Intallation is being rolled back post deploying the SP1

Trying to deploy SP1 across all win 7 systems. It's being successfully installed when PCs are not in domain but for Domain joined system it's being rolled back post initial installation and reboot. Please help me do get rid of this issue.

Hello Tech Olive,
What do you mean of the sentence ‘for Domain joined system it's being rolled back post initial installation and reboot’? the domain-joined systems keep roll back to install the Windows 7 service package 1?
How do you deploy the Windows 7 service package 1?
Do you receive any error messages in the domain-joined Windows 7?
Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
1. Check if we can install the Service Package manually.
2. As you mentioned that only domain-joined computer can't normally install the Windows 7 service package 1. I think it is related to domain setting. Please confirm with the domain administrator to check if there are group policy or setting to block the
installation

  • PLZ helpppppppppppppppppppppppp want to roll back "active" of the recovery partition...

    Hi,
    I need serious help,,,,,,any help is appreciated :
    --- I believed my second hard drive is burnt , but it was not ( not able to access it, it was because i had changed the workgroup in NTFS),
    --- at this stage my windows 7 would boot normally , but like a new user, no access to previous files
    --- so tried to do restore,    F11  showed there were no previous saving for restore
    --- tried to do recovery , F11  showed that "restore" botton is gray/ inactive
    --- someone on internet suggested to make the recovery partition , "active", so i did it through disk management
    --- then when windows boot up, it went directly to previous recovery page with inactive botton,, i can not access my previous windows , i can not boot up to windows again
    --- so now it boots up and goes to useless recovery page
    ---  through bios activated "HP Quick web" , and playing with photo viewer in quickweb i noticed all my files on the "maybe burnt drive"  are all there!!!!    and i can view them,,,,,,,   ooops!!! my whole problem was changing windows group!!
    ---   so if i can just boot to previous windows , then i can change the group and access the files...but
    --- now i cant go out of recovery page,,,,, now that it is "active partition" everytime i turn on computer is JUST goes to recovery page screen (which is inactive),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
    --- how can i roll back, or inactive the recovery partition and use my drive "C" previous partition as the only active one
    I dont have recovery CD (I will get it tomorrow, i ordered it by HP, 30 bucks!  phewww),,,,,,,,,

    Hi,
    If you don't already have one, use another PC to create a Windows 7 Recovery CD.  Download the relevant ISO from the links below.
    Windows 7 32bit
    Windows 7 64bit
    You should use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD.  Once created, or if you already have this, insert the CD and restart to boot from it.  Select the Repair option.
    Select the 'Repair your Computer' option and follow Option 2 in the guide on the link below to run Start-up Repair – you may need to run this 2 or 3 times.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Thanks for the prompt help. Is there any other way instead of removing the DTD line ?. Because the xml is coming as a string and removing the dtd and then adding it will unneccesary hamper performance. Do you any other way in which even though I don't remove the line I get the output without removing the dtd line ?.
    thanks and regards,

  • Regarding roll back and reassign the value.

    hi all,
    i am using forms6i.
    Re: how to avoid the form's message situation
    as we discussed my process has to happen like this. since it is a new topic so i have raised new thread.
    what i want to do is based on the input values(base table values) i have to call one procedure, the procedure returned value i have to assign to one of my database field and one new record should go into other table.
    so what i am doing is at the key-commit trigger i have written a procedure inside that i am calling a procedure which results in one value which i have to assigned to my blocks item. and one record to the table
    my code in key commit trigger is something like
    go_block('block name');
    first_record;
    based on the forms parameter call procedure
    if procedure returns error then rollback otherwise assign value to base table item and one record to other table so
    job_proc();
    :block.item:= output ;
    insert into job_table() values();
    if system.last_record = 'TRUE' then
    exit
    else
    next_record;
    end loop;now senario is like if i am in fifth record four record processed as i explained before. in fifth record if i am getting error means
    all four records value and insert statement should be reassined and rolled back.
    so i have written like
    exception when others then
    forms_ddl('rollback');
    go_block(block name);
    go_record(system.current_record);
    :block.item := null;
    if :system.trigger_record = 1 then
    exit;
    else
    previous_record;
    end if;
    end loop;is this is the way to rollback or is there any better way?
    please advise.
    Thanks..

  • Should Verizon provide a roll back option from the gingerbread update?

    Simple and straightforward. Do you believe That verizon should provide a rollback option from the gingerbread update?
    My vote would be Yes.
    Here is some reasons why
    1 First and foremost the update should not have been forced.
    2 When making significant changes to the operating system like gingerbread has Motorola should have the decency to contact Droid owners And inform them of the changes they attend to make.
    3 The update wasn't really necessary.
    4 ethically I believe that verizon should provide a roll back option.
    5 regardless of what the fine print says in the contract just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is ethical to do.

