Installing websphere prob
Hi
When installing websphere you are asked to start the admin server. In win 2000 or NT this calls a service by the name of "IBM WS AdminServer"
or you can use the command net start "IBM WS AdminServer"
I persume there should be an exe for this in the services registry/directory but I haven't got it could anyone tell me where it is installed from or if I am wrong where it is astually is installed.
Thanks
B
in NT, you can find a service under controlpanel>services

JMS Adapter Error after installing Websphere MQ 7.1 Drivers ?
Hi,
I have installed 2 ibm websphere mq 7.1 drivers into "com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda" and deployed using JSPM.
but then after that all my others jms (using JNDI) that previously working fine become error (in red colour).
The error message is :
Channel has internal error, Adapter has not provided any status information about this channel
The jar file are :
com.ibm.mq.jar
com.ibm.mqjms.jar
After i remove back those 2 files the other jms channel back to green colour except those using websphere mq with error missing class file because no driver installed.
please advise.
Thank you and Best Regards
FYI : I am using PI 7.1 EHP1 SP03Hello,
I'm facing the same error. I searched jar files of MQSeries 7.0 where WS Application Server is installed but I couldn't find those:
CL3Export.jar
CL3Nonexport.jar
connector.jar
fscontext.jar
providerutil.jar
rmm.jar
when required files are:
CL3Export.jar
CL3Nonexport.jar
com.ibm.mq.headers.jar
com.ibm.mq.jar
com.ibm.mq.jmqi.jar
com.ibm.mq.pcf.jar
com.ibm.mqjms.jar
connector.jar
dhbcore.jar
fscontext.jar
providerutil.jar
rmm.jar
Does any body can tell me where to find or download the files I'm missing?
Thanks a lot! -
Hi i just installed windows xp 64bit edition, and installed the new 64bit driver for my audigy2 zs, but not all apps were working, so i went back to windows xp pro 32bit, now i'm trying to install my driver with a disk i got from my friend, but each time when i try to install the driver it keep popping up saying that it can not find a soundblaster card, and make sure i installed it correctly.
I have checked all the wireing and even trying to install the drivers from control panel in device manager using the disk. This way works, but it still won't give me full function of the audigy 2. I would like to install my driver using the disk, does anyone know what could be the problem i'm having? Thanx in advance for your reply.
the disk i have is not orginal, but a burnt copy, but it's the same disk i had before that i made a copy for my friend. I recently lost my disk so i borrow it back from him. could this be the problem b/c it's not orginal disk? But how come my friend can use my burnt copy just fine?is there any other way to install my drivers without the cd and still get all of the audigy 2 zs functionality? LIke the sound control on the tray to control my bass and treble? That's the most thing i'm missing. I guess what i'm saying that i can install the drivers by just going through the control panel way, but i can't get the software that's in the disk, so if there is another way please let me know. Thank you. And if u do have a copy of the audigy 2 zs platinum cd please share with me too. Thank you.

So, I finally decided to buy the Zen Micro. Every time I put the installation CD in and run the program, one of those annoying Error boxes pops up. I've tried restarting my computer and that doesn't work. I don't know what to try next. Help.
Is the error regarding crash in DemoShield? If so, then the error is caused by the buggy Apple's QuickTime 7.0. Either uninstall QuickTime 7.0 or install a later version of QuickTime.

Just installed 10G 10.2.0.1 and APEX 3.0.1. Install went fine, get all the right message. I try to log in with admin - no result. I have run the apxxepwd.sql file - twice and using password I passed it in the sql.
I am using http://localhost:8080/apex/apex_admin.
I did run apex_erg_config (doco says apex_erg_config11 - did not see that file).
Do I need to run Apache? Is that a separate install? Did not install in 10G install.
I see many post, what am I doing wrong?Hi,
Using the DBMS_EPG method is not supported with 10g (only 11g and XE), so you should not have run apex_epg_config or apex_epg_config11.
With 10g you should be using an external Apache server (i.e. the OHS).
However, if you search these forums you will probably find a few messages from people who use the DBMS_EPG method successfully with 10g.

