Instances not displayed in ESB control

I created this tutorial to integrate esb with bpel http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/esb/files/esb-bpelmanualtask.pdf
Tutorial is created succesfully and it's registered successfully in esb ,
Problem is : I'm not able to see instances in esb control. All steps mentioned have been taken care of.
kindly reply saying why its not showing instances at runtime.

did you followed step 52 and plus .. this tells you how start the instances ..
and then click on the instance tab - and on your lef .. click the go sign .. that should show you waht's there ..

Hi everyone,
I had the problem that my ESB Control was not showing any instances even though the messages were still being processed. I found a solution in another thread

I erased all the files found in this persistence folder and I could see the instances in the ESB Control again. Since the problem occurred in our production enviroment I would really like to know the meaning of this persistence directory and the consequences of deleting the files in it.

I've disabled the opmn.xml ons configuration, and removed the FastConnectioNFailover from data-source.xml etc and the problem still persists.
if I don't disable the logger, I get 150,000 messages of form .... is there any particular reason why it won't talk to the datasource. it seems to me that it can't talk down to it's datasource somehow ... but all else is working... anyone any ideas

Background-image of a Design Studio 1.3 extension is not displayed when the control is dragged on the canvas

Hello,
I have a Design Studio Extension with a background image which behave well in Design Studio 1.2.
In Design Studio 1.3 when I drag the control into the canvas the image does not show-up. If I execute the application the image appear in the browser even is not in the canvas.Once I save and reopen the application the image is displayed on the canvas as expected.
I built an extension based on the 'Timer' sample which comes with the DS_13_SDK_Samples ( it has a background image) and it behaves the same way - when you drag the control on the canvas, the image is not displayed.
Any help to solve this issue is much appreciated.

It does start to work once I save and reopen or even when I run.
I tried the inline style but the behavior is much stranger. It does work if I have a full address url to an image, but if my image is part of the control's folder structure it fails completely - it cannot map the right address to the image. The only configuration that appears to work better is the one with the original problem.

The control of adf media does not display even the Control attribute is set

I am trying to play a clip in a jspx page. I use an ADF media to embed the file and play the file by quicktime. I set the control display attribute to "all" or "typical" but the control does not display when the browser(FF) display the clip.
Can anyone help me?

try adding mime-mapping in web.xml. Just a suggestion and I haven't tried this control.

Instances not displaying in the workspace with new version

Platform: ALBPM 6.0.4 Enterprise StandAlone on AIX.
We had a project deployed and set up with users assigned to two different roles: analyst and support.
There were views that were associated with both roles that allowed them to see all completed instances or In process instances no matter who the instances were assigned to.
This version was 1.1.1 and everthing was working fine.
When a new project version was deployed the version number changed to 1.2.0.
People with the support role can not see the new instances created in the new version - even if they do a search.
People with only the analyst role can see all instances - old and new versions.
People with both roles can only see the old version, even if they do a search.
Any ideas?

We may have found the problem. The participant who was assgined to the Support role did not have the same organization as what was associated with the new version of the project when it was deployed. Also, the previous version of the project was not associated with any organizational unit. We added the organization unit to the participant and now it works.

Pages does not display on Mission Control

I use three fingers on the trackpad to initiate Mission Control. Even though I have a document open under Pages on my desktop, Mission Control does not show me an image or icon for pages that I can select. I see a vertical white line where the icon should be, but I cannot select it. Do I not have an option to select Pages from Mission Control? The same thing happens when I hit F3.

That's what I mean...it does not have its own pile. Pages does not appear at all when I go to MC, even though I have it open on my desktop. When I move windows around to bring it to the front and go back to MC, the document dissappears to a thin vertical white line in MC and my other open programs have their own pile. When I exit out of MC, the document appears from where the thin vertical line is. I can't click on the line either, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've restarted it three times and nothing has changed.

Check thsi Program demo_sel_screen_with_tabstrip.
and also a program on Subscreens in ABAPDOCU
You need to combine both then only this is possible in Report PRograms

After upgrade to 4.0, the controls on mymsn page do not work and several of my content items are not displayed.

The stock quotes, fox sports and movie times content fields do not display and the controls do not work on any of content boxes. The customize and add content tabs do nothing. This all worked with 3.6 but not with 4.0.

A column in the search results was changed to a Simple Checkbox when we upgraded to 4.0 (it has always been a checkbox in the older APEX versions). When I put it back to Standard Report Column I no longer get the page not found error.
Is there some additional/different setting I need to do in order to use the simple checkbox option in a search results set?
ETA: I see now that Checkboxes are not intended to work in standard report regions so I'll change them to LOVs or something and my problem should be solved.

