Insterested in joining private beta

My name is Eric and I spoke on the phone with Craig Jacobs yesterday.  I work for a company that provides software solutions.  Our team of developers is interested in using the Live Cycle Collaboration System in an up and coming project!  This brings up many questions…
We have created rooms using a web interface and need to try out the recording functionality that exists in private beta.  What would be required for us to participate in the private beta?  Also, is there a timeframe on releasing this functionality to the general public?
If we do not utilize the recording in LCCS, is there another means of catching the live video stream?
When further updates to the LCCS server API happen in the future, will Adobe still keep supporting past releases?  Will Adobe keep these features mostly backwards compatible?
Will there be any change in the fee structure in the near future?
When recording video from the server end, can we manipulate the quality of the recording?  Lower the fps for convenient storage?
Will there be the ability with the private beta functionality to save the recordings on our own webserver for playback on the web?

I have received an e-mail and have had a couple questions answer
ed, thank you!  I am still curious about a few of the topics.
When recording video from the server end, can we manipulate the quality of the recording?  Lower the fps for convenient storage?
Is there an estimate to how long the recording will stay in private beta?  Will it be available to the public soon?
Thanks again for your e-mail response to the other questions.

  • How I can participate in the Muse private beta ?

I am not getting any option of muse beta or creative cloud in the beta signup page. Which option I will select to signup for private beta test to improve Adobe muse.

    Hello
I Joined the Adobe Muse Private Beta over a month ago and still haven't recived a invitation.
Our studio is very excited about Adobe Muse and my work colleague was invited to the Beta Program two days after signing up.
In the "Join the Adobe Muse Private Beta" option in Muse, it gives me the option to "Opt out" so I'm assuming i'm signed up?.
    Thanks

  • Muse Private Beta to Muse CC Version

I am currently in the Private Beta program for Adobe Muse.  I am a Creative Cloud member.  I notice that I can install Adobe Muse CC from the Creative Cloud Manager.  Obviously it is a different version from the Private Beta version I have installed.  My question is do I lose anything, like features that are in the Private Beta version that are not in the Adobe Muse CC version?  If I install the CC version does that remove me from the Beta program?  Is the Private Beta program done?  Is there an advantage to installing the public CC version?
    Thank you.

I would guess if your beta was a version from before the CC launched this month then the CC version should have most the things in it? Again just a guess, not sure.
There is this information, so perhaps you can have the best of both worlds?

How do I join the Adobe Muse CC beta program?
With your Adobe Muse CC membership, you can help sculpt future versions by participating in the Adobe Muse CC beta program. By making a small change in your Adobe Muse CC software settings, you can enable the beta software to install whenever the engineers create a new beta build. You can be one of the first to access and explore the latest Adobe Muse CC features — and if you have comments or suggestions, you can provide feedback so that the Adobe Muse CC team can improve the next version.

Maybe something will help, or a staff member or employee can clarify further.

  • Muse Private Beta program

    Hi there,
Is it possible to still join the Muse Private Beta program? I tried joining but received a message stating that I'd be notified when Muse Beta is available. My work associate was able to join the private beta and is now running off that muse version. I need to make edits on one of our client websites and don't think I'll be able to do that if I don't have the same muse version as my associate. Is that correct? Is it possible to join the private beta so that we are using the same version?
    Thank you!

  • Flip4Mac's private beta

Just in case any of you haven't gotten the news, Flip4Mac is beginning the beta of its version 2.1 Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player components for Quicktime. This version is Universal, so any Intel Mac owners should keep their eye out.

    Hi iamDK
    Thanks for the reply!
If this is the case (and I suspect you're correct) then I really don't understand why Adobe don't explain this at any point within there literature.
    The site dedicated to the explanation of the Private Beta makes no mention of 'invite only' and instead states;
"By making a small change in your Adobe Muse software settings, you can enable the Adobe Muse beta software to install whenever the engineers create a new private beta build." (They also ask you to sign the NDA when making this change in Muse)
Perhaps a member of the Adobe staff would like to comment on this post if only to 100% confirm how this process is supposed to run.
Thanks again to iamDK for the info

Now I want to use the public beta, but get this error. How to i clean out the old beta so i can install the public beta?

Open Google Drive window. Click On "Settings" at top of window. Select move to trash. Then Empty Trash.

  • Regret a publish to the public when it should have been private beta

I accidently published a beta of a new app to the public. How can I use that reserved beta name for a new private beta submission?
I unpublished and deleted the app as soon as I noticed the mistake. But I can't find a way to release the reserved app name. Neither can I find a way to switch from public to beta for the app that was accidently subitted public.

