Instruments changed and settings reset upon opening a project

Need some help!
I opened a project earlier today to discover that some of the instruments have changed and most of the mixer settings have reset. There's no reason as to why this happened that I can think of, and it's not an old project, I'd only started it last night and had worked on it this morning. I'm not sure what has happened but is there anyway I can get it back to the way it was? There's no way I can adjust it all back to the way it was manually as I'd designed a lot of synth.
I'm going to have a guess that my M-Audio Oxygen 61 has something to do with it as occasionally it changes some of the faders on it's own and I have to keep switching it off and on again when it stops responding. I've got the latest drivers installed from the m-audio site.
I'm running Logic Studio 9 on a Macbook core 2 duo 2.4Ghz, 4Gb mem, 10.5.8
Thanks
Jon

Thanks!!

Runnning Genuine CS6 Photopshop, Illustrator and Indesign crash upon opening  without any error message... worked fine then stopped working.  Running it on Window 8 64-bit.  Have tried opening without 3d party plugins, resetting preferences, and uninstalling and reinstalling.

    did you clear the caches?
and onthe off-chance that ID got far enough to leave something behind, find the InDesign Recovery folder (a hidden folder, I think, since Snow Leopard or Lion) and empty it if there's anything there.

    UPDATE #2:
I chatted with Ashley from Apple Support yesterday and she suggested me to restore the phone and set it up AS NEW, NOT restore from backup.
    And it worked!
Of course, you have to back up everything, but I have my contacts, notes, and pictures on iCloud. All I did was merge them back to the phone from iCloud Setting.
One downside: you'll lose all text messages. But it's worth it.
    So, thank you, Ashley!

  • How do I change the settings to automatically open a file?

I accidentally changed the settings so everytime I open an Excel spreadsheet, it saves automatically to my desktop. These are shared, so this is not beneficial. All I need is to open the file. Please let me know if there is a way to change this, as the only options are saving and prompting each time to save.

I think this uses the default PDF Maker setting, yes. What you should try
is to open Word and then go to the Acrobat tab in the ribbon. Then click on
Preferences and under the Settings tab un-tick the "View Adobe PDF result"
    check-box.

  • "SignalNthResponder(): error code not reset" upon opening Indesign CS2 Debug

I've been using InDesign CS2 Debug (with IDCS2_Updater_Roman_Debug_2.exe file version 4.1.100.1332 applied) on Windows XP for several months with no problems, but lately I've been getting the following sequence of errors upon opening InDesign, which causes InDesign to shutdown. It also occurs before code flow even reaches the constructor for my plug-in so I have no idea what is causing it.
    1. (ASSERT) SignalMgr::SignalNthResponder(): error code not reset
    2. (ASSERT) Putting up an alert when the global error state is not kSuccess can cause crashes if a command is fired while the alert is up! Try moving call to ErrorUtils::PMSetGlobalErrorCode(kSuccess) to before call to CAlert::ErrorAlert.
    3. (Adobe InDesign) Adobe InDesign is shutting down. A serious error was detected. Please restart InDesign to recover work in any unsaved InDesign documents.
    4. (ASSERT) ProtectiveShutdown - Debugger break
    5. Then it shuts down.
But of course restarting InDesign only repeats these messages. Restarting the computer does nothing to help. The only way I have found to alleviate the problem is to uninstall and reinstall InDesign Debug. But then after using InDesign Debug for a couple of days without problems, this sequence reappears. Anyone know how to end this vicious cycle?
    Thanks,
    Miles

  • Can't download some music after deleting all content and settings reset. Even with Icloud backup.

    Hey gusy,
I've reseted All my Content and Settings after my Icloud backup. I wanted to download all my songs back on my phone. I could download most of them, but in some of them it says:This Device Is Already Associated With an Apple ID You can download past purchases on this device with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this device with a different Apple ID for 63 days." Even though I bought the songs!

Do you have more than one Apple ID? Do you have iTunes match? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204074

Since upgrading to OS X Mavericks I have not been able to work on any MS Word tracked changes documents (works fine if no tracked changes or comments in the doc). Every time upon opening such a word file with tr.changes the word processor closes / crashes.
What can be done in this case?

