Instantiating Object with NDS

I'm having no success in instantiating object with NDS. Does anyone know whether is possible?
I can hard code a statement as follows:
pkg1.gs_nt(gs_nt.LAST) := NEW SomeObject_ot('x');
where pkg1 is a package with the gs_nt variable declared in the spec. (global scope). The var. gs_nt is a nested table of SomeObject_ot type.
When I try to use the same approach using NDS I get error messages at compile time:
PLS-000103: Encountered the symbol "" - When I try to use the SomeObject_ot in a USING clause to set the value of a placeholder. In other words, it doesn't do the substitution.
PLS-00382: expression is of wrong type - when I try to concatenate the object with a string.
Based on the above, I've concluded that NDS can't be used to instantiate object types.
Is thsi conclusion correct? Does anyone have a solution?

Does this do what you need?
SQL> create or replace type SomeObject is Object (
  2         val varchar2(10)

SQL>
SQL> create or replace type SomeObject_nt is table of SomeObject ;

  4                           p_obj IN VARCHAR2);
  5  END;
  6  /
Package created.

13          dbms_output.put_line('Count=' || pkg1.gs_nt.COUNT || ' pkg1.gs_nt(1).val='||pkg1.gs_nt(1).val);
14      END;
15  BEGIN
16    gs_nt := SomeObject_nt() ;
17  END;

  • DI API - accessing objects with Read only permissions

    Scenario: I have setup a user in B1 with "Read Only permissions" on the Business Partner. When I log into the DI API as this user and try instantiating the BP object, I get a message "Loged on user does not have permissions".
    Why am I getting this? Shouldnt I be able to instantiate the object and read the property values. i understand that I cannot Add or Update because of read only permissions.
    Is there a way we can retreive values for users using the DI API or should the best option be to write a SQL statement.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

    Requiring the user to have full authorization to instantiate an object is a serious limitation for the DI API. It makes it virtually useless. After all it is supposed to be OOP and all the trimmings isn’t it? It also takes a lot of control away from the user.
    +1
    Hi,
    I have confirmation from B1 product definition, the DI API access for objects with Read only permissions will not be included in the 2007A version. It will be considered for the following version after 2007A.
    There is a chapter called "Authorization Checks" in the SDK Help file specifying:
    "SAP Business One performs authorization checks for the business objects and the infrastructure and meta data objects. If a user does not have full authorization to access the objects in SAP Business One, the user will not have permission to access the data belonging to the business objects using the DI API."

  • Objects with no attributes

    Any idea why an object must have attributes? Is there any good reason or is it just something Oracle did?
    I can see why an instantiable object has to have attributes - otherwise what use is it - but a non-instantiable object seems like it often shouldn't need any - it's just there to be a generic place holder in an object hierarchy.
    I'm getting kind of fed up with creating objects with a single attribute called "DUMMY".

    Hi,
    At least one attribute is mandatory for a TYPE Object.
    Attributes like a data structure and Methods like a legal operation on Attributes.
    An object type is the closest thing to a class.
    It is also very similar to an abstract data type (ADT).

  • Instantiating objects in cfc (CF9)

    Hi all,
    in certain cases it is necessary to me to instantiate objects like this:
    I think to remember that I've read recently that this kind of instantiating isn't recommended. So I just wanted to ask the veterans about it.
    Mostly I use this way in cases where recursion are used so I do not need to reinstantiate the objects with each recursive call of a function.
    Thanks in advance

    Oh, sorry...there is no edit button.
    Here it is:

    I did following stebs:
    - saved a tiff-Image in a GeoRaster table with pyramid an tiled images.
    - checked the sdo_geom_metadata --> they are correct
    - checked the sdo_georaster object for the rdt table name and rasterid --> they are correct
    - checked the rdt table --> objects with that rid are saved
    - checked the mdsys.sdo_geor_sysdata table --> entry is correct
    - validate the geraster with the sdo_geor.validategeoraster function --> object is valid
    - updated the spatial extend of the image and try again the preview functio--> the same error

    Hi Joao,
    Thanks so far.
    I'm previewing a GeoRaster theme. I created it with the MapBuilder GeoRaster wizard. The theme difinition is (out of the export file):

    RAS_DGK|
    GEORASTER|
    <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
    <styling_rules theme_type="georaster">

    (GeoRaster table name is "RAS_DGK", theme name is also "RAS_DGK")

  • Object with multiple states and slider in folio are rasterized, settings seem correct.

    I am having trouble keeping An object with multiple text states from being rasterized, as well as a slider that is also rastering.
    I have read that you are supposed to set the folio and article up to be .pdf and that the slider should have the vector option chosen.
    I haven't found anything for the multi state object to for these settings.
    What happens is when I output the folio to Adobe Content Viewer, only the text in those items is rasterized. All other text is crisp. Tested on both iPad Mini and iPad Retina and the both are blurry.
    Is there a way to force the vector option? It seems even with the correct options selected it is still rastering the test in interactive elements.
    Thanks!