  • General PlayStationNow Private Beta Trial Discussion Thread

Code redemption and installation all worked fine.  Internet connection is quick enough as well. It's been a while since I played any PS3 game, but will give Arkham City a blast later on.

    diehardest13 wrote:
Just got the invite but on holiday in sunny bognor Regis at the moment. Will the beta stretch to the PS vita one day? Also I'm guessing a Ethernet connection would be better but last time I tried one it wouldn't connect to the internet.
    Hi diehardest13,
Ethernet connect is always the preferential method of connectivity, however, recently some routers provide a dual band service where the 5Ghz Wi-Fi connection allows for much better performance.
If you choose to use a wireless connection, the 5Ghz connectivity would be the recommended option.
There are also a few other points to consider:
    * The distance your PS4 is from the router which provides the Wi-Fi connection.
    * Other devices using the internet at the same time may reduce your connection bandwidth
    * Interference from external sources
Regarding the beta moving across to our PS Vita platform, I cannot confirm this will happen during the life cycle of the beta. Please keep an eye out on our official channels for more information on this.
I hope the above has been of helpful nature and look forward to seeing your complete feedback via our feedback forms.

  • For All Entries is NOT better than INNER JOIN in most cases

I quote from Siegfried Boes' excellent post here: Will writing an inner join be better or creating a view?
For all the FOR ALL ENTRIES lovers ... there is no proof for these reappearing recommendation.
There is nearly nobody who receives forum points, who recommends FOR ALL ENTRIES instead of Joins. What is the reason ???
It is easier to prove the opposite. A Join is a nested loop inside the database, a FOR ALL ENTRIES is partly outside of the database. FOR ALL ENTRIES works in blocks, joins on totals.
FOR ALL ENTRIES are not recommded on really large tables, because the chances are too high that
    too many records are transferred.
People prefer FOR ALL ENTRIES, because JOINs are not so easy to understand. Joins can go wrong, but with a bit of understanding they can be fixed.
Some Joins are slow and can not be fixed, but then the FOR ALL ENTRIES would be extremely slow.
There are several kinds of views:
    - projection views, i.e. only one table involved just fields reduced
    - join views, several tables, joins conditions stored in dictionary
    - materialized views, here the joined data are actually stored in the database. Storing and synchronisation has to be done manually.
Only the last one creates real overhead. It should be the exception.
Join Views and Joins are nearly identical. The view is better for reuse. The join is better in complicated, becuase if the access goes wrong, it can often be fixed by adding a hint. Hints can not be added to views.
    Abraham Bukit  points out:
If it is cluster table, (you can't use join). If it is buffered table, I would also say avoid join.
If they all are transaction table which are not buffered and are not cluster tables.
He further supports Siegfried's statement that FAE is easier to undestand than INNER JOINs.
Thomas Zloch says, regarding buffered tables:
At least think twice, maybe compare runtimes if in doubt.
So, unless someone has some EVIDENCE that FOR ALL ENTRIES is better, I don't think we want to see this discussed further.
    Kind regards
    Matt

To give food for thought here's an example I  gave in a thread:
If you have a statement like
    SELECT ... FOR ALL ENTRIES IN FAE_itab WHERE f = FAE_itab-f.
SAP sends it to the database depending how the parameter rsdb/prefer_union_all is set:
    rsdb/prefer_union_all = 0 =>
    SELECT ... WHERE f = FAE_itab[1]-f
              OR    f = FAE_itab[2]-f
              OR    f = FAE_itab[N]-f
You have some influence  of the generated statement type: Instead of OR'ed fields an IN list can be used
if you have only a single coulmn N to compare:
    rsdb/prefer_in_itab_opt parameter:
    SELECT ... WHERE f IN (itab[1]-f, itab[2]-f, ..., itab[N]-f)
    rsdb/prefer_union_all = 1 =>
    SELECT ... WHERE f = FAE_itab[1]-f
    UNION ALL SELECT ... WHERE f = FAE_itab[2]-f
    UNION ALL SELECT ... WHERE f = FAE_itab[N]-f
see: Note 48230 - Parameters for the SELECT ... FOR ALL ENTRIES statement
As you can see for the 2nd parameter several statements are generated and combined with a UNION ALL,
the first setting generates statements with OR's (or uses IN  if possible) for the entries in FAE_itab.
I give you a little example here (my parameters are set in a way that the OR's are translated to IN lists; i traced the execution in ST05)
Select myid into table t_tabcount from mydbtable
for all entries in t_table    " 484 entries
        where myid = t_table-myid .
    ST05 trace:
    |Transaction SEU_INT|Work process no 0|Proc.type  DIA|Client  200|User |
    |Duration |Obj. name |Op.    |Recs.|RC    |Statement|
    | 640|mydbtable |PREPARE|   |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( :A0 , :A1 , :A2 , :A3 , :A4 ) AND "myid" = :A5|
    | 2|mydbtable |OPEN   |   |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ) AND "myid" = 72 |
    | 2.536|mydbtable |FETCH  |    0|  1403|   |
    | 3|mydbtable |REOPEN |   |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 ) AND "myid" = 72 |
    | 118|mydbtable |FETCH  |  0|  |
    | 2|mydbtable |REOPEN |  |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 ) AND "myid" = 72     |
    | 3|mydbtable |REOPEN |  |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( 475 , 476 , 477 , 478 , 479 ) AND "myid" = 72  |
    | 94|mydbtable |FETCH  | 0| 1403|   |
    | 2|mydbtable |REOPEN |   |  0|SELECT WHERE "myid" IN ( 480 , 481 , 482 , 483 , 484 ) AND "myid" = 72 |
You see the IN list contained 5 entries each , wich made up about 97 statements for all 484 entries.
For every statment you have a single fetch operation wich means a separate access to the database.
If you would replace the FAE with a join you would only have one fetch to the database.
With the example above we can derive these observations:
    1. From database point of view these settings kill performance when you access a big table and/or have a lot of entries or columns in your FAE_itab. Furthermore, you hide information what data you will access
at all and thus you block the database from creating a more efficient execution plan because it DOESN'T KNOW wich data you will select in the next step. I.e. it may be more efficient to scan the table in one shot instead of having many index accesses - but the database can make this decision only if it can examine ONE statement that has ALL the information of what data to retrieve.
    2. A second impact is that with every statement execution you trigger the allocation of database resources
wich will contribute to the overhead described above.
Said that, FAE  can never be a replacement for joining big tables (think of having a table with thousands of records in a FAE table )

