Good day,
I was trying to install the ZCM11.2.1 Agent onto a SLED11Sp2 desktop, I have JRE 1.7.0_05-fcs and novell-zenworks-jre-links 1.6.0_16-2 installed, however; when I run the Preagent..bin file I get the following,
Cannot continue - JRE version 1.6 required
Exiting with error code -22

If I was to move anything I would move the SCCM Client cache instead of the installdir as the client cache per default will grow to 5GB, you can use the SMSCACHEDIR property when installing the SCCM client as the example shows on Technet here:CCMSetup.exe SMSCACHEDIR="C:\Temp"

Error while Installing Apache Tomcat policy agent in openAM

I trying to install Apache Tomcat Policy agent in Linux environment but I am getting the following error after i provided all the details.

Do I need Install VS in test agent

Hi. I have test agent in my local TFS 2013. I try execute remotely CodedUI Test from Build Definition. But I see error:

The beauty deploying SCOM agents to Linux Systems is that it does not depend on Kerberos. If the Linux Systems is Domain joined or not does not matter. In both cases the authentication occurs using certificates which are signed by the SCOM Servers. You Need
just to make sure that:
Port 22 (SSH) and 1270 (WS-Man) are open / reachable
DNS works both ways and pointers (reverse look up) is configured.
Make sure the Linux System Name is same as DNS if not check

Apache does not start after installing the policy web agent

We get the following error when we start the apache webserver on linux which has opensso policy agent installed/configured to it.

Once I had an iAS 1.0.2.2 running without problems. However after installing Patch 7 for Forms (released 27 august 2001) I get exactly the same error messages as Pieter. I have tried starting apache as administrator, comment out mod_ose, set wv_gateway_cfg, but none seem to work. Please help.

How to install and configure management agents on Tru64 Cluster

We are busy rolling out the Oracle 10g Grid Control to our enterprise and one of our targets is a two-node Tru64 cluster with shared file systems, i.e., each node can see (read/write) the file systems concurrently. Trucluster software is responsible for the clustering management.
On node1 we have a set of databases each with its own dedicated listener; the same for node2. Each cluster managed service set has its own logical hostname. For example, we have on node1:
db1 (database)
listener-db1 (listener for db1)
node-db1 (logical hostname for db1 service)
Upon switchover or failover, the database and listener are brought up on node2 and we need to cater for this in our management agent configuration. I am trying to work out how we install and configure the management agents in such a configuration. Has anyone done this or does anyone know how to set up the agents suitably?
I have already installed the agent on one of the nodes - that worked fine, and I have even managed to start another agent up using the installed software home on the other node using "agentca -f"

I started trying to push the agent from OMS. It worked as far as running the installer then failed.
Trying a silent install now from the client and I'm getting this error -

Where is Agent Home set?

Installing a Grid Management agent on AIX 5.3

I have downloaded the Grid Management Agent 10.2.0.3.0 for Oracle 10G from the oracle downloads website and installed on one of my AIX servers but after running through the installation the server does not show up in Grid Control.
Our Grid Control is running on RH4 server.
The platform of the host server i am attempting to install the agent on is AIX5.3
I downloaded and unzipped the following file AIX_Grid_Control_agent_download_10_2_0_3_0.zip
I ran the i./runInstaller from the aix/agent directory no errors reported however when I did this it did not show me a OUI page as I expected where I could insert Grid hostname etc
I assumed after running the installer I would then see the target host appear in my grid control server but no servernmae/agenst/db appears in grid control for this host
I have read a plethora of help/installation files on this subject matter and there seems to be a variety of different ways users are saying to install.
Some WebPages/help files say simply run the installer from the root directory of the Enterprise Manager DVD others give a completely different way of installing.
Can anyone who has successfully loaded on a Grid Management Agent give me any pointers as to:
1 – Why my installation appears to have failed
2 – A stepe by step guide on what users need to be added if any, what account I should install under etc

How to install ONLY Remote Management Agent ?

Is anybody know how to install on windows WS only RM part of ZEN Agent:
Remote Managemet, Mirror Driver ?
Without Application launcher that I can't remove from option list during
setup (I launch ZfDAgent.msi) and without X-Tier part.
After such installation the additional ZEN prompt window for login/password
appears during Windows start-up.
Can you tell how to remove it?

How to install and configure OEM agent in VCS cluster

Hi there,
I would like install 11g OEM agent for SUN SPARC OS for two node VCS cluster. OEM repository is residing in another server.
Database (to be configured) is running on one node of VCS cluster, but it will be able to failover other server for any issues.
I have downloaded the agent for sparc and planning to do the silent install.
Could you please give me the steps to configure both nodes of the cluster including the parameters which need to be changed in the response file?

We are using OEM agents on VCS clusters. Some options are to 1) fail-over the agent with the database; 2) manually inform OEM that an instance has moved using emcli relocate_targets; 3) use VCS to relocate_targets through a fail-over script. Since our databases don't move much we have been using option 2 but are now testing option 3.

you need to install the package trouser and opencryptoki .and start the PKCS11 daemon.

Post DPM 2012 r2 install.. DPM Agents showing "needs update" even though at version 4.2.1205.0

I've done a migration from Dpm 2010 all the way up to 2012 R2 at this point.. on x64..
There were previous clients on the system using version 3.x of the agent.. i tried the install update option in the gui on the server but found I had to manually uninstall the old dpm agent on each server and then install the new agent..
Now on the dpm server it still says each one needs updated.. I ran a refresh, rebooted both the server with the agent and the dpm server to no avail..
How do I get the dpm server to realize that verison 4.2.1205.0 is installed? I think this is a sql db update issue.. i do not want to have to delete the whole protection
group and start over.. its quite massive..

Edit: did i need to set a dpm server name upon running each agent install.. i didnt do this thus far..