    Here is the MSO with the folio.
    Here is the Slider with folio overlays panel.

  • Enter a true account assignment object with revenues

    Hi there,
    At my current client site we implemented COPA - Costing Based. I mapped a few revenue accounts  to COPA. Now when I try to make a posting in to COPA using FB70 . The system issues a error Message "Enter a true account assignment object with revenues" . I know  the Prof Segment is the account assignment object  its looking for and the system is not deriving it  from the information I entered in the FB70 document. Am I missing somethig here? Did anyone out there face similar issue??
    You inputs are highly appreciated!

  • Enter a true account assignment object with revenues while reversing FB08

    Hi All
    When I am reversing the document through FB08 I am getting the warning messege "Enter a true account assignment object with revenues"
    Message no. KI166
    Diagnosis
    You made an account assignment for 31211100, a revenue element, in controlling area 1000 to a cost center or profit center.
    System Response
    Cost centers and profit centers can carry revenues in the SAP system as statistics only. To ensure reconciliation between FI and CO for revenue element 31211100, a CO account assignment object must record the revenues as a real value. This object type is used for updating to the reconciliation ledger.
    In principle, it is possible for the SAP system to automatically derive this CO account assignment object, the reconciliation object. However, all postings made in CO for costing-based Profitability Analysis are logged in the reconciliation ledger under "reconciliation object". In this manner, the reconciliation ledger identifies the exact values flowing into the operating profit. If you post reconciliation objects during revenue postings to cost centers or profit centers, you must do so while keeping the interpretation of the reconciliation ledger reports in mind. The sums of revenue postings to profitability segments, cost centers, and profit centers cannot be broken down further.

    Hi,
    Do you have this cost element maintained in OKB9 with a reference to an internal order or profitability segment? If yes, please look at the note 373823.

  • Inserting a new row in a BC4J View Object with an attribute of type BFileDomain

    Hi all,
    I've to insert a row in a View Object with an attribute of type oracle.jbo.domain.BFileDomain.
    I do this within an Application Module's method, which has an input parameter of type byte[]. This parameter will be the content of the BFILE.
    What's the right way for doing that?
    I've tried with the following code, but I've got an exception in committing the transaction:
    public int serializeDocument(int codDomanda, int codSorgente, byte[] content, String est, int type, int cost, String title, String arg) throws JboException {
    int code = 0;
    //File f;
    DocumentiTwoView = getDocumentiTwoView();
    java.sql.Statement stmt = ((DBTransaction) getTransaction()).createStatement(1);
    try {
    Row docRow = DocumentiTwoView.createRow();
    SequenceImpl seq = new SequenceImpl("documenti_seq", getDBTransaction());
    Integer next = (Integer) seq.getData();
    code = next.intValue();
    docRow.setAttribute("Coddocumento", new Number(code));
    docRow.setAttribute("Titolo", (String) title);
    docRow.setAttribute("Argomento", (String) arg);
    docRow.setAttribute("Costo", new Number(cost));
    docRow.setAttribute("Tipo", new Number(type));
    docRow.setAttribute("Coddomanda", new Number(codDomanda));
    docRow.setAttribute("Codsorgente", new Number(codSorgente));
    //f = new File("Doc" + code + "." + est)
    BFILE src_lob = null;
    ResultSet rset = null;
    rset = stmt.executeQuery ("SELECT BFILENAME('DOC_DIR', 'Doc" + code + "." + est + "') FROM DUAL");
    if (rset.next()) {
    src_lob = ((OracleResultSet)rset).getBFILE(1);
    BFileDomain bfd = new BFileDomain(src_lob);
    bfd.setBytes(content);
    bfd.saveToDatabase(getTransaction());
    docRow.setAttribute("Contenuto", (BFileDomain) bfd);
    catch (Exception ex) {
    getTransaction().rollback();
    throw new oracle.jbo.JboException("Impossibile creare il nuovo documento:\n" + ex.getMessage());
    finally {
    try {
    stmt.close();
    catch (Exception nex) {
    try {
    // Commit the whole transaction
    getTransaction().commit();
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    getTransaction().rollback();
    throw new JboException("Impossibile eseguire il commit della transazione:\n" + e.getMessage());
    return code;
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Odd, have you disabled caching and indirection? (NoIdentityMap, dontUseIndirection, or alwaysRefresh/disableCacheHits). If so, then this could be the issue.
    Otherwise please include the sample code you use to perform this, and verify that you do not have any unusual code in your set/get methods or in descriptor events. Also turn TopLink logging on and include a sample. Also ensure that you do not modify your objects until after registering them in the unit of work, and only modify the unit of work clones.