ESB control not displaying any services

Hi,
I'm trying to get a SOA Suite installation going last few days. This is the state of the system:
database - 10g Release 2 (10.2) for windows
patches -
Patch Set 2
Patch 18: 6812783
Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.3.0
patches -
Patch Set 3
Interim Patch for bugs :6128263
Other than installing these components, I have not done anything else with the system.
When I go to the ESB control and log in as oc4jadmin I do not see any services like-
1) Default System
2) BPEL System
I redid the whole install process thinking I might have missed out some step, but I see the same error again. Has anybody seen this before? what trouble shooting steps would you recommend ?

ESB Control Instances Tab is Empty

Hi,
I have working on SOA Suite 10G. I have deployed ESB CustomerData Tutorial sucessfully. But this ESB is not activated meaning ESB should read customer XML from input directory every second and write into database but that is not happening. If you login to ESB Control Instances TAB is empty. Meaning ESB is not getting invoked at all.
PLease let me know what can be the issue.

Hi.
Probably your File Adapter is not being triggered by the polling activity. This can be for several reasons. You need to check all your adapter configuration like file name pattern, and that your physical path where your XML file resides matches the one you configured in the adapter.
Also check for the logs under ORACLE_HOME\opmn\logs.

Instances not visible in Oracle BPEL Control 10.1.3.4

Hi ,
I am having a problem in looking for the list of instances under the "Instances" tab.
I have no issues with the process execution tough .
In the run up to this installation I have done the following things
1) Installed the SOA 10.1.3.1
2) Ran the .sql for BPEL and ESB polite upgrades ....... from 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4
3) Installed th eias_windows 10.1.3.4 patch.
4) I guess the problem is with the polite upgrade .
Can some help me understand what the issue could be ...
I dont see any specifics in the logs under the domian of BPEL..

I too had the problem of instances not showing up. I was suggested that if we add a Java Embedding activity after the recieveInput in the process with the method call "checkpoint();", we can get the instances shown in Console. I didn't get a chance to confirm the resolution.

Pages not displaying properly in Publisher instances as we activated the page from Author. In author it is working well but in Pulisher it is showing first 2 lines of the page and then showing error as
Apache sling/2.2 Hot Spot ****** Sun OS error
Please help me on this.IS this issue with the templates or components are we using?

Ok, then let's go the long way and try to reduce the number of possible root causes:
1) Is your problem reproducible on this publish? (I suppose it is)
2) Is it reproducible on other publishs as well, which have received the same page with the same application?
3) Can you reproduce it on other replicated pages as well?
4) When you upload a page to such an affected publish via a content package, does this page render correctly?
5) Does this problem appear on other environments as well?
6) Do you use dispatcher when you get this result? Or do you get it when you request the page directly of CQ5?
7) What's the HTTP statuscode when you render this page? You can see it in the request.log of CQ5.
If you change logging via Felix Console, you don't need to restart the instance.

Canvas not displaying controls added with addChild

I have a custom class holding some information, a property in
the class is an XML string and another method parses the XML add
creates controls (labels and buttons) based on the xml. I also have
a variable named renderer which is a mx.containers.Canvas. After
the XML is loaded and the controls are added using
Canvas.addChild() I add the Canvas to my stage. The problem I'm
running into is that even though the Canvas is added to the stage,
I cannot see any of the controls inside of the canvas. Doing a
trace(Canvas.numChildren()); I can see that I have added 101
children to my canvas container (which is what my xml file shows)
however they will not display. I know the canvas has been added to
the stage because I can see the scroll bars when i set the policies
to "on" and it even sets the scroll bars correctly if the
components are too big for the canvas and would have to be scrolled
down to see them all, it just doesn't show any of the components.
Anyone run into a similar issue?

Did you set an explicit width and height (or percentWidth and
percentHeight, or styles top, left, top, bottom) on the controls
you create? By default controls have 0x0 size. Creating controls in
MXML causes additional code to be generated which gives the
controls default sizes, but it won't happen in your own
ActionScript code.

Flash Controls Not Displaying in Embedded File

I'm having troubles with embedding a Flash SWF file. On my
original website, I can see the video fine. When I try embedding
the SWF to another, the controls do not display. Any thoughts on
getting controls to display when embedding?

Okay – I think I'm making progress :-)
In my FLA file, I have a FLVPlayback component in my library.
When I export the video to an SWF it provides me with 2 SWF files:
the flash movie and the skin. With those 2 files, I also upload my
FLV file to my server.
On my media server, the video displays correctly (here's the

However, when I try embedding the video onto a different
sight and server, just the video displays. I completely understand
that there's 2 different SWF's, but how do I import the video
correctly, so the video playback is displaying correctly when
embedded on other/external sites.
Is there a way to attach/import the SWF for the skin? I'm
just trying to embed video's like YouTube and I'm failing horribly!
