Insufficient Network Coverage message

I first noticed problems with my blackberry pearl 8100 smartphone when my blackberry messenger stopped working.  Now I can not access the internet, receive or send blackberry messages, or edit my email preferences.  I try to edit my email preferences and I receive the "Insufficient Network Coverage to Process Your Request" message.  I can only assume that this is the same error that is causing the rest of my problems.  And I am in the same location that I normally use my phone in.

I just found the solution in another message on this forum....take the battery out while the phone is still on and keep it out momentarily then put it back in and it reboots itself and all is well. HUMM...is that really a job for ADVANCED TECH SUPPORT? ha ha Thanks for the solution

  • Insufficient network coverage message for 7130e

For the last 3 hours I've been receiving the message " insufficient network coverage to process your request. try again later."  I've called my carrier & they've directed me to blackberry support after they strengthened my coverage signal.  I've never received this message.  how do I resolve this issue?  I am unable to surf the web.

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan? If not, get one. If you do, try registering the device on the network. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Press the menu key and choose Register Now.

  • Insufficient Network Coverage to Process Request on Curve 8520

I have recently purchased my first Blackberry and wanted to download google synch so that I can synch my google calendar with my Blackberry Calendar. I have been to the google mobile site and the link was texted to my phone. When I try to download the app, I get the message 'There is insufficient network coverage to process your request. Please try again later. T-mobile have told me this is a 'Blackberry problem' I have been trying for three weeks from different locations but no luck. Can anyone shine a light on this? Thanks.

    Hey TBuz,
On your device what are you showing for signal strength? Are you getting edge, gsm, gprs or are you getting EDGE, GSM, GPRS? If you are getting lower case then you are not connected to the data network.
Let us know what you are getting and we can then determine next steps.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

What's your signal when it happens? Does it show as EDGE with at least 3 bars? If not try resetting the device by removing the battery for 1 minute. After the device reboots (~1-3 mins), check the signal and try it again

My iPhone 5 has lost network coverage. Wifi is still ok just can't receive calls or text messages (iMessages are ok though? ). I've re set network settings but that hasn't helped. Has anyone else come across this? Thanks!

    Hey K1978,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having cellular connection issues with your iPhone 5. The following troubleshooting assistant may help to resolve this issue:
Apple - Support - iPhone - Calls Troubleshooting Assistant
    http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/calls/#section_1
For more in-depth troubleshooting, see the following article:
iPhone: Troubleshooting a cellular data connection
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3780
Follow the instructions below for assistance with troubleshooting cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, please test to see if the issue is resolved.
    1. Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
    2. Restart your iPhone.
    3. Ensure that your software is up to date:
              - Check for a Carrier Settings Update. Tap Settings > General > About.
              - Check for an iOS Software Update. Tap Settings > General > Software Update. Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
    4. Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
    5. If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try toggling it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.
    6. Try another location. If a different location works, but the original location still does not, contact your carrier to report the issue.
    7. Reset network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    8. Restore the iPhone as new.
    9. Contact your carrier to:
              - Verify that the iPhone is properly set up on the account with the appropriate, current data plan.
              - Verify that there are no account-related blocks.
              - Find out if there are specific error messages in the carrier logs that could help determine why the issue is occurring.
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, contact your carrier, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or contact AppleCare to troubleshoot further.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Webkit browser issue in low network coverage areas

    Hello.
I usually travel by areas with low network coverage.
Several files I tryed to download keeps on the download windows without progress and without any warning of lost connection or pause icon.
Sometimes it does show the pause icon though.
I work around using the Opera Mobile browser that has a better handling of downloads.
The problem is that i usually download audiobooks so there are big files that I want to start playing inmediately. A feature that has the webkit browser that the Opera browser doesn't.
I think there is a bug in the process of maintaining an connection.
    Greetings from Paraguay.
    Claudio Bogado Pompa.

Hello and thank you for your answer.
I have already sent the same to the Apple feedback, using the link you provided.
I understand that LTE does not support voice and 3G must be enabled somehow at the background for SMS and voice calls, but this is when LTE switch (and Data) is enabled! No problem with that, and no change is required here for the issue I described above.
The problem exists only when I DISABLE LTE (LTE Switch OFF, and Data Switch OFF), but the 3G is still enabled in the background, when I am at areas where the 3G signal coverage is considerably low. In that case I am getting too low signal showing, thus resulting in poor voice quality calls and even lost voice calls (messages are coming afterwards for lost voice calls and iPhone never rang!)!
When I do not need LTE (and Data) and I disable it, then I want to switch to GSM, no Data, so that I can just make my phone calls and have clear conversation at most areas.
Hope the problem I describe is now clear.