Upgrade to fcp 5.1, installed no prob, but can't open as crashes? help
I have osx 10.4.8, and everything seemed to be fine when installing FCP 5.1 I am only installing that and not the entire studio as that is all I want. Anyway all seemed to install fine, and have tried to reinstall several times, but everytime I try to open FCP, it quits unexpectantly and offers to send a report. Was upgrading from FCP HD, but I can;t remember what number, as it has dissappeared, and I am now without FCP completely. can copy and paste the error report if that would help?
they tend to be pretty long ... you can learn how to read th ereport for yourself right here:
http://www.unsanity.org/archives/000342.php
or yes, just go ahead and post the part thats relevant (see above link) and let one of those wise buggers help you out ... i'm signing off for the night

CMC does not work after deploying to Websphere
Description of Problem or Question:
We have an installation of BO XI R2 SP2 on Tomcat (default installation).
Now we installed Websphere Application Server 6.0 on the same server and deployed BO war files on it.
The existing installation of Infoview & CMC on Tomcat works as it did before.
But, CMC that runs on Websphere does not work.
Product\Version\Service Pack\Fixpack (if applicable):
Business Objects XI R2 - Service Pack 2
Tomcat 5.0.27 (installed by default)
Websphere Application Server 6.0.0.2
Relevant Environment Information (OS & version, java or .net & version, DB & version):
Windows 2003 Server R2, Enterprise Edition, SP2
Sporadic or Consistent (if applicable):
Consistent
Steps to Reproduce (if applicable):
Followed all the steps mentioned in "Deploying on WebSphere" section of "xir2_bip_install_en.pdf"
Deployed the following war files from the following location in the order mentioned with context roots as listed.
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\java\applications\sp2updates
webcompadapterSP2.war /businessobjects
jsfadminSp2.war /jsfadmin
jsfplatform.war /jsfplatform
adminSP2.war /businessobjects/enterprise115/adminlaunch
desktopSP2.war /businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch
stylesSP2.war /styles
http://localhost:9080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch
Infoview works as expected.
http://localhost:9080/businessobjects/enterprise115/admin
CMC doesnot work. IE Says "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error".
What has already been tried (where have you searched for a solution to your question/problem):
On searching the web-forums, I found this:
http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?t=112151
So, I tried to install WCA for Websphere. The scenario mentioned in that article deals with new installation of BO.
But, since ours is an existing installation, I cannot install WCA for websphere.
I do not want to re-install BO.
Please advise.
Thanks,
ChrisHi,

both services OracleTNSListner and OracleServiceXE are started. ...as you said, my .ora files are not right due to the failed install.
anything in the registry from instant client that could be killing our install? the services start and then in the "configuring database" section, it just hangs - no CPU, no disk - must be a network hang.... ...then the install finishes (doesn't say sucess or failure)...
thanks!

When selecting Arch in Grub I'm getting the error "You need to load the kernal first". I'm not sure where I've gone wrong. I followed the Beginner's Guide very carefully, I read through the installing Grub section a dozen times and even the section about installing it on the Grub page; I later used Helmuthdu's script to see if that would work since it's automated and would hopefully avoid making the same mistakes I may have made but even that didn't work.
Here's my grub.cfg file, hopefully someone can spot what I can't.
As a sidenote, I installed os-prober before running grub-mkconfig, yet Windows hasn't shown up in Grub. I'm not sure if the two problems are related or not; I'm more worried about not being able to log into Arch at the moment though.

Here is the explanation. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2066130
unfortunately, nobody here wants to say WHY.
it's because os-prober tends to read other OSes' grub.cfg. And the UUID=ad4103fa-d940-47ca-8506-301d8071d467 comes from some builder's disk partition.
it's so easy to solve now. -
Oracle 11g R1 ADF faces app on Websphere 8
So I installed websphere 8 on a linux machine. It worked fine.
I am now trying to install the ADF Libraries 11.1.1.2 onto websphere. I downloaded just the framework from the oracle website. There is no Jdeveloper on the server.
Anyways Websphere 8 is installed as root
where as the libraries were downloaded and unziped as Oracle.
So before signing in as oracle I do
xhost +
su oracle
now I have ran the installer from the Disk1 location and Disk1/linux64 location as well---but I get an error

Edited by: Aj05 on Mar 30, 2012 7:58 AMI will look into that.
One more question that I wanted to ask was: When I am instaling the IBM Websphere should I be installing that under the Oracle user or Root. Since the Oracle Universal Installer will only work under Oracle.
I was thinking Oracle?
