). I have tried both the subscription and the trial. It says it needs to sign in with my Adobe ID, however the spinning wheel goes and goes for about 1 minute and finally comes back and tells me it can't sign in because either I'm not connected to the internet or my clock settings are wrong. I AM connected to the internet and my clock settings ARE correct. Help!
When I manually log into my Adobe account, I see a serial number listed with my Captivate subscription. Can I just install with that serial number? Or is there something with the Windows firewall blocking my ability to install this subscription?

Please try the solutions below :
Solution 1: Clean up cached user login information.
    Close the Creative Cloud application.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Delete the opm.db file.
    Launch Creative Cloud.
Solution 2: Reset the Hosts file.
    Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
    Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
    Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
    Search the hosts file for entries that reference Adobe (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
    Save and close the file.

Hi there I want to know how to install new Fonts / Typefaces into Adobe Illustrator CS3?
I am also curious as to how I would install fonts on other Adobe CS applications?

I just dragged and dropped the downloaded ".tff" font files into in Font Book icon in theDock and a new window popped up and just click "Install Font" button.
That works, too. Sets are, more than anything else, just a way to organize your fonts by project. By dropping the font in, it should now be listed in one of the standard headings like "Computer".
The new fonts have automatically loaded into Adobe Illustrator CS3 without having to close it.
Better apps will see when fonts have been enabled or disabled without having to close and restart them. Microsoft Word (and likely the entire Office suite) does not.

Trouble Importing PowerPoint 2003 file into Adobe Captivate 3

I am using Adobe Captivate 3 and am having difficulty importing a owerPoint 2003 file. The file has 26 slides but Captivate only recognizes 17 of them. The powerpoint file has no transitions or animations set that would cause any issues. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
By the way when I open up Powerpoint and import the slides from my original file and do not keep the source formatting, the end file will be come into captivate fine(all 26 slides) but an animation that was not there originally now exists.

You could try just running the PowerPoint and recording it from Captivate as it plays.
You would also want to report the issue as a bug.

How do I caption flash video that I have inserted into adobe captivate 4, or is it even possible?

I have been creating online tutorials for my University's student organization and events department and accesibility issues require that all posted video or tutorials be captioned. This requirement was the main reason that my office purchased Captivate, so I am very hopeful that there is a means to caption video that I insert into a Captivate project. Please let me know.

I am having major issues importing Animated gif's into Adobe Captivate

Hi everyone
Captivate 7 (64 bit) keeps crashing when i import animate gifs into flash.
It's a serious workflow issue for us as the project requires animated gifs.
I don't have any files to supply for this query as i can't even import gif's into a blank doc.
Has any one found a solution for this issue ?
Adobe ?? Have you got a fix for this bug ?

How were the GIF's created? Which version of 7 do you use, you can see the complete version number under Help, About Captivate.
I have been using animated GIF's in 7, they were created with Photoshop. And I know that each frame in the animation has to have a duration that is not 0secs.

Adobe Captivate 7 Subscription Transfer

Our office has a single subscription to Captivate 7 under the Adobe ID of employee #1. Now this work assignment is being transferred to employee #2 on a different workstation, so we need to move the subscription too. Billing, to a company credit card, will not change.
If C7 were managed under our CC Team account that would be simple for me to do, but annoyingly C7 is not part of CC. For obvious reasons I don't want employee #2 to sign in with employee #1's Adobe ID, and in any case employee #2 already has his own Adobe ID in use for CC.
I could start a new C7 subscription and cancel the original, except it's a 12 month subscription so there may be some penalty.
So what do we do?

As a CC Team admin I'm familiar with switching members of my team, but unfortunately that doesn't cover this type of case where the subscription is individual.
I did an online chat with Adobe Customer Service. There's no procedure to move subscriptions between individuals, but here's their suggestion:

Seiminlen: We understand your concern Neil. This could be avoided in such a way that the both the account holder and the successor should agree to change the email address under the subscription before the account holder left the company.
Neil: OK, I see how that could be made to work. I'll give it a try when we're ready to make the switch. Thx.

Will a video inserted in Captivate 7 from my personal computer (event or synchronized) play in a published project on others' computers or do I need to find an online host for my videos?

When I export an HTML5 animation from Edge Animate into Adobe Captivate 8, is there a way to resize the animation once in captivate to fit all devices (PC, tablet, mobile)?

I have a hard time getting the animation to fit all sizes...

It seems that issue you were facing is due to fonts installed on your machine.
Can you try to take the backup of the fonts installed on your machine by copying all the fonts and save on your desktop in a folder .
Once you take the backup then try to delete the fonts that you can from its original location under C drive and restart Captivate 8 and see if that makes any difference .
Note- Let me know if you are using Mac OS as fonts location will be different.
