Instant Crash on zooming in to actual pixels
Hi all,
I'm using PhotoshopCS6 on an early 2011 Macbook Pro. I'm experiencing a crash bug whereby if I open a document and zoom in to actual pixels, Photoshop instantly crashes.
I haven't experienced this problem before, and it's fairly mysterious that it's cropped up all of a sudden.
The file I am working on is fairly large (1600 x 2500), at 72 dpi.
I'd greatly appreciate any ideas or insights... thank you!
Try resetting the preferences: Press Cmd+Opt+Shift immediately after initiating Photoshop startup. Select "yes" when prompted.

Transparent Background Actual Pixels and Clicking and Dragging Zoom
So I had to reinstall Photoshop for a number a reasons, and because of this I lost all of my settings.
There's two settings I lost and don't remember what I did to turn them on.
1. The Transparent Background is actual pixel size.
I don't like zooming in and seeing the transparent background not change. I liked it when it was 12x12 pixels per transparent box. What setting do I have check or change to get that back to normal?
Example: http://puu.sh/9zjjb/1d48b7ebd5.png
2. Clicking and Dragging Zoom.
When I now click and drag, I gives me an area I want to zoom in. I don't like this at all. I'm not animating in flash, I'm just drawing. I liked it better when I clicked and dragged up, down, left or right to zoom in on the area I clicked on. What setting is that to enable that?
Example: http://puu.sh/9zj8O/ec329b1d6f.png
I'm using Photoshop Cs6.
If someone can tell me how to fix both of these problems I'm having, that would be grand. The way you're seeing it work now (with the checkerboard size remaining the same on the screen no matter what the zoom) is the expected way with the Graphics Processor Advanced settings set to Drawing Mode Normal or Advanced. If you want it to work the way it did before, go into your Preferences - Performance dialog, click the [Advanced Settings...] button, and choose Basic drawing mode.
Regarding the Zoom... Select the Zoom Tool, and look in the Options bar (up near the top of the Photoshop main window). Change the [ ] Scrubby Zoom checkbox.

XYGraph Cursor legend bug instantly crashes LabView 2012
Hi!
I am just facing a very annoying bug.
Please find my example VI attached, I would like to know wheather you can confirm the bug? Run the VI if you wish to see some curve (actually the bug appears even if you do not put any data on the graph, if you do, just the same) and after that try to click on the cursor legend vertical scrollbar to scroll up or down to see the cursor names.
It instantly crashes my LabView 2012 Full version: 12.0.1f2 (32-bit). This XYGraph always crashes LabView... I cannot go on with my project, now I will just try to bypass the error, I will try to delete the cursors, and add them again...
Anyhow, very strange and annoying behaviour...
Anyone could repeat the same bug?
Thanks for support!

please find attached my example VI, where I would like to programmatically set the label position of a cursor. Why my code does create at every run a new cursor with the same name?
thanks!

Converting a PNG to a Symbol Causes Instant Crash in CS4
Every time I try to convert a PNG to a symbol, Flash CS4 instantly crashes. The PNG images are coming from LightWave 3D, but I've run them through Fireworks and saved with a new name to no avail. They aren't anything unusual, 480 x 270 pixels with alpha trnasparency. There was some discussion about removing fonts with red icons, did that, no help. Reset Preferences>Text>Font mapping default to Arial, no help. Flash 8 works fine.
Could use a little help.
Thanks! You should probably deactivate before uninstalling, but going back on the same machine you don't need to remove the serial number.

Instant crash on iPad1, iOS 4.3.3 with AIR 3.9.0.960 Beta
I built my application just fine.
They also run perfectly okay on those devices:
- iPod Touch 5, iOS 7.0
- iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.0.1
- iPhone 4, iOS 6.0
- iPad 3, iOS 6.1.3
But it crashes instantly on iPad1, iOS 4.3.3
I tried to debug to see if there's any code that's causing this crash, but it doesn't even pass the connection phase.
As soon as I see the launch image, it crashes to home screen.
My application uses several ANEs:
- Milkman's GoViral, GameCenter, StoreKit
- Freshplanet's Chartboost, Flurry
- Adobe NetworkInfo
- StickSport's CanOpenURL
- StickSport's SilentSwitch (I guess I don't need this extension anymore..)

I know there are only so little people who are still using iOS4, but they exists.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue on iOS4? or instant crash?I checked the anes but there's no anes that are targeted higher.
They work fine with previous AIR SDKs.
However, it doesn't crash on iPad 1, iOS 5.1.1 -
hi i'm wondering if what is the total actual pixel of nokia lumia 520, because in all phone specs of lumia 520 it said that it has a 5 megapixel, so i'm wondering why my lumia 520 is only getting a 3.7 actual megapixel and my all pictures resolution is only 2592 x 1456.
That's because you probably have your camera set to 16:9. Set it to 4:3 and you will get 2592 x 1936 pixels

Zooming desktop pictures without "pixelating"?
Greetings. I have a number of photos I downloaded that I want to use as desktop pictures. The photo size is 800 x 600 (pixels). The native screen resolution on my MacBook is 1280 x 800. When I set the picture in the "Desktop" system pref, I am not happy with the CENTERING option. But when I select the FILL SCREEN option the photos become all "pixelated" on the display (because, of course, they are not large enough to fill the screen at native resolution).
Curiously though, when I set the same photos to display in the "Screen Saver" system pref, they zoom in WITHOUT ANY "PIXELATING!" Can anyone explain to me why the zoom effect in "Screen Saver" doesn't pixelate the photos, and is there anyway to tap into this zoom capability in the "Desktop" system pref to view smaller photos at full screen? Is there a third party utility that can do this?
Thanks!Greetings. I found several "screen saver run as desktop picture" options (including a cool widget called "Desktopsaver Plus") that essentially accomplishes what I'm after.

hello again...
In Dreamweaver MX 2004...the dropdown menu on the status bar (right corner) of the document window...showing actual pixel dimensions vs. maximized screen resolution...
...for the 1024 X 768 SR...I'm showing actual pixel dimensions of 955 X 600.
is that not correct...???
I have always gone under the assumption that those figures are 1003 X 567 (& my pages always seem to work fine, dimensionally, w/ those #'s).
Is 955 X 600 the default for DW...or did my settings somehow get inadvertantly changed...???
thanks,
mark4manBrowser chrome eats up approx. 30px on each side. So if you're building a page to fit in a 1024px wide display without horizontal scrollbars, a page width of 970px or below is usually a good target.