  • Does anyone have the beta yet?

I participate in the Muse private beta program, but still have not received an invitation to upgrade to the new beta. I'm anxious to try out the content management. Is anyone test-driving yet?

    Hi adobelance
I'm in the process of waiting to here back after applying to join the prerelease program via https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=prerelease_interest
However I selected to particpate in the Muse Private Beta program months ago, following the instructions that you have described here http://www.adobekb.com/participating_in_muse_beta.html, yet I have not received any communications and therefore cannot access the new Beta.
In an attempt to overcome this I have accessed Muse today, 'opted out' of the Private Beta and then back in, only to find a message stating that no Beta was available, and still no email notifications???
Please can you help with this issue
    Thanks
    Shaun

  • TOSHIBA Please Read - Beta Testing and Developer Community

    Hello Jim,
I wanted to respond to your posting about the status of the update but the thread has been locked, so I started a new one. Anyway, I was wondering if there was a chance that we could get a beta test version of the software provided to experienced and brave individuals that can report back to the dev team with various issues and bugs to be fixed?
The public beta will not only appease the people angry at Toshiba for missing the deadline for the update, but also provide necessary feedback to the development team that can be used to create a more feature complete update. As an Android developer myself, I would take every oppurtunity to report bugs and issues and even provide code to help implement fixes for various issues if said source is availible. I believe it would be a great idea for Toshiba to create an open source development community on these forums and to provide us with bleeding edge code for us to implement and mess around with.
Such communities already exist on various sites like XDA Developers but not with vendor support, if Toshiba provided a vendor-supported developer community around the Thrive and other Android devices such as the Excite and Folio. With a vendor supported community, we would have a place where Toshiba can make better software for the devices and developers and brave regular users can participate in the process of getting updates for our various devices. I believe that moving away from such a closed development environment would not only help Toshiba develop better devices and software, but also give the company a leg up on its competitors who do not have such a community pitching in allowing for better software to be coded.
I hope that this message is read by someone at Toshiba that can make this happen, as the benefits are truly mutual, since Toshiba would be getting better software for its devices and developers get the resources and code needed to turn Toshiba into one of the best supporters of this great open-source project.
If anyone from Toshiba would like to contact me to help coordinate such an undertaking, I may be reached at [email protected]
    Thank You For Your Time,
    Rob Gries
    Android Developer

    Hi Rob,
Thanks for the thoughtful message. Your points are well made and, while I don't disagree that there are mutual benefits, Toshiba has no current plans for directly building or supporting a developer community.
On the other hand, private beta testing for the Thrive product line was first launched last summer and I expect it to be ongoing as major software updates reach reasonably usable states within the development process. However, you won't see discussion of beta testing in the message boards because beta testers are under NDA.
Thanks again for the thoughts and for your interest in developing for Thrive!
    Jim

  • View and join Table

    Hi,
what is the differnce between view and join table

    Hi,
There are 4 types of views in SAP.
Database View - To club more than one table
Projection View - To hide fields in one table
Maintenance View - To maintain database records in table
Help View - To provide help for a fields (Same functionality as Search help. This is outdated)
View are improves performance in the following aspects
    1. If you want to use more than two table in 'JOIN' condition better to use Views . It will improves performance of a program
    2. If you want to use mutiple FOR ALL ENTRIES clause, better to club all SELECT statement in a view.
    Note:
1.Views does not contain data in it. It fetches data from the database only depending on the condition ...
2.Views are part of data dictionary. They are a window to view the data in database
3.views can be used to give security to data. users can be allowed to view only basic data only
For More Info,go thru this Threads,
