Installing x264 plug in into compressor

i have seen this macbreaks video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSfirGa-Dvg&feature=player_embedded#, i don't have that on my compressor how do I install it?

Given the complexity of the settings of the x.264 encoder component, if you don't know your system well enough to know how the system works and where stuff goes, you may be better off not messing about with such things.

  • How to install realplayer plug-in into safari,

    Hi,
i'm using safari for window (WinXP),
as at IE i could use video download from real-player but can't at safari,
how can i install real player plug-in into safari?
so safari also can having the same option for video download

Your Macbook runs Mac OSX, while your iPad runs iOS. These are two completely different operating systems, meaning that just because you can do something in one it doesn't necessarily follow that you can do the same in the other (you wouldn't, for example, try to open an app on your Macbook by touching it would you? )
You can install small Java scripts in the form of bookmarklets (services such as instapaper take advantage of this to provide some sort of integration with mobile Safari), but Java plugins cannot be installed. As for the future, who can say? But I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...

  • Installing Old Plug-ins into CS5

Is it possible to install old plug-ins (plugins) into Adobe Photoshop CS5?
I have tried a couple of my old plug-ins and could not get any to show up under the Filters menu.
    I installed to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins
I tried installing Noise Ninja 2.3.2.
I tried installing Kodak GEM AIR Pro.
    I tried installing Phototune SkinTun.
No luck with any of them.
I also tried installing a couple to
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Filters

No one is likely to have a FIX, per se.
32 bit plug-ins only work with 32 bit Photoshop, while only 64 bit plug-ins work with 64 bit Photoshop.  I suspect the 32/64 bit mismatch may be at the root of the problem you're seeing, Hawaii-geek.
Plug-ins generally need to be installed in the new version of Photoshop.
For 32 bit plugins, maybe, just MAYBE, for an individual plugin you can find a way to copy the proper file(s) so that Photoshop CS5 will find them under its OWN Plug-ins subfolder.  Photoshop enumerates plugins it finds there when it first starts.  But this is not a given as a plug-in may set up things other than just the files when it is installed.
The one thing to remember is that you ABSOLUTELY MUST NOT point the "Extra Plug-ins Folder" at the Plug-ins folder of an old Photoshop installation.  Doing so will mix plugins supplied with the older Photoshop version with your new Photoshop version, and this WILL cause you problems.
HangtownGal is using that feature right.  For simple one-file plugins, you should be able to point every version of Photoshop to a common separate plug-ins folder, but keep in mind the 32 vs. 64 bit issue I mentioned above.  As Chris states, 32 bit Photoshop will only load 32 bit plug-ins, and 64 bit Photoshop will only load 64 bit plug-ins (which are reasonably rare still).  And keep in mind more complex plugins often are sets of files that are sometimes copied to a number of different places in the Photoshop installation area.
Why is it you think someone else needs to FIX this problem?
Did you not keep the installation package and/or instructions you got with your old plugins?  For those that cannot be installed into a Photoshop version that didn't even exist when they were released, have you checked to see if there are updates available from the plugin manufacturers?  You may very well have to pay to upgrade these.  You paid to upgrade Photoshop, so is that a problem?

    Hi:

Next it said to add /configure --- and etc where do I add this information.

Apache's newsgroup would have been a better place to ask this question. Anyways
here's the thing you need to do:
The DSO (Dynamic Shared Object) support in Apache is based on a module named
              mod_so.c
which needs to be enabled before mod_wl.so is loaded. To enable mod_so.c follow
              the instructions
included with the distribution of Apache to manually configure Apache with the
              following parameters:
              ./configure --prefix=<destination directory>
              --enable-module=so
              --enable-rule=SHARED_CORE
Continue following the Apache installation instructions to make and install
              Apache.
This is also explained in the "Installing the Apache-WebLogic Server Plug-in"
              document. Also
refer to the installtion documents for Apache.
              --Vinod.

You should review the Apache documentation. It appears that you need to
build apache with shared object support -- this is typically called dso
    I believe.
    Thanks,

  • How can install the Fractal Image plug-in into Firefox for Windows 7?

I have the plug-in necessary to view fractal images built with the now no longer Iterated Systems program "Fractal Imager." These are files with the .fif extension and the plug-in is needed to view them. The plug in I have is fully functional. The problem I am having is that I needed instructions on how to upload this plug-in into Firefox for Windows.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

  • I'm trying to install the Camera Raw plug-in into Photoshop CS5 but it keeps failing

Hi - I'm trying to install Camera Raw plug-in into Photoshop CS5 but it keeps failing - I don't keep any reasons at all. The product is registered - please help!

Which version of Camera Raw? Which camera?
Familiarize yourself with these two tables
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
They tell you which version of Camera Raw is required to support your camera. The also tell you which version of Camera Raw is compatible with your CS5 (up to version 6.7 only).
It may be that the version of Camera Raw you need is not compatible with CS5.

  • Hi, I tried installing the new software update to my iPod touch this morning, got an error message that I could not finish installing it, and now my iPod is completely unresponsive, please help? It won't respond when I plug it into iTunes or anything.

Hi, thank you for helping me! Every time I plug it into the USB port of my computer, there is an image on my iPod touch that shows a USB cord and tells me to plug it into iTunes, but it is completely unresponsive. I have tried holding the home and power buttons simultaneously for 15 seconds, and that does not do anything either. Any ideas? Thank you so much!

Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
    Next try DFU mode.

  • How do I install Mapature Pro plug-in into Aperture 3.4.3?

I have MaperturePro.dmg but can't get Aperture to recognize it. I know that it worked fine on my old MBP.  Thanks!!!

I have MaperturePro.dmg but can't get Aperture to recognize it.
Have you run the installer by double clicking the .dmg? If not, first run the installer to install the plug-in in your system library.
And you will need to restore the registration code. This cannot be done the regular way anymore - Übermind Software discontinued the plug-in and so you cannot register it any longer with Übermind. You will have to migrate the registration information from your old Mac or a backup of your old mac.
Quit Aperture on your new mac. Log off and on again.
Retrieve the file "com.ubermind.aperture.edit.MaperturePro.plist" from the "Preferences" folder in your User library on your old mac.
    Then restore it
in the "Preferences" folder in the User Library on your new MBP:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.ubermind.aperture.edit.MaperturePro.plist
And in the sandbox - the "Containers" folder in the User Library on your new MBP:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/Data/Library/Preferences/com.ubermind.aper ture.edit.MaperturePro.plist
In Mt. Lion your user library is hidden.  To reveal it, use the Finder's "Go" menu.
Click somewhere on your empty Desktop to bring the Finder forward, then you'll see "Go" in the Finder's main menu bar.
Then hold down the options key ⌥ until "library" appears in the drop down menu. Click Library to open.
Then scroll down to the "Preferences" folder and afterwards to the "Containers" folder.
After restoring the plist file, launch Aperture and try the plug-in again.
