  • How to delay or stop get quote email and to send later when the actual shipping cost is work out.

How can I delay or stop get quote email from being automatically sent. I want to send manually later when the actual shipping cost is work out. Thanks

No problems, I've had the same type of customers, I build shipping systems that had different shipping options for different countries. If you selected Australia it used BC Aussie post system upto a certain size then switched to a local shipper if it was too big and also if you choose say the UK it would use a custom DHL price table. Even can tie it directly to the API's of the shipping companies to get real time prices and fuel charges if you need it.

  • How can I stop getting duplicate emails?

I've been getting duplicate emails for as long as I can remember. I've tried the suggestions I've found on these forums, including getting rid of MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 from the three mail accounts I use. I have two domains of my own, and my .mac email account, and the duplicates occur with all three accounts - and it's driving me crazy!
I don't get duplicates of all my emails, and it seems quite random, but it does happen a lot.
This happens on my G4 laptop at home, and also on my G5 iMac at work.
I am anxious for a solution that actually works, because nothing I've seen suggested or tried has helped.
    Thanks,
    Steve
    G4 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

David, the problem appears to be that random messages are downloaded more than once from a server (it could be any of my three servers, two of which are my own domains, and the third of which is my .mac account, which is set up as a .mac account rather than a POP account).
I did notice this, and wouldn't be surprised if it's the cause of the problems: on my home machine, in the ~/library/mail folder, there are three POP account folders.
Two of them match my current email addresses ([email protected] and [email protected]), while the third is labelled "[email protected]@mail.hrksf.com,"
even though I currently use [email protected] rather than [email protected] With me so far?
On my work machine, in the ~/library/mail folder, there are two POP account folders. One is actually for a domain that no longer exists, the other is the same as #3 above - [email protected]@mail.hrksf.com. Somehow, mail.app is using these two folders to download my mail. I have tried deleting the folders but mail.app recreates them. I'm not at work to check at the moment, but I don't think either of those folders contains a MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 file.
I don't know if it matters that these folders don't match my accounts, but I imagine that it does. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • My ipod touch 5 has stopped getting my email

My ipod touch 5 has quit getting my emails, how can i fix this, I am not getting any kind of error message.
    Caseyayers

The articleI cited covers both sending and receiving.
It would seem that either you have an incorrect setting/entry on the iPod or there is a problem with your email provider.

  • Please Please Please how do I stop getting these discussions in my email?

I accidently hit a follow button on one discussion, now I am getting threads!  I entered "NO" in everything under my profile, I still get threads!! Even one second ago!!  How do I get out of this?

Just want to verify, you did pull down the menu next to your name and go into the Preferences section? There are 5 things to say no to.
Also, I JUST saw another area. Find the thread under the Communications icon  (Arrow pointing down, above left) I see there is an option there with each thread to either follow or not

  • Why am I getting these emails?

Does anyone know why I'm getting spam that is not sent to my address. The mail arrives in my mailbox, but does not have my email address in the recipients address line. It usually has a made up address that has part of my address included in it. This just started happening on my .Mac account a couple of months ago. Is there anything I can do to stop it?
    Matt
    Imac G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hello Matt.
This indicates the spammer is entering your email address and probably a number of others in the Bcc: field when addressing the message.
All email addresses placed in the Bcc: field do not appear and are invisible to all recipients. The only addresses that are visible to all recipients are those placed in the To: or Cc: fields.
Copied from How .Mac filters spam.
The .Mac mail servers filter spam, but some unwanted messages may still get through.
No single strategy is completely effective when it comes to managing Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE), also known as "spam". People who are intent on sending spam are ingenious at coming up with ways around any filtration schemes.
In addition, see Why was I "spammed" at my .Mac Mail address? which applies to any email account and How HTML Email Messages Relate to Unsolicited Commercial Email ("spam") which applies to any email client such as the Mail.app.

