Insufficient storage space

I keep getting insufficient storage space in calendar when I try to upload attachments to my CalDAV server.  Running  Server 3.
How do I increase this storage space?

Yes. But it's the large attachments that I need to upload.
It's also just the one user that has reached this point as they upload all the attachments. So it's a user setting about storage availability for CALDAV. Just don't know where to change it or what terminal command to issue

  • Issues with exporting movie - insufficient storage space

    Hello,
Last night I tried to export a 50 minute movie that I created - I checked my hard disk space and I had 4.3Gb available at the time. I didnt think I would have enough space to export in 720p resolution but tried anyway. Imovie started to create the movie but stopped ~60% through stating that it had insufficient storage space to complete the export. But now, instead of having 4.3Gb available I only have 335 Mb available as I believe Imovie did not delete the unfinished file when it cancelled the export (its storage usage went from 500 mb to 4.3gb after the failed export). The issue is, I now have to way of accessing the unfinished file to delete it and do not have enough storage space to export at a lower resolution! Has anyone else run into this issue?
Is there anyway to access the files embedded in iMovie?
If not if I delete iMovie do my saved projects remain?
Otherwise is there anyway to export my movie onto my computer directly?
I unfortunately did not back up the iPad prior to the export so I cant restore it from a previous point.
    Really appreciate your help!

Sadly you are rather stuck at this point.
This appears to be an error in movie that does not clear the space if it is unable to finish creating a movie.
Your 50 minute video would be about 4 gb by my estimates.
imovie would first create this video within the app (apps are sandboxes and must create files within their own memory area).
Once the video is made, iMovie can copy this video to the camera roll.
The way iOS works is to avoid mixing data, thus it is a copy process.
Which means you would have to have 8 gb of space to create your video.
I am going to guess that iMovie correctly made the video, but now has no where to copy it.
And rather annoyingly it holds on to the video for now.
You need another 4 gb space to compete the export.
As you have not enough space left on the iPad you are in a bind and there are only a couple of options left for you.
Firstly, if you delete iMovie iOS you will lose your projects.
I do not advise deleting iMovie.
You cannot export the project, and iMovie iOS projects contain the source video.
So you would need about 4gb of space to export the project.
Also do not delete the source videos, iMovie just links to the camera roll.
So if you delete the video from the photos app then iMovie will lose the video too.
There is no way that is Apple sanctioned to clear the space in iMovie.
Apple has strict rules on what we can discuss in these forums, so I cannot help or advise how to clear iMovie of the half made video.
My best advise would be to delete another app, or files from your iPad.
I hope you have at some point backed up your iPad to your Mac, of iCloud?
If not then do so now.
Then I would suggest you delete large apps to clear space.
    These can be restored later.
Look for games or apps that save their user data online.
I have a few Gameloft games, and they store my game data on their servers.
This way you can restore where you were later again.
Or you could connect to iTunes, and delete all the music off the iPad.
THen finish exporting the video, and restore the music later.
Have a look here to see how to use iOS to check what other apps are using space:
    http://ipadinsight.com/ipad-tips-tricks/how-to-see-how-much-space-is-being-used- by-each-of-your-apps-in-ios-5/
Good luck, and I hope it works out for you..

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. You have to do it in the Video app, not in the iTunes app.

  • Sync manager part fail: "Error: Insufficient Storage Space&qu

I'm using sync manager to transfer my collection of 3502 songs from my Zen Xtra to my PC before I upgrade to a 60GB Vision M.
It completes the sync but with 92 songs moved and a message that it is "complete with errors". The remaining songs each have the message "Error: Insufficient Storage Space"
The peculiar thing, my computer has 240GBs free!
Please can someone advise how to fix this and backup my songs? - Thank you.

You're not the only one with problems synching with?an Xtra. It appears that creative introduced a bug in their newer software that causes the transfer to fail regardless of how much space you have. Try installing the old software that came with the Xtra to copy it off. Creative sure has stellar support for their products, eh?Next time I'll go with another vendor. This is simply shoddy service on their part.

    Dear Friend,
Back up your device by iCloud or iTunes. Then restore your device from the back up you did and try to update to IOS7.1.1 again.
There are some apps that save too much data, so you can manage it by Settings, General, Usage.
Try to erase messages you don't need anymore, especially messages with photos.
    Hope it helps

  • New sd card but phone says insufficient storage space

My husband and I each have a Galaxy S5. His phone was telling him he had insufficient storage space. We realized he didn't have an SD card, so we bought a 16GB one. But it still is telling him he has insufficient space. He's changed his settings. But we're not really sure what he needs to do. The store told us to buy an SD card (but to buy it elsewhere since they are expensive in their store). So we did. Any thoughts?

Not on my phone it doesn't and I have an SD card installed.  They save to the cloud but whenever I take photos, download a document or photo from email or text it does not go to the card, it goes to the internal memory and I have to manually move them over.  Spent 30min over at Verizon for a tech to tell me I have to move them over manually.   If you can tell me how to make it automatically do this on the S5 I would love it.  On my LG I had settings and could tell it save photos to the card or save documents to the card and every time I downloaded something it would go to the card.  Maybe I am not understanding where the settings are for this but the tech said I had to do it manually.  Mary

  • App Store says I have insufficient storage to download an app. Storage says I have enough local space for the app. What do I do?