    Talk about beating a dead horse.......
    I was President of the GB Sux Club after it came out. At least a dozen bugs and glitches were created after I installed it.
    But, you know what?
    In the weeks that have followed, as apps have been updating (you should check the Market for available updates if you don't have them set to auto), and I check daily, something interesting has happened.
    Most of the bugs and glitches have mysteriously gone away.
    Is/was GB the "problem"? It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't the problem.
    After GB, my phone did and does bizarre things from time to time that makes me wonder how they could be caused by a conflict the O.S. is having with a 3rd party app.
    The 3G dropping issue notwithstanding.
    There are some issues, yes. But, I contend apps are the main "problem".
    Can going back to Froyo (if it were possible) do more harm than good, if 3rd party apps are updated for GB? That's above my pay grade.
    I did a reset after GB and it solved nothing. I defiantly refused to un-install all apps, or reboot in Safe Mode.
    I did NOTHING but let the developers update their apps and right now, my phone is largely bug and glitch free, again.
    In politics, there was the saying, "It's the economy, stupid". In Android, "It's the apps, stupid". (Not speaking to anyone in this forum).
    Yes, the evil empire has it right when it comes to the stranglehold they have on which apps are allowed on their tiny iphones.
    But, you know what? If, OEMs did the same, the Android experience wouldn't be the frustrating situation it is at times, ESPECIALLY after EACH update.
    In my opinion.

  • I wanna roll back to iOS5 the easy way

    How do we roll back to iOS5, from 5.0.1, that restore is PIA, any easy way? If there is no "easy way" then Apple should find one, it helps when ever their updated OS creates more issues, it should give an option to roll back to previous OS, as easily it  a 50mb update installs, using just wifi, that's all we want..

    You can't. You can't roll back by any Apple-approved method. And if you did chances are it wouldn't fix whatever your problem is. If you have issues with 5.0.1 fix them as most others have. There's nothing wrong with the release, only with your phone.

    Do you have any other drive connected, which has a copy of FCP X?
    I would make a copy of the application in some drive, just in case; then disconnect the drive, delete the application (could use FCS Remover to delete everything related).
    Then, try installing from the purchases tab in the App Store.

  • About the Roll back mechanism

    From the specification I know that when an instruction is a long-delay operation the instructions behind will be roll back, the question is how the queue of the thread recover?
    for example, when encounter a store instruction, the instructions in E and D stage of the pipeline will be roll back, but the very instruction stay in the M stage, when the memory acess operation finish, how the schedualer recover the instruction queue?
    Any comment is welcome, thanks

    As I understand the documentation, a thread will roll back and (if the instruction in flight is a long latency instruction or a resource conflict) go to a Wait (not-ready-to-issue) state. The rolled-back instructions will not re-issue until their input conditions are resolved. Remember that the F and S stages (where the instructions are rolled back to) are Fetch and Thread Selection, so this is before instructions are picked from any of the threads on the core and before they are decoded. The in-flight instruction will continue from the M stage when the memory operation completes.
    Also, I think the rollback condition caused a store operation only happens when the store buffer is full, not on all store operations.

  • Data Services job rolling back Inserts but not Deletes or Updates

    I have a fairly simple CDC job that I'm trying to put together. My source table has a record type code of "I" for Inserts, "D" for deletes, "UB" for Update Before and "UP" for Update After. I use a Map_CDC_Operation transform to update the destination table based on those codes.
    I am not using the Transaction Control feature (because it just throws an error when I use it)
    My issue is as follows.
    Let's say I have a set of 10,000 Insert records in my source table. Record number 4000 happens to be a duplicate of record number 1. The job will process the records in order starting with record 1 and begin happily inserting records into the destination table. Once it gets to record 4000 however it runs into a duplicate key issue and then my try/catch block catches the error and the dataflow will exit. All records that were inserted prior to the error will be rolled back in the destination.
    But the same is not true for updates or deletes. If I have 10000 deletes and 1 insert in the middle that happens to be an insert of a duplicate key, any deletes processed before the insert will not be rolled back. This is also the case for updates.
    And again, I am not using Transaction Control, so I'm not sure why the Inserts are being rolled back, but more curiously Updates and Deletes are not being rolled back. I'm not sure why there isn't a consistent result regardless of type of operation. Does anyone know what's going on here or  what I'm doing wrong/what my misconception may be?
    Environment information: both source and destination are SQL Server 2008 databases and the Data Services version we use is 14.1.1.460.
    If you require more information, please let me know.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your reply. Here are all the options on my source table:
    My Rows per commit on the table is 10,000.
    Delete data table before loading is not checked.
    Column comparison - Compare by name
    Number of loaders - 1
    Use overflow file - No
    Use input keys - Yes
    Update key columns - No
    Auto correct load - No
    Include in transaction - No
    The rest were set to Not Applicable.
    How can I see the size of the commits for each opcode? If they are in fact different from my Rows per commit (10,000) that may solve my issue.
    I'm new to Data Services so I'm not sure how I would implement my own transaction control logic using a control column and script. Is there a guide somewhere I can follow?
    I can also try using the Auto correct load feature.  I'm guessing "upsert" was a typo for insert? Where is that option?
    Thank you very much!
    Riley

