Int'l Msgs: On MORE plan, but received message advising of charges after landing.

Hi, I'm on the MORE plan which is supposed to include free international messaging. When I landed in Japan and powered up my phone I received the standard activation text that stated what my fees would be to send/receive texts ($.50/$.05). Is that a fluke?

The free unlimited international messaging is for messages sent from the USA to another eligible country http://vz.to/P0ZQqn.
As you are roaming internationally, you would be responsible for any texts sent and received while in a foreign country.

The message is referring to not having enough space on your iPad, not to not having enough space in your iCloud account. Purchasing additional storage in your iCloud account does not give you more available space on your iPad.
You can check how much space you have available on your iPad by going to Settings>General>Usage. If you don't have enough, you'll have to delete or sync some data off your iPad to free up additional space.

Email - POP3 account - how to keep/save the received messages on the phone after deleting on server

Hello,
I'm new on this forum and I'd like to receive some help and indication with regards to one issue related to email POP3 account.
I'm using a BB Z10, and after setting all the email accounts I have seen that on the company email account, which is a POP 3, I can't keep the messages on device after deleting them on server (this is programmed to be once at 2 days).
Exists the possibility to check an option which allows saving the received messages on the device? As it is happening on other devices from other brands?

Sorry, no.
The Z10 utlizes ActiveSync technology which basically (for lack of a better term) "mirrors" the messages available on your server. You delete them from the server, they are deleted from the device.
You'd be best off on your server instead, to "file" or move those messages to another folder. This too might delete the messages on your device (since they no longer appear in the INbox, but at least they will not be completely deleted.

BBM not sending messages, but receiving messages, weird

hi,
I have a bb torch 9800
The bb messenger was working fine till today, I can't send any messages via it.
I've tried deinstalling the application, installing it again, but it didn't help.
I've also removed the contact, added the contact again, still it didn't help.
All messages keep timeouting and then a red cross is being displayed.
Any ideas how to fix this, pls?

I have been having a similar problem. I currently have a blackberry curve 9320 and my BBM doesn't seem to be working propely. The problem is, everytime i try to send a message to a contact my messages would not send, it only shows the checkmark (tick) with no 'D' or 'R' and my display picture doesn't change either and my personal messages will not update. However i can see all of my contacts updates and am recieving messages from them. I have already tried a battery pull many times, i've uninstalled and re installed BBM, i've registered on host routing and have sent a service book, but nothing seems to work. This has been going on for more than 3 days now and i really would like my BBM back to normal. If anyone knows the solution to this, please help me as i really want my BBM back to normal asap!!! How can I receive messages on my ipad after switching my phone to android

I used to have all Apple products but decided to switch it up this time when I upgraded my phone. My hubby is still on all Apple. When I try to message him from my ipad/imessage, he will receive is on his iphone, but it will no longer let him reply. Any ideas if there is something that I need to change? I took my phone number out of iMessage on my iPad so that I can receive texts on my phone.... but sometimes it is more convenient for me to use my ipad... it also makes me wonder if any other friends who have iphone might text and I will never get it.....

You can text with anybody using your Android phone no matter what type of phone the other person is using. The phones will be using standard SMS text messaging. You cannot use your iPad to text with Android devices, Messages on the iPad only works with other Apple iOS devices.
If your friends are trying to message you from their iPhones to your iPad, they have to send the text to your Apple ID email address and you have to set up messages to use your Apple ID instead of the iPhone number. Your Apple ID should already be accessible in the settings since you have to set up Messages with your Apple ID in the first place.
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Your Apple ID email address. Select the Apple ID in there.

If he is an iPhone user it will send a iMessage to u because that is what his phone is use to so he will have to hold his sent iMessage down and click send as text message and it should send to ur new phone hope it helps

How can I stop iOS from opening a recently received message when I click on the messages app to compose an unrelated message to a different contact? I want to read it later, when I have time to reply, and I don't want to forget to go back to it.

iPhone messages automatically open when I don't want them to
One of my first ever flip phones had a wonderful function where you could choose a checkbox next to received messages to make them appear read or unread. This was very convenient for messages which you read, but don't have time to reply to immediately, and want to remember to come back to later.
In contrast, the latest, greatest iPhone not only does not have this rudimentary message management function, but it goes one step further in the wrong direction. If there is just one received, unread message, and you click on the messages icon, the new message will automatically be opened. It is opened irrespective of whether you have time to read it right away, irrespective of if you simply wanted to compose a new message or go back to another already read message. It just opens the new one, and then you are in a position where you have to read it and respond to it right there, or risk forgetting about it and failing to reply to it altogether. I sometimes receive a lot of messages over a period of a few hours, so it is very easy to lose track of these half-read messages in the mayhem. I have missed countless messages because of this problem. Incidentally, if there is more than one received message, then the application doesn't automatically open any of them, which is much better, because you can at least choose when you want to open one of the unread messages. But ideally, you should be able to go through your list of received messages and check or uncheck them as read or unread at any time, so that you can easily find messages that still need to be replied to, or reconsidered.
Does anybody have a solution to this problem? It strikes me as a simple data management solution that should be, but is not an option in the basic functionality of the app. Frustrating!

Is this an IMAP account?
If so, delete the messages in Mail from all folders and quit Mail.
Go the the website and clear the messages from all folders there.
Reopen Mail and verify the messages have been deleted for all folders.

Servlet cannot receive message from applet after sent message to applet

In my Applet-Servlet communication, my servlet can not receive message from the applet after the servlet sent message to the applet. It will throw java.io.EOFException: Expecting code

It sounds like you are not receiving messages from other iPhones after switching to an Andriod device. I found an article with the steps you will need to take to straighten this out:
Symptoms
This article will provide assistance if you're experiencing any of the following symptoms:
You are unable to receive SMS on your non-Apple device when sent from another person using an iPhone.
You are unable to send SMS to a non-Apple device because they are sent as an iMessage.
Resolution
If you are experiencing one of the symptoms above, the cellular phone number may still be registered with iMessage. iMessage is registered with your cellular telephone number when you turn it on with your iPhone. If you want to deregister your phone number:
Tap Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off
If you still cannot deactivate iMessage after you perform the steps above, or if you no longer have access to the iPhone, please contact Apple support for assistance.
If you don't have access to your old iPhone, you will need to reach out to Apple support for additional assistance.

I have a new iPhone 6 plus and all is OK. But the mail shows more than 400 'unread' messages whereas there are none in the mailbox or trash or anywhere else I have looked. I can send and receive with no problem. I'm sure I have no unread messages.

first of all the iphone 4 is not a 4G phone
second it sounds like your iphone could be locked to another operator then the sim you have inserted
