Instruments Leaks - simple case does not function! iPhone

Question

I have been attempting to use leaks now and then but always with the same disappointing results - hardly any leaks ever showed up. I patted myself on the back and said good job until I found an obvious leak that wasn't showing up.
So I decided to perform a test. I generated a view app with the wizard and added one line of code:
UILabel *newLabel = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero];
This is clearly a leak yet it is not reported (yes I put a break point on this line and it gets executed).
What am I doing wrong?

Yes it solved the both iphones and ipads problem.
Setting > General > Reset > Reset Network Setting
Can you guess how many iphone and ipad I tested had same problem?
I guess now I have to set all previously known networks up again since I just removed the network configuration profile
