Instance not coming up during starting perticularly dispatcher too...???

Hi Gurus,
               My sap instance going down & it is showing yellow color at SAP management console and some time times dispatcher not starting and its status color is brown color. I heard that at WORK directory we can find the solution... If so, how to find solution and how to bring the system up........?
Thanks in Advance...!!!!!!!!
Regads,
BBR.

Yes you need to check the logs in the work directory.(/usr/sap/SID/DV*/work)
Please check the logs with starting DEV_.........
If you have java system then you can check the logs std_server.out,std_dispatcher.out. in the same work directory.
Did you do kernel upgrade or updated the profile parameters thet can be also the reason of system not comming up .Please ckeck the logs and you shall come to know.
thanks

    Managed Server is Not coming UP from STARTING state

    Hi,
    Please try the following options:
    1) Apply -D_Offline_FileDataArchive=true
    The WebLogic Diagnostics Framework creates the diagnostic store (DAT) file which is used for different purposes. The initial size of the store file is about 1M.
    Here are the details of the parameter suggested: -D_Offline_FileDataArchive=true
    The above parameter is a (undocumented and unsupported) system property that disables WLDF indexing on the log file.
    Engineering has delivered an undocumented system property to disable the file archive indexing task (-D_Offline_FileDataArchive=true),
    This property will disable incremental as well as full indexing of WLDF archiving, if property is not properly applied, you can see a File Indexer timer kicks in for every 30 seconds.
    2) WLW page-flow event reporter may be creating several entries in the diagnostics store
    apply -Dcom.bea.wlw.netui.disableInstrumentation=true
    3) Disable JDBC profiling. (Under JDBC/datasource_name/diagnostics uncheck all the options there)
    If JDBC profiling is turned on, it inserts profiling data into the diagnostic store, which can cause it to grow.
    4) Disable Harvesting (change the value for Profile Harvest Frequency Seconds to zero)
    5) try setting the "synchronous-write-policy" parameter in the server configuration to "Cache-Flush". This bypasses the "direct I/O" code in the file store.
    Servers--->Configuration--->Services--->Default Store you can set the synchronous-write-policy to Cache-Flush
    Synchronous Write Policy:
    The disk write policy that determines how the file store writes data to disk.
    This policy also affects the JMS file store's performance, scalability, and reliability. The valid policy options are:
    * Direct-Write
    File store writes are written directly to disk. This policy is supported on Solaris, HP-UX, and Windows. On Windows systems, this option generally performs faster than the Cache-Flush option writes.
    * Disabled
    Transactions are complete as soon as their writes are cached in memory, instead of waiting for the writes to successfully reach the disk. This policy is the fastest, but the least reliable (that is, transactionally safe). It can be more than 100 times faster than the other policies, but power outages or operating system failures can cause lost and/or duplicate messages.
    * Cache-Flush
          Transactions cannot complete until all of their writes have been flushed down to disk. This policy is reliable and scales well as the number of simultaneous users increases.
    HTH

  • SQL server instance not getting detected during SCOM 2012 R2 Installation

    Hi All,
    This is related to the below thread which i created. But i wanted to test this practically in a LAB equipment
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/96feece7-c168-4f42-b62e-4c0c20f8d525/does-scom-2012-2012-r2-setup-detect-a-sql-instance-of-a-sql-server-in-the-same-network-which-is-in?forum=operationsmanagerdeployment
    So i want to install SCOM in my domain, But i want to use a SQL server in my network which is in another domain.
    So i have 4 server machines as below:
    SERVER_DC1 - Domain controller of 1st domain.
    SERVER_DC2 - Domain controller of 2nd domain.
    SERVER_SQL - SQL server 2012 Enterprise installed for SCOM but is in Domain 1
    Server_SCOM - I want to install SCOM in this but which is in domain 2
    I created a trust relation between 2 domains with a Forest trust 2 way transitive.
    I have created a security group and added that as SQL Admin during the installation. Later i added one Domain administrator account from Domain 2 to this security group.
    When i do a installation in SERVER_DC1 for testing the SQL instance is being detected as below.
    When i do the installation in Server_SCOM which is in another domain then the instance is not getting detected.
    I have turned off windows firewall in all the machines.
    Before creating the trust i ran the setup in Server_SCOM then it was giving me a warning saying it is not able to access the SQL server due to permission issues.
    After giving permissions my instance is not at all getting detected.
    Can any one help plz.
    Gautam.75801

    Hi Yan Li,
    Really a helpful post. I tested the connection. I connected to the SQL server in Domain A using a server in domain B logged in as a domain B user to whom the SQL permissions are provided. The result says It was successful.
    Below is the screenshot.
    I don't understand why is it not getting detected in the SCOM setup.
    But 1 more important thing which i forgot to mention.
    When i log on to the server in which i want to install SCOM in domain B, But by using Domain A's user account (Added as a local user in SCOM server in domain B), Then the Instance is getting detected.
    Below is a screenshot of that.
    So has any one faced such a type of issue ?

    Dear Experts,
    We have implemented Dataguard, Uisng Maximum performance with real time apply (redo log apply). Redo logs are apply from primary to standby perfectly. And the SAP Instances are up and running, when we create a user in primary its reflecting in standby server.
    When i do the the switchover from primary <--> standby. There is no communication between R3 and database. I have refered the Note 400241, have not got the solution. I changed the password of the OPS$ user uisng brtools utility. Still getting the r3trans return code 0012.