  • Acer iconia a100 update fails "network coverage is currently poor"

My Acer Iconia A100 has Android 4.0.3, and all updates fail with the message:   Network Coverage is currently poorbut it is not, at 100%, and all other network functions work fine. I see LOTS of problems and discussion and issues with this same error on later Iconia tab models, but so far no clear solution. Is there one? or is this machine just orphaned? Their support web-site lists nothign available for the A-100.

Thank you. I suspected this, from similar reports/ansewrs for later devices. My device shows:    Android Version 4.0.3    Kernel Version 2.6.39.4+    Image Version Acer_AV041_A100_RV22RC02_PA_CUS1    Build Number Acer_AV041_A100_1.049.00_PA_CUS1 none of which could I relate to their OS upgrade versions:          Also, the documentation page does not actually provide the information on how to upgrade (as claimed above):     So I am not sure how to procede.

  • N71 No Network Coverage

My N71 has no network coverage or signal meter is not constant or low. When I make a phone call I get the message "connection error" or "no network coverage" and when someone calls me my phone appears off. I have the latest software version, and I installed it once again but the problem was not fixed. Can anyone help?

My N71 has exactly thesame problem. It cannot pick network anymore except for a few seconds in 24 hours.I have sent it to two Nokia Centres and they returned it unrepaired to me. I have downloaded the latest firmware and no improvement. It is totally disappointing that Nokia will put an expensive phone in the market that has all manners of design failures. I bought mine for $500. In addition, it is a shame that Nokia does not have a software solution to the problem and cannot even advise hapless consumers on what to do. Is Nokia asking for or expecting a class action for damages?

  • Acer Iconia A200, poor network coverage error, won't update

I have the Acer Iconia A200 tablet and I'm trying to make sure that it is updated. It has become very slow. When I go to check for software updates I receive the error: "Network Coverage - Network coverage is currently poor. Please move to a location with better coverage to continue." When I first started receiving this error, I only had 2 signal bars on my WIFI so I moved to the room that my WIFI is located in. I had full signal and still received the same error. I did a factory restore on it and went through the setup process and still received the same error. I can get online, download games, etc. Granted watching things like Netflix or anything it is extremely slow and takes a very long time to load. I brought the tablet with me to work today to see if maybe it is just something with my WIFI. I logged into our network here and I am still receiving the same network coverage error. Please help! Thank you in advance!

it's an error message about Acer server not reachable.simply Acer shutted down the old update servers, so now the only way to update or check the latest version, is using the Acer support website: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers/4005;-;A200

  • Help for technical support & network coverage

    IPhone5
    Version operating system 7.1.2(11D267)
    ios 7
Technical support and network coverage was expired. How to fix those matters?
Try many ways but couldn't find the resolution
    Please share some opinion
Message was edited by: Bb Arianna

You have combined 2 different issues. Free technical support expires after 90 days unless you bought AppleCare, which extends it to 2 years. You can pay for support after that, use this free forum that is staffed by volunteer users, or visit an Apple store genius bar (which is also free).
Network coverage is a completely different issue, and has nothing to do with technical support. You must contact your carrier if you have a network problem.

  • Trying to download iOS 7.1 and I get a "Network Error" message. How can I fix this?

Hello. Today iOS 7.1 came out and I want to get it.  I currently do not have 2.5GB of free storage on my iPhone 5s so I wanted to use iTunes to download and install iOS 7.1.  The problem is that every time I try to download iOS 7.1 I get a "Network Error" message (screenshot provided).  The alternative I tried to use is downloading the IPSW file directly from the internet but I also get a network error (screenshot provided).  I was able to download anything and everything else I wanted to download today but only get this error when downloading an Apple IPSW file.  I downloaded iOS 7.0.6 less than a week ago through iTunes and didn't have an error but with iOS 7.1 I am having many difficulties.  I disconnected my internet and tried again but still no success.  Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem?  Any input will help!  Thanks so much!
    The error through iTunes
    The error through Google Chrome

Try directly from your device. I had the same problem but it updated when i tried from the device itself.
