"Insufficient Store Credit" message.

Okay, so I am trying to download an app in the Itunes store that cost's $9.99, however every time I try to download it, Itunes says that I have insuffient store credit, even though I have $10.33, anybody know whats going on here?

iTunes adds tax to the items that you are going to purchase, depending on your state you don't have enough funds to purchase that item because of the tax.

I'm having trouble purchasing in-app items on my iPhone 5S. I get a popup saying I have insufficient store credit but I literally just redeemed a $50 gift card and I'm trying to purchase an item for $49.99 (my store credit is $50.46). I do not have a credit card linked to my account and I never have so it isn't a credit card problem. Any suggestions and/or solutions? Thanks.

You may need to add more credit because of sales tax as you would need to account for that.

Log out of your iTunes account and then log back in. Sometimes
remaining credit does not update properly when iTunes is open
for long periods. rbrylawski and steve359 make important points

If you can't spend it then you can try contacting iTunes support and ask if they can remove the balance from your account : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

TS1424 Insufficient Remaining Store Credit

I just recently used an iTunes card to add more money to my account, however every time that I have attempted to make a purchase it says that I have "Insufficient Remaining Store Credit". My account says that I have money in my account though. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? If you have any suggestions on how I can fix my account please let me know. Thanks!

"Valid address necessary to use store credit" ERROR MESSAGE

I have been unable to complete the rental process.
I bought Apple TV and was able to connect to my WI-FI, ugrade the firmware, enter my personal settings. Ther problem is that when I select a movie and click to rent it, it connects to iTunes Store and comes back with an error message about "valid address needed to use store credit"
I checked my .mac account personal and billing settings and everything seems OK. I am not even sure what "store credit" means. I am trying to execute a transaction with a credit card on file...

I had the same problem. I tried logging in using my .mac address, thinking that that would work. Is it supposed to work? Doesn't work for me. Not only that, but I can't figure out how to go back and correct it and change it to something else.
Why would Apple let me buy music and movies using my .mac account, and not rent movies? Or is this pilot error and I'm doing something stupid?
Suggestions welcome.

Getting insufficient credit message even though or...

I am getting insufficient credit message even though order is delivered and renewal is on 1st Mar 2015. I have subscribed to India 800mins monthly from Japan. The order for March has already been delivered on 26th Feb. Renewal date is on 1st March. Then why am I not able to call a mobile number in India. Please check.This is causing unnecessary harassment.

I am going to report this as a fraud if the issue is not resolved.I have not received any reply till now.

We are being told "sales tax" is being added. However there is NO internet sales tax YET. Unless you are in the state where iTunes has a physical residence, you should not be getting "taxed" on internet sales. I am demanding to know WHAT jurisdiction is "taxing" these sales and at what percent. By the way, as an online retailer myself, you MUST disclose the sales tax rate AND the state body taxing you when you make a purchase. I suspect this "tax" never sees it's way into any public tax account.
