Installing Wireless Mouse on MacBook 13"

I am planning to install Windows Vista on my MacBook 13". I am wondering how do I install Wireless Mighty Mouse after installation is done; because I know that I will have to use wired mouse (correct?) during the installation process.
Thanks for help!

After the Windows installation is complete and you have booted into Windows for the first time (You will be at the Windows Desktop), and as per instructions in the Boot Camp Guide, you should insert the Leopard installation disk in the drive. This action will automatically install the Windows drivers for the version of windows that you have installed. This includes the bluetooth drivers. Once this is done then bluetooth will have been activated and you should be able to pair the wireless mouse with your system under windows.

  • Logitech Wireless Mouse and MacBook Pro

    Greetings.
I'm thinking about buying a Logitech wireless mouse for my MacBook Pro. The mouse comes with a USB wireless card. Will I need to use this or will the wireless/bluetooth card in the MacBook pick up the mouse by itself?
    Cheers,
    John

I don't understand your problem. Is it that you can't see the arrow or what? You say the button and all work fine so I am stumped by your question. I have problems with my mouse being recognized by the MBP but I just turn off mouse, restart laptop then turn on mouse and it comes back up. If I ever put my MBP to sleep I shut the mouse off first and wait until it says mouse disconnected or whatever it says..I can't recall. Then I put the MBP to sleep. Once I wake it up turn mouse back on and voila..works!! Maybe try pushing the little "Connect" button on the bottom of the mouse that might help. I have never tried that but just a suggestion.
Sorry if this is all confusing.

  • Using a external laser wireless mouse with MacBook Pro

Recently I have been having a couple situations where when I move my wireless mouse the pointer lags around and is very jumpy. Not precise at all. This happens only when using the external and not the track pad at all. I want to say it is because the receiver is plugged into the left side of the laptop and I am right handed and maybe there is some interference? Can anyone let me know if they are experiencing the same issues and if there is a good fix. Thank you!

I would try putting the mouse just on the left hand side near the receiver to narrow down the issue and see if your still having those problems. If your still having that problem I would get a new mouse and if your not well then you know your problem. Good-luck

  • Wireless keyboard and wireless mouse on macbook 10.4.11

    hello,
I recently bought wireless mac keyboard and magic mouse for my macbook with 10.4.11 version.
The basic functions of the keyboard (letter keys work, numpad works) and mouse work (move cursor, left&right click) , but the special keys on keyboard and touch gestures don't work.
Is there anything I could do to make the special keys on keyboard & magic mouse gestures work on my macbook?

The Magic Mouse is not compatible with your operating system. See here, at the bottom:
    http://www.apple.com/magicmouse/
I imagine that your new wireless keyboard, if it's Apple branded, is this one, which is also not compatible with your OS:
    http://www.apple.com/keyboard/
Again, the system requirements are on that page. They should also have been on the boxes at the store or on the web site before you bought them.
You need to upgrade to either 10.5 (Leopard; call the Apple phone sales line, as there are no more available in stores) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard; available everywhere Mac software is sold).

  • Why is my new wireless mouse jerky on my macbook pro?

I've been using a cheap Dynex wireless mouse (as well as a wired mouse when I'm at work) on this MacBook for a while with no problems whatsoever. The Dynex's buttons are starting to malfunciton, so I went to buy a new mouse....
1st try -- I got some cheap Microsoft mouse from Best Buy. The movement was very erratic and jerky. I downloaded and installed the mouse software and adjusted settings there, to no avail.
2nd try -- I bought a slightly more expensive Logitech M510 wireless mouse. It felt slightly different, but the result was essentially the same. The movement is jerky -- erratic. Sometimes, the mouse jumps inches across the screen instead of moving in a slow steady manner like it's supposed to. It appears to worsen when I boot up and play a game on the computer.
Given the fact that the same problem occurred with two different new mice, but not with the old worn-out one, I must assume that  there is some incompatability between MacBook Pros and newer models of wireless mice. I can't seem to find any consistent "known issue" pages on this. Anyone know what I should do now? Any ideas?
    MacBook Pro
    15-inch, Late 2011
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
    Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 11G63b)

The wireless mice you're buying.... are they 2.4GHz wireless ones (the ones that come with their own micro-dongle) or Bluetooth?  If they're the 2.4GHz wireless ones, go buy yourself a good bluetooth one.  Your Mac has bluetooth in it and can connect to one of these mice without the need to use the dongle that comes with them.  I've seen a quite a bit of issues (jerky movement due to low battery too far away or other movement problems) with the non-bluetooth wireless ones.
Also, be aware that if the mice you're using are laser based, the movement will be laggy and jerky if they're not used on the proper surface.  Only the more expensive ones have better laser systems in them that can be used on multiple surfaces, but still not all.