I just discovered that by turning off in tracked changes balloons in Word preferences prevents the software from crashing, but from then on I need to use only the review pane.

here is their screen after turning on "show print tiling"
and here is mine, notice the lack of dashed lines inside the artboard.

  • How can I get Premier to locate files automatically upon opening a project?

I have worked several days on a project in Premier 13, importing several dozen movies and stills.  The program had no trouble locating the files that I had imported whenever I closed the program and reopened it.  Last night I turned off my computer. Tonight when I opened the project the program could not locate the files. I found I can locate them manually, but this is extremely tedious and time consuming. How do I get Premier to locate these files as it did before?

    Where are the files located?
If they are on a device that is not part of the internal system of your computer (ie, an internal hard drive) it could be that the program is having trouble re-mapping its way to these files each time you restart your computer.

  • Start page changes and settings changed every time firefox is turned on goes back to normal setting

I have down loaded firefox several times and it wont keep the options i select in options, the home page goes to snap do whenever firefox is restarted

hello stevestella, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please look out for any suspicious extensions (like 3rd-party-toolbars or things you have not installed intentionally) presently installed under '''firefox/tools > addons > extensions''' or the programs section of the windows control panel and remove those entries.
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

  • Cinnamon panel very slow and settings won't open

As the title says any action that has to do with the panel in Cinnamon is very slow, ie. opening the menu takes 10+secs and even then it is unresponsive. I started cinnamon with "exec gnome-session-cinnamon" through slim.
Also trying to open cinnamon-settings outputs the following:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/lib/cinnamon-settings/cinnamon-settings.py", line 330, in <module>
    MainWindow()
File "/usr/lib/cinnamon-settings/cinnamon-settings.py", line 124, in __init__
    mod = modules[i].Module(self.content_box)
File "/usr/lib/cinnamon-settings/modules/cs_keyboard.py", line 163, in __init__
    gclient = gconf.client_get_default()
NameError: global name 'gconf' is not defined
Update: Cinnamon2d is a little faster but still below what I'd call acceptable, especially since it worked fine in Mint.

The solution suggested in this post worked in opening cinnamon-settings:
    https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=160165
In /usr/lib/cinnamon-settings/bin/SettingsWidgets.py uncomment the import gconf line.

  • Macbook Pros display blinks to blue, icons change size, resolution changes and cant reset. Anyone else have this and have a definitive idea of the cause? End up running diagnostics and resetting PRAM and SMC to resolve but why? Thanks.

We have had several (7-10 recently) macbook Pros start this issue. The screen will jump from regular to blue, the background image will go away and it will be replaced with a blue screen, the icons change size and the screen resolution changes. Someimtes the users name field on the login screen will fly in from off screen... run diagnostics (AppleJack, Disk Util) and reset PRAM and SMC and sometimes this helps but wanted to know if there was a definite reason for this or a better resolution to the problem?
    Thanks all
Macbook Pros are all newer (some only a month old) Unibody models running Snow Leopard and Lion

AppleJack has been discontinued, so you should uninstall that.
I'm suspecting something in software across all machine or a security breach as the primary cause of your problems.
Wipe and install everything fresh, firmware update the router, change passwords, new software form original sources, etc.

  • Photoshop Crashes and Settings Reset

Occasionally Photoshop will crash or I have to force close Photoshop. When this happens the settings within Photoshop reset back to the default settings. This is a pain as I must then go back and reset everything again. This has been happening since CS5 and also happens in CS6. Are there any ways to prevent this?

Photoshop saves its preferences ONLY when it quits (exits) in an orderly way, never when it crashes.
Had you actually set your preferences and then allow Photoshop to quit/exit in an expected way?  Or has it been crashing before you intentionally quit it?  If the latter, then your modified preferences had never been saved, therefore when you relaunch Photoshop it uses the default preferences, because those are the only settings that have been saved.
Obviously, you need to investigate why Photoshop is crashing in the first place.
CS6β has been pretty stable for me, but I haven't claimed my complimentary final version, which I have no reason to expect it will be any less stable than the beta.
Next time you get your preferences the way yo like them, be sure to quit Photoshop right away, so the prefs are saved.  Something I like to do is to record an action as I go about modifying all my preference settings, so next time I need to re-set them I can just run the action with one mouse click.
