The on-line support link to instructions for resetting factory settings of router username and password only takes me to an error page. Yes, I am connected to web and can navigate elsewhere. Any suggestions?

Verizon email not accessible in France!
We are long-time loyal Verizon customers, landlines, mobile, and internet. We set up several new Verizon email accounts to use to manage our affairs in the USA and while traveling in France. However, now that we are in France, we discover that Verizon seems to be blocking access to email when the customer is in another country. This is a real problem and complication for us. Especially since Verizon does not inform it's customers or even admit that it is blocking email in this manner. Is this a permanent policy or any is there any chance that it will be resolved soon?

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal. -

The Hard Reset instructions which are linked in the very first post in this thread, do not make any mention of entering a password. The procedure does not require any password. It requires holding the power button down, pressing the Reset button, then releasing the power button when the correct Palm logo appears. They made it a little awkward on purpose so that it would not be done accidentally.

how to get a working environment back?Once reset the router. Steps to reset the router:
Push the reset button on router for 30 seconds, turn off the router wait for 30 seconds and then power it on. After this process reconfigure the router. Power light should blink when you perform the reset process.
Once the light gets stabilize on the router perform the following steps:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1, it will prompt for the username and password. Provide the username as 'admin' and password as 'admin' or 'password'. Then it will open up the Router setup page.
# Then click on status and check the firmware version. If its not updated then upgrade the firmware once again.
# Then after firmware upgrade reset the router again as explained above.
Then uninstall the existing Cisco connect software from the computer. After uninstallation then configure the router again using Cisco Connect CD as you did earlier. -
Can anyone tell me how to un-freeze my ipod nano screen. Tried to do a reset as instructed, and now my screen is frozen with the message "ok to disconnect".

Try changing the view on iTunes 11 to classic view. To enable the menu bar, press Control-B. To enable the Side Bar, press Control-S. Test to see if you can access the device.

Instructions for converting footnotes to endnotes in Pages not working
Help for Pages on the iPad says that when you tap any notes all notes will be highlighted with a blue frame. At that point you're supposed to be given the option to convert notes from one location to the other.
Tapping foot notes does not cause notes to be highlighted with a blue frame on my machine.
What am I overlooking?

Eric WeirvI was mistaken. The instructions do work. It was my expectations about what a "highlighted frame would look like that were off. I was expecting it to be fairly obvious. What you get is a faint, very thin, blue line around each note. Barely different from the normal appearance of notes you've tapped into. Once noticed, though, the instructions work fine.

My LG Optimus Zone is having software issues and I can't access the Recovery Menu for a Factory Reset. It was working fine until I went to activate it and update the PRL. It turns on, but Freezes on the LG Logo. it currently goes into the LG Download Mode, and When I restore with LG's Mobile Support Tool, It finishes, reboots, and stays at the boot Logo. I was wondering if I can possibly get a replacement phone? This is a little upsetting, as i was hoping to have it transfered from prepaid to postpaid service next month

iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini. It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive. This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?) all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
SO - any suggestions:
1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???

ToddTry this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Why is it, every time I click send e-mail for instructions on resetting my security questions, I don't get them? I just want to play minecraft. I already put $15 in my balance and I can't even spend it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

I do believe for some problems a Factory Reset is the right answer, but not when it comes to missed calls/text messages. -

If you want to extend, using wireless only, the 802.11g Express doesn't support this.
However, if you want to use bridge mode over Ethernet or Powerline adapters then this is supported. -
Can't get ip from verizon router to iMac over ethernet
I've got an MI424WR verizon router that is running wireless fine. I also have a Apple Airport Express connected to the Verizon router via ethernet that is running in bridge mode so I can have access to all of my other Apple wireless points and printers in my house. All of this works flawlessly over wireless.
If I plug my iMac into my ethernet cable and then attempt to plug into the back of the Verizon router, I can only get a self assigned IP address on my iMac over ethernet. I've tried many suggestions on the Mac side, from using a manual IP to trashing several prefence files in the system etc. I've also tried a factory reset on the Verizon router. Nothing is working to get the ethernet working to my iMac.
I'm beginning to think it could be a MAC address issue where the Verizon router is not passing or getting something from the iMac correctly, but I have not idea how to really dig into the Verizon router settings to check this out.
Verizon support is less that useless so I'm hoping some savy network folks out there may have some suggestions for me.

The crux of my problem was something to do with either the last upgrade to Yosemite or to how my Mac was loading startup items or both of these issues.
First, I confirmed that I could connect to the same ethernet cable with another Mac running one OS back from Yosemite. It connected instantly and the Verizon router passed it an ip address with no problem.
Next, I connected my iMac back to the ethernet and then booted my iMac into safemode and then made a new network location in the network prefs. I then turned off the wifi antennae and had the ethernet set to use DHCP. Renewing the DHCP lease still did not work, but once I rebooted again in safe mode with wifi still turned off, after about 5 minutes, the iMac was able to pull a working ip address from the verizon router.
All on the network side was working fine, but once I booted out of safe mode, my finder went into a horrific crash loop. After doing some cleaning of my system preferences and clearing out all startup items I am now back in business.