  • Wireless mouse dongle not found macbook pro

    Hi,
I have a Gigavyte ECO600 Wireless mouse and a late-2011 Macbook Pro.. I normally have a lot of USB devices that I need to have plugged in so when I got my Macbook Pro I just continued to use my mouse plugged into my USB hub along with my other devices. But recently I was out somewhere and I just wanted to bring my mouse along with me and when I plugged the wireless dongle straight into the usb port it wouldn't recognize my mouse. I messed around with settings and tried to reinstall the drivers but that didn't work. Also it acts the same on bootcamp, is says usb device not recognized. When I got home I plugged it back into my USB hub and it worked. It's not really a big inconvenience but it's kind of strange and I'd like to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution?

I have the exact same problem on the same machine.  I also have a macbook pro that is the next newer model and that one works fine, it is only this machine.  I too have tried all the same steps and it occurred right after installing Yosemite.  I find it difficult to believe that 2 or more of us had the same hardware failure at the exact same time.

My MacBook keyboard and track pad stopped functioning after pairing an Apple wireless mouse and keyboard. Any suggestions?

I deleted the mouse by selecting it in the bluetooth options and clicking the minus tab. I went ahead and reinstalled OS X right afterwards. Right now I am having to use a USB mouse and keyboard. I disconnected both prior to start up. I get a widow that shows a demonstration on how to install batteries into a wireless mouse only way to pass that screen was to reattach the USB mouse. Then with a fresh startup no resolve.

  • Macbook Pro Retina (15") can't connect to wireless mouse and external USB keyboard

    Hi All,
I got my new MacBook Pro Retina (15 inch) about 3 weeks ago. It works fine. I got a 30" Dell screen that I am using via thunderbolt/usb adapter. Also, I am using a thunderbolt ethernet adapter. Both adapters work fine without any problems.
I have an apple usb keyboard connected to the USB hub of the screen, as well as my iphone cable. It is a regular, full size apple keyboard. In addition to this, I have a logitech nano connected directly to the right usb port of the macbook pro.
This setup was working well until a few days ago. I lost connectivity with my mouse. Initially, I thought the batteries are empty. After replacing them, I still had no connection (again, the usb receiver is *directly* connected to the macbook).
I changed a few cables here and there and noticed that I can get either the keyboard to work or the mouse but not both at the same time. A reboot did not help.
Did anybody encounter such a strange problem already? If so, what could I possibly do?
    Thank You,
    --Martin

    Hello nikkig00,
It is certainly difficult to use the computer if your wireless keyboard and mouse do not connect.  I found a few resources I recommend for this issue.
I recommend reviewing this article first:
Troubleshooting wireless mouse and keyboard issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3048
If the issue persists, I recommend reviewing the section titled "Top troubleshooting tips" in the article below.  Step 9 specifically stands out to me for the issue you described:
    9. Restart your computer
Sometimes a simple restart of your Mac is all it takes to get things running smoothly again. You may also want to try resetting your computer's PRAM and NVRAM.
    Bluetooth Quick Assist

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Wireless mouse doesn't work after installing iTunes

New 30Gb iPod, installed iTunes v6 on 6-mos old HP laptop with docking station/wireless keyboard/mouse. All is well, updated iTunes with latest from web, loaded songs on iPod BUT now wireless mouse will not work. Reset mouse, works for a few clicks, then dies. Reset mouse again, few more clicks, then dies. Reboot without iPod connected, no iTunes up, still mouse only works for a couple clicks. Touchpad on laptop works, also so does wireless keyboard so I know transmitter is working (not battery problem). All worked fine until I started playing with options in iTunes today. I didn't uninstall iTunes yet, is that next step? Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions???

I'm pretty sure it's probably just your mouse/computer, however I would recommend uninstalling iTunes just to make sure though.

  • Wireless mouse does not work after installing new batteries

I have a PowerBook G4 and have been using a wireless mouse and keyboard. The batteries needed to be replaced in my mouse. I successfully installed new batteries. The mouse will turn on. The LED blinks. But the mouse is not functioning. I must use the finger pad on the machine. I double checked the battery installation and even set-up the mouse as a device again. When I turn the mouse off, I get a "connection" lost window on the screen. I have tried
clicking the mouse to re-establish connection with no luck.
    Any suggestions?

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86468
I had the same problem today - go to the above URL and follw precisely the instructions - after you delete the current mouse settings from your bluetooth preferences - apparently you have to sometimes reinstall the mouse after changing batteries - however I changed them before and did not need to do this
    hope this helps