However, I added "allowpercenthack = no" to main.cf
and that seemed to allow postfix to not attempt to
process it itself and let my application do the
    work.
However, if I now send mail now to my server (from
    another server) destined to
    user%[email protected], I (and my
    log) gets:
Hardly ever had a need for this, but if I remember correctly you will need to set:
    allowuntrustedrouting = yes
    in main.cf
(No need for allowpercenthack (I think))
or you could create a hash table before rejectunauthdestination to return OK based on your needed patterns.
I think the first method will work though.
    Side question: I placed `rejectnon_fqdnsender'
    after rejectunauthdestination destination because I
didn't want to bother checking the sender unless I
confirmed the recipient was at my server. Does that
comment that it doesn't work after
checkrelaydomains, mean that it also doesn't get
    processed after
    checkrelaydomains is deprecated
You can place rejectnon_fqdnsender anywhere you like or even omit it, but I don't see why you would have to.

  • How can I stop getting duplicate emails, macmail 4.6?

I am getting what seem to be random duplicates of emails in my Inbox. I have changed nothing in my email preferences nor have I set any rules that ask for duplicates. I am not having any mail forwarded to me from any other email account. All of my email comes to me through a local email server where I recently set a filter to automatically delete a particular recurring spam. It seems that shortly after this I began having some, but not all, duplicate emails in my inbox. I am running MacMail 4.6 on a Macbook Pro, OS 10.6.8. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Bigpond have been outsourcing their mail through Micrisift outlook.com. This service appears to have some issues, as I to have duplicated mails at time from Outlook.com.
Basically I think the service has issues. Normaly I would disable email scanning in the anti virus product, and it might help in your case, but as I have issues with a single account out of 22mail account around the world I just blame the outlook.com POP service for being less than stable.
As IMAP is the mail protocol supported by Windows 8 and therefore important to Microsoft from a marketing perspective, I have not heard of any issues with it. and my test IMAP account on OUTLOOK.com does not suffer from the issue.
I do not have an outsourced Bigpond account to comment on, I only have the old Bigpond mail and that is stable with no duplicates.

  • HT1277 I've started receiving a mass amount of spam emails in my .mac / .me account.  This is the first time I've noticed this problem.  Can I change a setting to stop getting 30 emails / day?

Is there a setting I can select to stop the mass amounts of emails coming in
    Don

Hi Don, you can change your .mac/.me password for safety, but that isn't likely the problem.
There's no real way to stop it, you can train Mail to learn what is Junk/spam though it takes a bit.
    Might try reporting the spam...

  • IMAP EMAIL stopped getting mail on iPhone 5

Just got my new iPHone 5. Set up 2 email accounts - icloud and another IMAP server. Both accounts were working just fine. Recently the one IMAP account stopped getting new email. It looks like it is trying to connect to get the email, in fact it even tells me it has email ready to load but nothing comes across. It just appears to keep trying to connect and get email.
I have no issue getting my email via web browser or with my Apple Mail application. I have tried to delete the account and reinstall several times and have even deleted all the data and reset the phone and started fresh - still having the same issue.
    Any Thoughts?

WoolyLamb did you ever find a solution?
I too am using an iphone5 verizon carrier, with a register.com email address.
Was using IMAP for years with no problem and just in the last month or two
    been getting the same message:
    CANNOT GET MAIL
the mail server "mail.xxxxxxx.com is not responding.
Verify that you have entered the correct account into in Mail settings.
PS - I have no problem at all on my computers where I use the same setup!

  • Stop getting voice mail emails

I have a verizon pearl.  Is there anyway to stop getting a emails everytime I get a voicemail?  I think that the little tape icon is plenty and it is annoying to have to delete each email.
If this is not possible, is there a way to automatically delete the voicemail emails after the voicemails are listened to??

You could set up a filter against the BIS e-mail account to block the e-mail messages from the sender's address.

  • I stopped getting emails on my  iPhone 5s

I upgraded to an iphone 5s and had been getting emails as always, until 2 days ago.  Why did I stop getting my emails and how do I get them back?

Well there is your answer, messages in trash are not in the inbox for the pop account to download.
Why your iPhone is putting messages in the trash is beyond me. In thunderbird that usually means Norton or Trend are dumping all messages that are not in the address book, but iPhone has no anti virus Anti spam junk
Is there an option on your providers webmail to junk all mail not in your address book perhaps?
