Instances, mandants et montée de Version (ECC6)
Bonjour,
L'idée est de savoir avec nos licences, déjà existantes avec le package NetWeaver, les possibilités d'installation.
En effet nous voudrions pouvoir avoir :
- plusieurs instances pour un module donnée (instance de formation, de maquettage, bac à sable...) et pouvoir également sauvegarder avec une de copie des différents mandants.
- installer les modules SAP IS-U FI-CA HP5 (ECC6 avec intégration avec FI-CO, SD et PM), SAP CRM 7.1 ou 7.2, SAP BW 7.3 , SAP BO4 (voir l'adhérence avec BW et si notre licence de démo nous le permet actuellement),Portail, Solman et PI.

U cant create XML data in ABAP.
to send the data to the XI, u have to use the IDOC or RFC FM, from there IDOC or RFC adapters will read the data in the same format and these adapters will convert the data in to XML .Bcoz XI understand only XML data.
from there XI will process and route them to Destination, by using anthor adapter.
here u can use file adapter if u want data in file foramat from the IDOC or RFC .
So XI is the integration tool only.

Now i am involving in Technical Upgradation from 4.6C to ECC60.I want to know some information regarding transportation of Z objects in older version to newer version(ECC6.0).Please help me in this regard.
like tables,dataelements,domains,reports,scripts,smartforms,userexists,Variants,report layouts(all are z objects),text elements.In the above list which will be transported automatically and regarding which abapers have to takencare i mean to say which will be not transported automatically...

ERP Upgrade: Changes in Reporting in new version ECC6.0
Hi Gurus,
We are just in upgrade process from 4.7c to ECC 6.0. During the test we ascertained that there are certain changes happened in the reporting functions und the reports are not showing some necessary fields in new version. For instance the reports RFDOPO00 and RFKOPO00 are replaced by RFDEPL00 and RFKEPL00 in ECC 6.0, which do not show some important fields of old report. SAP says they are standard reports in ECC 5.0 /6.0.
How can we maintain old reports (in general, not specifically these above mentioned reports) from 4.7c in our new upgraded system ahead instead of new reporting standard of ECC6.0.
Please tell me the steps to solve this problem.

SIMNo, there is slightly difference in reporting between both versions ERP 4.7C and ECC 6.0. For instance in old version 4.7c we can produce reports (RFDOPO00 and RFKOPO00) with Subtotal and Total by currency by making check mark on both these items. In new version this items has been removed. There are also some more items which are not offered by SAP in new version.
As we have decided to keep some old reports in new system, Can you therefore please tell me how we can keep the old reports in new version? -
Email triggering program in version ECC6
Hello experts,
In version 4.6c, program RSCONN01 will trigger all email requests waiting in the queue to be sent out. After upgrading to ECC6, the same email requests now have status of 'Still no entry in queue' and never be triggered by the program. SAP has recommended to put a COMMIT WORK as a pamameter to the function module or as an ABAP statement in the calling program to send emails. This can lead to program errors if COMMIT WORK is not put at the right place.
Did SAP create a replacement program that can be used to trigger those email requests with such status? Do you have any other ideas or solutions? Please help!

Chuong Lein ST05 there is an option for RFC trace. Not sure how much detail that will give you but you can try.
It is possible that your userid doesn't have an RFC call authorization in R/3. Do a SU53 immediately after running the program.
Also, replace the FM with any other FM that you know for sure runs (eg some BAPI FM) and run it - either in SE37 in R/3 with RFC destination for BW, or, from your code itself and see if that works (you can check return code). -
APO Version @ ECC6.0
Hello,
we are planning to Upgrade our core system from 4.7 to ECC6.0.
We are currently using a separate APO System with Version SCM4.1.
Is it possible to stay with this APO version or do we have to upgrade it as well?
If we don't have to upgrade: What PlugIns do we need wor APO and the core system?
Where can I find further information?

You dont need to upgrade APO also. I think from ECC6.0 onwards CIF is integral part of R/3 and you would not need plugins to integrate it with R/3. Hope this answer your question.

I had to add the "100 TIMES" or the loop continued beyond the range of the variable and short-dumped.

Dear all
After upgrade from R3 4.6 to ECC6.0, we can't directly create/change catalog in productive system using QS41. After click 'create/change' , the system always pop up the message 'Client xxx has status 'not modifiable'. Experts, cloud you pls tell me which basis customizng/package miss or it is impossible to create/change catalog directly in productive system under vesion ECC6.0 but transported from customzing system. By the way, we can create/change catalog and generate one request number in customing system .