    Hi Nisar,
    We would like to implement the data guard , the system landscapes are also similar to your site. Can u pls give me the documentation which explains step by step configuration. We are not able to activate oracle enterprise manager where the configuration is slightly simple. Is it possible to have the primary and standy database with same db_name?. Pls help to proceed further.

  • Signature status not coming correct during silent printing. Bug?

    Am using javascript inside my plugin to get the signature status in Acrobat 9.3.  Below is the code.
    sprintf(jsScript,"var f = this.getField('%s').signatureInfo(); event.value = f.status; ",strSigField);ASBool bRet = AFExecuteThisScript (gPDDoc, jsScript, &pReturnValue);
    This is working fine, except during slient printing.  Everytime including normal print, am getting the status as '4' i.e. signed which is correct.
    However, while printing silently in Acrobat either via code or manually by Right-clicking on the pdf in Explorer and selectting Print, am getting '1' i.e. unknown status for signed signature fields.
    Have also tried executing the menu item "Advanced->Sign & Certify->Validate All Signatures" before trying to get the status but am getting the same result.
    Please let me know if anyone else has also experienced the same issue and what is the cause/resolution of the same or this is a bug in Acrobat?

    Irosenth,
    Submitted a bug report and uploaded the sample pdf at http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Z5P8STOL.
    Let me know if any further information is required.

  • Aluminum keyboard not being recognized during start-up on 2006 Mac Mini

    I have a 2006 model 1.83ghz Core Duo Mac Mini.
    I purchased an Apple Aluminum keyboard to use with the Mini.
    The keyboard works fine, in general.
    However, upon rebooting, the keyboard is not recognized for initiating commands.
    For example, holding the Option key down does not bring up the Startup manager screen,
    holding down the C key will not allow booting from an Apple Leopard DVD,
    holding down Command S will not initiate single user mode.
    The keyboard firmware update has been installed.
    I have tried different Aluminum keyboards on the computer, with the same result.
    The aluminum keyboard works at startup on a 2007 Intel iMac.
    I also have a 2007 model 2.0ghz Mac Mini,
    it does not have any problems recognizing an Aluminum keyboard at startup.
    I have had the logic board replaced under Apple Care, this did not help.
    Apple products simply should just work together.
    Daryl Woods

    This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I have the same issue with this $%*& keyboard and my iMac CD (January 2006). A Mac that is less than 3 years old should not be made less functional by a basic peripheral like a keyboard. If Apple can't or won't address this issue they should at least make the previous generation keyboard - that functioned fine - available.
    I had to replace my original keyboard and am now stuck with a less than functional, newer one... pretty unbelievable.

  • Monitor not coming on at start up

    hello, had loads of junk on pc, week off work decided to have a re-install. came down this morning and my monitor wouldn't turn on from it's sleep state no anything. i powered off the monitor and left pc on, turned monitor back on and it was fine. i just want to know could this be a driver problem? i installed the chipset drivers from my disk and grx drivers latest from msi site. this is the first time i loaded chipset drivers from disk i download to flash from site last time.
    screen is recognised by windows and has loaded the driver (v1).

  • Oracle 11g database instance is not coming up

    Hi,
    I have installed Oracle DB 11g(11.2.0) on windows 2003 server.
    everythig was running fine. Later according to my product requirement i turned ON the archive log and started running my product services which was creating more records to the database. During the process Database instance has gone down and its not coming up.
    i had set the following parameter to trun on the archive log.
    ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST = 'C:\app\user\flash_recovery_area\BOOKTST';
    ALTER SYSTEM SET DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE = 2G;
    ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE;
    Please help me to solve this problem, oracle DB services and tnslistener are running successfully but the database instance is not coming up.
    Thanks
    Krishna

  • IMac making beeping noises. Not during start-up.

    My iMac is a 20'' Intel based. I got it early 2007, it was the generation right before they released the 24''.
    I am running all the latest updates that I can find/am aware of.
    My iMac is making beeping noises. The kind that come from inside the computer, alerting me about something bad happening to my hardware. It is NOT beeping at me during start up. It beeps 3 different tones at me. Not all 3 every time, but overall it will beep 3 different tones at me. There is no order as to how many beeps or what tones. The noise seems to be coming from the bottom left hand corner of the computer, if you were facing it like you were using it.
    While I understand that something in the computer is failing or flailing, I cannot find any documentation or even forum posts on this topic. Every single place I search always yields pages about the 3 beep RAM notification at start up. This is very frustrating and not helpful.
    Can anyone give me any more info about what is failing in my computer? Or at least stop my search and assure me that its something I will have to send it in for?
    It makes the beeps the whole time it is running. Anytime a new webpage is loading, anytime I bring up my dashboard, anytime I open up a new finder window. Pretty much anytime the computer has to do anything. It isn't beeping as I type this post, but as soon as I click 'Post Message' it will beep at me.
    I just reset PRAM or whatever it is they suggest you reset. I have reseated my RAM.
    I am going crazy and need some help.

    Run Apple Hardware Test (AHT) on your machine, it is on the original DVD that came with your computer or you can access it by holding down the "D" key when starting your Mac.