  • How to copy objects from Pages (5.5.1) and paste it into Photoshop as a vector smart object with high resolution?

    I recently have bought a new Macbook Pro (Version 10.10.1) with the OS X Yosemite. The computer comes with the new Pages (version 5.5.1).
    Here is the problem: I like to create artwork using the shapes on Pages. Previously, on my old mac, I used Pages 4.3 to create objects, which I would copy then paste to Photoshop and it would become a vector smart object. However, in the new Pages (version 5.5.1), when I copy objects, they would appear on Photoshop as instead, a layer and it would not be in full resolution.
    Also, I know there is nothing wrong with the Pages file itself because I have converted the document to PDF form and it is high resolution when inserted into Photoshop that way.
    Does anyone know how I can copy individual objects from Pages (5.5.1) and paste it into Photoshop as a vector smart object with high resolution as I have done before?
    Thanks!

    Oh, well if you don't actually need vector objects then it looks like this is possible. As I said earlier, Pages is putting a PNG on the clipboard. I tested it and it does paste into Photoshop as a transparent layer, because I can see the transparent background of the pasted PNG graphic if I either turn off all layers behind it in Photoshop, or if I start a new Photoshop document to paste into but make sure I choose Transparent for the Background Contents in the New Document dialog.

  • RE: multiple named objects with the same name andinterface

    David,
    First I will start by saying that this can be done by using named anchored
    objects and registering them yourself in the name service. There is
    documentation on how to do this. And by default you will get most of the
    behavior you desire. When you do a lookup in the name service (BindObject
    method) it will first look in the local partition and see if there is a
    local copy and give you that copy. By anchoring the object and manually
    registering it in the name service you are programmatically creating your
    own SO without defining it as such in the development environment. BTW in
    response to your item number 1. This should be the case there as well. If
    your "mobile" object is in the same partition where the service object he is
    calling resides, you should get a handle to the local instance of the
    service object.
    Here is the catch, if you make a bind object call and there is no local copy
    you will get a handle to a remote copy but you can not be sure which one!
    It end ups as more or less a random selection. Off the top of my head and
    without going to the doc, I am pretty sure that when you register an
    anchored object you can not limit it's visibility to "User".

    Subject: multiple named objects with the same name and interface
    All,
    More than once, I have wished that Forte allowed you to place named
    objects with the same name in more than one partition. There are two
    situations in which this seems desirable:
    1) Objects that are not distributed, but are mobile (passed by value to
    remote objects), cannot safely reference a Service Object unless it has
    environment visibility, but this forces the overhead of a remote method
    call when it might not otherwise be necessary. If it were possible to
    place a copy of the same Service Object (with user visibility) in each
    partition, the overhead of a remote method call could be avoided. This
    would only be useful for a service object whose state could be safely
    replicated.
    2) My second scenario also involves mobile objects referencing a Service
    Object, but this time I would like the behavior of the called Service
    Object to differ with the partition from which it is called.
    This could be accomplished by placing Service Objects with the same name
    and the same interface in each partition, but varying the implementation
    with the partition.
    Does anyone have any thoughts about why this would be a good thing or a
    bad thing?

  • LR4.1 : "Edit-In" "Open as Smart Object with Photoshop..." feature doesn't work with 32bits

    Hi there,
    I am running LR4.1/CS5/ACR6.7 on a Win7 64bits system.
    The feature "Edit-In" > "Open as Smart Object with Photoshop..." does work Ok with raw files (.NEF).
    However, when i do try to use the same feature with 32 bits .TIFF files (which are output of the LR4.1's "Edit-In" > "Merge to HDR Pro in Photoshop..." other feature), nothing does happen (the Photoshop application windows does open but w.o the image that i've just selected).
    I've used search engines and Adobe online help to see if there was any limit preventing the usage of this feature with 32 bits .TIF files but couldn't see such note.
    Thanks for your help !
    Albert

    Thanks Rikk,
    That did work with a DNG file :-)
    I am working with very huge .TIF files (400MB), so i am wondering if size could be the main issue (although my PC has lots of HW resources).
    I will explore the DNG way, a format which seems anyways to be very promising now with LR4.
    In case anyone has an idea why it doesn't work the .TIF files, please shoot !

  • Object with gradient feather disappears upon export to pdf

    I'm troubleshooting a file where an object with a gradient feather disappears from the exported .pdf file. The rest of the file is perfect. I've tried different .pdf presets. I've tried moving the offending object to its own layer at the bottom of the layer stack. I've tried copying all the art to a new file. I've tried grouping everything. Nothing is working. I can successfully export to .jpg format. I'm using InDesign CS5 on an iMac. Thanks for any suggestions.