  • Statement in Transaction Does Not Roll Back

    I have a group of MySQL statements in a method of a Java application.
    I include an SQL error in the last statement to test the rollback of the transaction.
    All the statements roll back, EXCEPT for the one detailed below.
    The MySQL table:
         CREATE TABLE Counter (
              number INT( 4 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
              account_id VARCHAR( 12 ) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY
         ) ENGINE = InnoDB;I have run the staement as a PreparedStatement and a Statement:
    PreparedStatement:
         String updateCounterStr =
              " UPDATE Counter " +
                   " SET number = number + 1 " +
                   " WHERE account_id = ? "
         updateCounter = con.prepareStatement ( updateCounterStr );
              updateCounter.setString( 1, accountID );
              int uc = updateCounter.executeUpdate();     Statement:
         Statement updateCounterStatement = con.createStatement();
              int updatecounter = updateCounterStatement.executeUpdate(
                   "UPDATE Counter SET number = number + 1 " +
                   "WHERE account_id = \'" + accountID + "\'"
              con.setAutoCommit( true );     //     ------------------------------------ Transaction ENDS
              updateCounterStatement.close();
    //               updateCounter.close();
              ... several more
              con.close();
         } catch(SQLException ex) {
              System.err.println("SQLException: " + ex.getMessage());
              if (con != null) {
                   try {
                        System.err.print("Transaction is being ");
                        System.err.println("rolled back");
                        con.rollback();     //     < ------------------------------------ con.rollback() HERE
                   } catch(SQLException excep) {
                        System.err.print("SQLException: ");
                        System.err.println(excep.getMessage());
    }     //     ---------------------------------------- END the methodIn both cases Counter is incremented, but does NOT roll back.
    The other statements in the transaction do roll back,
    I am using:
    mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.18, for apple-darwin8.2.0 (powerpc) using readline 5.0
    on Mac OS X 10.4.x
    I would greatly appreciate a solution to this problem.
    Many thanks in advance

    I think autocommit is true by default. Also, it looks like your'e setting it to true, and then executing more SQL.
    Explicitly set it to false, and DON'T set it back to trueif there's any chance you're going to want to rollback after that.

  • Photoshop Elements/Premiere 9 OEM Bundle not installing. Rolls back at end

    I have a toshiba satellite T135 with AMD Turion Neo X2 Dual Core processor L625, 4 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics operating on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition.
    I am trying to install adobe photoshop elements 9 and adobe premiere elements 9.  It gets to the end where it is almost done.  Icon on desktop, and then it decides to rollback the installation.  I tried many of the suggestions on this forum: copied disc info to folder on c drive.  Started with a clean boot.  That actually made it worse because it also caused the computer to blue screen.

    Please help me get this software installed.  Frustrating that a legit well known piece of software has so many problems just getting installed.

    I am trying to install a new purchased version of PSE 9 and havin the same issues.  It simply rolls back when near the end of the installation process.   I am on hold with phone support now, but from the sounds of things here on this forum, Adobe is aware of the issue but has no suggestions to fix it.
    This is the first time in my life that I have had issues with installing a new, purchased piece of software.
    C'mon Adobe Support, time to answer us on this and get it solved, or perhaps you would offer us refunds?

  • Container transaction NOT rolled back after a long period of time.

    Hi, I am using Weblogic 6.1SP5 on RedHat 7.1 and I have seen an unexpected
              behaviour with an MDB and I would like to know if there is any circumstance
              in which a transaction is not rolled back automatically by the container
              after the transaction timeout specified on MDB descriptor expired.
              The fact is I have seen a thread locked for 3 entire days without any
              exception being raised (the trans timeout was set to 900 seconds for
              debugging porpouses)
              Sadly I didn't thought on issuing a ps -ax and a netstat -np in order to see
              if there was any connection active for any of the JVM threads.
              As an aside note I had to throw a kill -9 to Weblogic's JVM in order to
              completely stop it because using the standard "stopWeblogic.sh" script it
              got stalled.
              The only unusual thing that I can think of the MDB is doing is opening a
              connection against a remote system via a socket.
              My question is. Is it possible that a thread locked on I/O (in this case a
              socket) to be out of control in terms of throwing at it a "Transaction
              rolled back exception"?
              I have modified my code in order to set SO_TIMEOUT on the socket just in
              case the other peer hangs and never returns control. But I would like to
              know the problem could be there.
              I know for sure that at the time the thread stalled the other peer died
              (exceptions on other MDBs trying to connect to remote system) but I expected
              a "socket exception" to be thrown by the O.S. to the stalled thread instead
              of having the thread waiting forever on that "open" socket.
              Thanks in advance.
              Ignacio.

    While a tramsaction may be rolled back at the transaction timeout,
              the thread is not stopped. The actual exception won't occur until
              the MDB completes. If the MDB doesn't complete (as in this case),
              you won't get the exception.