Cannot download an app because of insufficient storage, but the phone has plenty of local storage. Is this an incorrect diagnosis by the App Store? What do I do?

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

  • CS6 Bridge Insufficient disk space error when on the domain

We have a windows domain enviroment, and we run iMacs for the design team.  Using the newest Mac OS X we get the "Insufficient disk space to complete this opperation " error after loading images in Bridge and then try to change or saved them.  When we are not connected to the domain, we can modify and save them locally fine.  But once we log onto the Windows Domain (we have mapped drives using SMB links for storage) you can not use Bridge.  Is this a cashing issue with the mapped drives or is this something else.  I've only seen one other post on this and there was never a real fix.
They could use Brige fne on CS5 using the previous version of MacOS(in facct they still have to right now).  So i'm not sure if it is a Mac os issue or a windows/mac issue.  From what I understand the two macs (older laptop and newer laptop) are set up the same way with the mapped drives using the same Domain log in so the preferences are the same.
The new mac is loaded with an i7, and 16gb ram, and plenty of drive space so I know its not that.
    Thanks for any help
    Tumi-ITGuy

    Anybody have any ideas?
Not many here now about network set ups. Bridge is not designed for use over a network and also officially not supported by Adobe.
Bridge also uses a user specific library for its cache data.
This guy used to hang around here and has a successful set up for a network, try his blog:

  • INSUFFICIENT STORAGE TO SYNC MEDIA

In attempting to sync my music to my BB with Desktop Software, I received the above message.
The explanation for it says: "If you don't have enough storage space on your smartphone or tablet for your complete music library, but you want to synchronize specific playlists as well as a random selection of your songs, select the check box beside one or more playlists. Click Random Music."
I only want to upload about ten songs, so I would like to use this option, the problem is  I cannot see my complete music library to check the boxes  in Desktop Software.
    Any suggestions?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have both Windows Media and Itunes....my songs are all in both. But nothing shows up in Desktop mamager that allows me to check any songs, playlists etc. (Just tried to do a screen shot of the page it shows for you but wasnt able to)
It just seems to me that under the "Insufficient storage" warning, it should give you an option to check off certain songs or playlists but it doesn't. There is nothing under the warning. I chked both windows media and itunes and both are working fine.

  • Wbadmin Insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data

Wbadmin throws the following error when running on Win8.1 upgraded from Win8 and using the -allCritical flag.
    Insufficient storage available
to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data
I want to be able to get the operating system's state volumes and not use -include:c: in a fixed way for cases when os is not on drive C.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Yanivac,
For the issue, the target volume for a critical-volume backup can be a local drive, but it cannot be any of the volumes that are included in the backup. This is important.
Also, this error means that there is no enough space on the target volume.
I suggest you check the space on your target volume.

  • M4 aqua insufficient storage

My 1 week old m4 aqua gives the error insufficient storage when trying to update certain applications. In spite of the fact that I've installed a 16gb memory card I still get this error. The memory card is brand new. I tried to move some apps to the micro sd, but the phone will not allow me. Please advice.

Hi Pierre99998, welcome to the community!
You can clear the data of applications to free up some space (note that this resets aps to how they were when you first installed them). To do so just go into Settings > Apps > Downloaded > tap desired app > tap Clear data. Move as much data as possible to the SD card, delete any apps you don't use/need any longer.

  • Adobe Bridge CS5, error when creating contact sheet "There is insufficient disk space..."

I am running Bridge CS5 for the first time and I receive this error when attempting to create a contact sheet. "There is insufficient disk space to complete this operation." The image files I am using are web optimized and very small. The error even occurs when attempting one small image. I have gone back to using Bridge CS4 and it works just fine. Any help?
    Thanks!

I think I narrowed this down to having a network volume mounted with a share name of "Users".  The strange thing is even you if unmount the volume you will still have problems.  However, if you avoid mounting the volume entirely (from boot) it will be OK.
The solution, it appears, is to rename the sharepoint to something other than "Users".  This worked for us.  I'm not sure if it matters whether the server is Windows or Mac OS.  In our case the sharepoint was an AFP volume on Mac OS.
We had other errors related to Bridge such as "unable to create folder" and the path in the message appeared to be /Users/currentUser/.....  which made no sense at all.  However, if Bridge was internally trying to use /Volumes/Users (the mounted sharepoint), it would not only not find "currentUser", but it would not have permissions to create that folder either.
So, another possible solution could be to grant file creation rights on the network volume "Users".  Another not-so-great idea.
    Hope that helps someone else!

  • Insufficient Disk Space: What do I do? I do not want to delete all of my projects. If I delete them and then empty the trash it will free up some space but I have deleted way more than I am tryig to import.

I keep getting a message when I try to import pics. Insufficient disk space. What do I do? I do not want to delete all of my pics!

Easiest thing to do would be to buy an external hard drive and move your Aperture library to that drive.
