Hi Stephen,
If you want to create the SWCV and import that SWCV to the IR/ESR then your user having either one of the below roles.
SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
Go to transaction SU01 and give your user name and click on display.
Now click on Roles tab, here you check the above roles are appearing or not, if not then you don't have privilizes to do that things.
If you don't have that credentials then contact your BASIS guy.

We are manually correcting it while connecting to SLD. but when we try to import the Software Component Versions from the SLD to IR. It is saying no objects available in 50100. It is not connecting to port 50000. Pls any body help me with some solution. Thanks in advance.

Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "
I've worked in past creating/importing SWCV, but this is new system PI7.0 and stuck.
A) Is my understanding on resolution correct?
Should I go and apply notes 940309 and create client copy of existing client 001
OR
change role of client 001; SXMB_ADMIN -> 'Integration Engine Configuration' to 'Integration Server'
I have no problem in using client 001 as Integration server, all I want is import of SWCV to work. Thanks. Appreciate the help.
B) Here is what I have done and the error:
1) Followed weblog below and created product, software component, technical system, business sytem in SLD.
/people/srinivas.vanamala2/blog/2007/02/05/step-by-step-guide-xml-file-2-xml-file-scenario-part-i
2) When I import the SWC from integration repository getting error
(Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "server:5<system number>00").
C) Pointers used from the forum to debug the issue, but still no luck
Below are the points checked from the forum and all steps are correct, but still have issues with the import
1) check the RFCs SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, connection test pass as the program ID registered with Jco
2) T-code SLDCHECK no errors (followed http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)
3) T-code SLDAPICUST got user PIAPPLUSER, pwd is correct (reset the pwd)
4) logged using PIAPPLUSER http://server:port/sld and it works
5) One of the weblog SLD Check Failed (LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS function doesn't work) referred to apply notes 940309
Notes: 940309
You are installing 'SAP NetWeaver 2004s SR1 ABAP+Java' Usage Type 'NetWeaver Process Integration (PI)'.
You don't want to use the default client 001, but another client as Integration Server.applied portion (PIPostInstallProcess) of OSS notes 940309 and it resolved.
Note:
I still retained client 001 and didn't do client copy as mentioned in the notes. The wizard based CTC tool helped. Here are the details if someone has similar issue and want to know further details:
A NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) Installation (ABAP+Java) has two parts: Installation and configuration. The former is done by the Installer, the latter by the 'Central Template Configuration' (CTC) Tool.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/14/39084136b5f423e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
1. Call the wizard-based configuration tool as described in Configuration Wizard.
2. Select the scenario PI and the task PIPostInstallProcess.
3. Choose Execute.
A list of the steps to be executed by the wizard is displayed.
4. Choose Install. -

Readout Software Component Versions from Database
Hi Folks,
in order to generate a summary of all installed Software Compoment Version from each System in our
really complex Landscape - I want to use some kind of script which uses SQL to readout this data from
the Database of each SAP System. In particular I need all informations which is visible in TX:SPAM.
The other alternative way, would be to export some how this information from the SLD in a human readable format,
which is unfortunately not possible - as of now.
Can you please provide some SQL Statements or at least the corresponding tables (Oracle) which might help you to gather
this info?
regards
BennyHello Benny,
you are right; I hadn't been aware of this difference.
I just looked around a bit. It seems table BC_COMPVERS should be what you are looking for in Java Systems.
Also have a look at BC_SCVERSION.
hope this helps -
SLD and Software Component versions Import
When I try importing Software Component versions from SLD, I was not able to see what I created in SLD. All of the created Software components ( there are some software components created earlier and are in Production as well ) are not visible during import into Integration Repository.
ThanksHi,
<i>All these checks are done and we will not able to connect to SLD if there is a problem right?.</i>
>>>These checks will help you to make in sync with SLD and the repository..
If you are not able to see the SWCs in the SLD itself, then check with other user ids ...During SLDCHeck is it pointing to correct SLD ?

Dinesh Singh.Hi,
As your question says that, your are not able to import your software component version in to IR.
First better you cross check your software component is available or not in the SLD.
Can you please go to SLD and got to search field and give your software component name and search for the availablity. If you are able to see your software component detailse and after referesh your cache.environment->clear sld data cache
and try once and also please check your SLD information like logical system name and everything and try If still your facing the same problem let me know.
Just check if the replies in this thread help you:

Could not read list of software component versions
Hi,
I am trying to import software components from sld into esr. When i click on display available components i get the error :
Could not read list of software component versions
The details show:
Could not read list of software component versions
from SLD (COULD_NOT_READ_SWCV)
HTTP response code: 403 (Forbidden)
we were initially getting access issue also in details, but that has been rectified by assigning appropriate roles.\
Kindly help.Hi,
Use t-code SLDCHECK on ABAP stack to confirm the connection of XI system and SLD.
Check whether SLD and XI system are on same server. Refer to OSS note - 720717 to integrate XI with other SLD.
In the Integration Builder page, Click on the Administration and check the following parameters to make sure they are pointing to right SLD system and port.
com.sap.aii.connect.cr.httpport
com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name
com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.httpport