The complete offline installers do not crash and appear to install successfully:
install_flash_player_17_plugin.exe
install_flash_player_17_active_x.exe
After installation, Flashplayer appears to run normally without issue.
Speculation: Both computers are older and do not have SSE2 processors. Did flashplayer17_ha_install.exe and flashplayer17ax_ha_install.exe get compiled with SSE2 switch enabled?Minidump analysis, looks like an illegal instruction. Again suspect SSE2 requirement was enabled for this version of Adobe Download Manager. It does not appear SSE2 is required for FlashPlayer (yet), so this should be fixed.

Random instant crash when plugging in iPhone as usb tether
Thought I would share this as I have never seen this happen in all my time using Macs. I upgraded to Mavericks recently on a DIY Fusion Drive (1.5tb 2008 alu Macbook). So far all is running well until a glitch tonight that was bizarre. I plugged in my iphone 4 to use the internet via tethering. The battery died on the phone, so I unplugged and plugged in my wife's iphone 4S. The computer instantly crashed and restarted. No grey screen of death, no warning. I checked the console - I would paste it now but I haven't been able to find it since the log rolled over, but it was basically registering the usb tether, no threads on kernel panic etc and then it was a huge block of @@@@@@@@@@ for a page or so and then restart threads. Any ideas?
HI,
I haven't done an SMC reset since installing the fusion drive, so not since upgrading to Mavericks (I usually do a clean install but just couldn't face it this time around). How will the SMC make a difference? -
Safari, App Store, iCloud all instantly crash when I try to open them on iOS 7
Safari, App Store, iCloud all instantly crash when I try to open them on iOS 7.
On iPhone 5s. Cannot back up (on cloud) or even enter settings for any of the apps as it crashes again.
Luckily had Chrome installed or would not be able to go online. Ideas? If you have apps that crash as soon as you attempt to access them and resetting the network settings had no effect I would then go straight to restoring the device back to default settings. Once restored to default I would try the device to see if this resolved the issue BEFORE restoring the backup to the device. It's likely the issue you are having has to do with corrupted software.

After effects instantly crashes while using opengl with nvidias new drivers 178.24
Since I installed nvidias new drivers 178.24, after effects instantly crashes while using opengl. Anyone else experienced this?
I have Geforce 8600 GT.
As a minor note, I had major problems with the new quicktime 7.5.5 update, both After effects and Premiere got problems with interpreting footage and frames here and there got the "missing frame" look. I also got more problems so I uninstalled it instantly. Is there a major problem with the update or a major problem with me?
Thanks
/ OlleI use Vista (in retroperspective this was probably a mistake, but the company wanted to test the capabilities with Vista when we bought the computer a year ago). And specs are:
*Graphics: Asus Extreme GeForce 8600GT SILENT 512MB DDR3 TV-out HDTV DUAL DVI RETAIL PCI Express
*HD: Samsung HD501LJ 500GB 7200rpm 16MB SATA2
*Audio: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Retail
*Mem: Corsair QUAD2X4096-6400C5DHX QuadDHX 4x1024MB (tot. 4096MB) Kit DDR2 XMS2-6400 800MHz
*Motherboard: Asus P5K iP35 4DDR2-DIMM 3PCI 3PCIe SATA Raid Audio GB-LAN Firewire Socket775 ATX
*Processor: Intel Core 2 EXTREME QUAD QX6850 3.0GHz 8MB FSB1333 Boxed (with cpu-cooler!) Socket 775
*Power: Sirtec/Chieftec CFT-750-14C 750W 140mm fan ATX2.0 20/24-pin 4/8-pin 12V Modular
Sorry not to give more info on the Quicktime problem, I don't remember exactly what more problems there where as we have had extremely much to do these last couple of weeks and I just freaked out and uninstalled it as soon as the problems emerged. I do remember the frame issue however, it was very clear, i imported an image sequence in premiere and everything worked fine, then i updated and frames were suddenly dropped, then i uninstalled and installed 7.5 again and it worked just fine. I also tried to flush the cache, restart and generally search for the source of the problem for a couple of hours.

Cannot use app store, instantly crashes
I am running iOS 6.1.4 on my iPad and I am unable to run the app store app as it instantly crashes.
I have done all the common things....closed all running apps, rebooted using power/home button until apple logo appears etc...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
DerekYou may have synced you iPhone while logged into a different iTunes account. Open iTunes on your computer, make sure you are logged into the account that is on the iPhone and sync the iPhone.

I did an 8-hour edit today only to find that towards the end, FCPx didn't care much for my retimed clips that had optical flow enabled. If I put a crossfade transition between the clips, instant crash and reboot crash to infinity. Had to trash the plist to start up with the mulit-project view. Also had to rename my transcoded folder to see where the transcode crashed so I could remove the crossfades before the crash happened. This is madness. 50% of this software works reliably.