How to make updates to Quality Catalogs not require a transport.
1. In IMG, find the configuration line for the object (EDIT CATALOGS) and just u201Chighlightu201D the object: (like Quality Management> Quality Planning> Basic Data> Catalog> "EDIT CATALOGS"
2. From the EDIT menu, select u201CDisplay IMG Activityu201D.
3. Select the Maint. Objects Tab, then double-click on one of the u201Ccustomizing objectsu201D (in this case V_QPGR_CL).
4. On the resulting screen, make sure the u201Ccurrent settingsu201D check box is checked.
5. Do the same for the other customizing objects listed (in this case V_QPAM_CL).

ChristopheLe principe de l'abonnement est justement de pouvoir bénéficier des corrections et mises à jour dès qu'elles sont mises en ligne m^me sans attendre "un grand saut de version". Bien entendu ces màj ne concernent que les logiciels de l'abonnement donc pour un abonnement Photographe, Photoshop et lightroom.

Instances not displaying in the workspace with new version
Platform: ALBPM 6.0.4 Enterprise StandAlone on AIX.
We had a project deployed and set up with users assigned to two different roles: analyst and support.
There were views that were associated with both roles that allowed them to see all completed instances or In process instances no matter who the instances were assigned to.
This version was 1.1.1 and everthing was working fine.
When a new project version was deployed the version number changed to 1.2.0.
People with the support role can not see the new instances created in the new version - even if they do a search.
People with only the analyst role can see all instances - old and new versions.
People with both roles can only see the old version, even if they do a search.
Any ideas?We may have found the problem. The participant who was assgined to the Support role did not have the same organization as what was associated with the new version of the project when it was deployed. Also, the previous version of the project was not associated with any organizational unit. We added the organization unit to the participant and now it works.

Parked invoice in 4.5b version not posting in ECC6
I am on Tech upgrade 4.5b to Ecc6. Some invoices were parked in 4.5b by using MR41 and need to post by FBV0 in new version ECC6 EPH4. System does not allow to post these invoices. Error message is :
- You can no longer user transaction MR01
- Internal error (read error SMBEW, key = 000000002000008508090000000000)

SAP EH&S 4.6C Migration to SAP ECC6
Hi All,
We are having separate SAP R/3 instance for EH&S module (4.6C system). The transactions system is SAP R/3 4.7 system and is due for ECC6 upgrade. Just want to know
1. Has anything changed in EHS module from 4.7 to ECC6. If yes, what?
2. if we migrate the EH&S functionality from the separate instance for EHS to transactional system in ECC6 / 4.7 R/3 system - will it get affected.
3. What will be the best time to do the migration of EHS data to transactional system (before or after upgrade). We are using specifications, active phrase libraries, reports, report templates and report generation variants and WWI server for MSDS.

After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6. Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
Select the Solution Area like Financials, Human Capital Management, Sales....
Select module like MM, PP, SD, QM.....
Click on Search
Then it displays the Release Version and the Delta Functionality, which can be downloaded to a word document if required. Also check the release notes of ECC 6.0 in service.sap.com.

Single DB Engine and multiple DB Instances approach
Hi Tech Arch gurus,
Need some advice from all of you. We are currently planning to install SAP training systems to latest versions.
We are getting recommendations to goahead with Dedicated host for Oracle Installation where we have Single DB Engine and multiple DB Instances for all different 7 SAP Servers (ECC6, CRM7, BI/NW7.3, SOLMAN7.01, SRM7, EP/NW7.3, PI7.1).
Certain things that need to be clarified before we go ahead with this:
1. How complex/simple is this approach ?
2. If there are some issues noticed in the future (Performance issues etc) in this landscape , how much effort will be required to migrate out a DB instance for an SAP product to another machine. We would be having both ABAP and Java stack for our systems.
3. We would later plan for adding some more systems into the landscape like SAP MDM, SAP CE, SAP BPC etc. If we add all these systems with a single DB engine, would there be performance issues etc. (We are operating under assumption that underlying hardware of the DB engine will be powerful enough)
Can you please provide some expert guidance on this approach?

MDAs a consultant I never dared to do different from what SAP says in guides or notes, at least when it comes to PRD systems.
For QA and Test Systems, discussions might be needed with the customer, depending on how important these systems are,
and for sandboxes I already did some stuff, that will even scare some Oracle guys
As Stefan says, the technical setup is not that complicate at all.
But I never had to fight for a support call in a non-supported Environment, so I can't say.
I always decided to be on the safe side.
If you have your Oracle License directly from Oracle you might disscuss such special support issues with these guys.
The problem is: If you get a call, and the first level support guy from SAP spots the non-supported environment, it MIGHT be possible that you need to escalate and may be pay for the support, but I suppose they will not let your system die
May be some of the SAP moderator guys can throw a comment in on this.
